I had the privilege of being able to stand on the sidelines and take pictures of the Lee County HS girl's soccer team (on which my daughter is the assistant coach). Although the quality of these photos is not the greatest (night game, "low shutter speed"), they can serve the purpose to help educate minor details to help the girls play a more fulfilling match.

As always, thanks for your views, comments and faves!

I'm sitting working at my desk looking out the window and stressing about the little baby monkey! The mommy has decided to let this little guy learn the ropes (so to speak) and he is jumping from branch to branch in the tree - falling and grabbing and I am stressing more than the monkeys about it! I feel like going and putting a safety net up for the little thing!!

Shiver me timbers! Kids at the Avondale Regional Branch Library's Tot Time – Pirates Rock! train to be pirates by learning to row a boat, crossing a crocodile pit, singing pirate shangies, and walking the plank! All passed with flying colors!

Please vote for Learning Pet in the Open Hardware Summit Scholarship!

Designed for elementary school students, Learning Pet enriches lessons by creating a physical interface to interact with the virtual world. We demonstrate a number sorting game, where the student interacts with the robot to blast virtual UFO's with the lowest value. Correct answers are celebrated with a wing flap, and each level-up with a dance. We use the Accessory Development Kit to interface with mobile devices while away from the computer.
