A priority of mine upon moving to Louisiana became immersing my son in the culture I was fortunate enough to live in before I went to college in Syracuse. At every opportunity, we went out into the bayous and swamps, took tours and visited with locals, ate out at the sheds tucked away on dirt roads (best crawfish ever), and visited the tribes I worked closely with.
