Republic Services, a silver level sponsor of LagoonFest 2016, demonstrated how to recycle right by placing appropriate items in the blue and yellow recycling bins.
First they tried rubbing two sticks together, then they tried using rope and a stick for more friction, then they tried matches and an accelerant (a bottle of Jager found in the woods!), then they realized modern advances have their place and settled for a lighter. Even that was still a challenge. I guess you could say the fire hazard was low that day.
Us mamas called it science class. (And were very careful to put it all out.)

Painted Stork Juvenile
The light was pretty harsh there and technically this pic has some drawbacks. But, I love this action. Widespread resident and found normally in Inland and Coastal wetlands of India. Juvenile is dirty greyish-white, with grey-brown (feathered) head and neck and brown lesser coverts. Bill and legs duller than adult's. Adults are colorful with lots of Orange-yellow and red on face and legs. Closeup of adult is coming soon.. stay tuned!

This picture represents learning how to put makeup on. I remember my debut in high school…the first experiences. I wanted to feel beautiful and I wanted the boys to look at me. I learned from my mom and did it with my friends. I would also read magazines to get tips. I became a reference in terms of makeup! I think it is symbolic in a woman’s life and it is an important step as well. Once you’ve started, you can’t stop, and it follows you your whole life! Makeup is also a very powerful seduction tool. I chose this picture because I had bought new makeup and I was getting ready for Christmas dinner at my grandmother’s house. I also like the way I look in that dress even if the face isn’t that nice! : ( I think makeup is like straightening my hair, as I explained in “Straight Hair”.
After looking skywards at what the big boys and girl Blacked headed gulls were doing this young chick not wanted to be left out set off to do the same. Unfortunately he/she made it only a few iches but, its a start.
At the Eastwood Branch Library's Summer Learning program Animals Rock, Alabama 4-H educates the audience about how animals thrive and survive in the real world. The "show and tell" style presentation of live animals featured a turtle, bearded dragon, Cooper's Hawk, American vulture, and a California king snake.

These are my nine pages of Chinese practice. I've done them on my own with the help of my "tutor." Each page has 250 squares, which makes over 2000 squares I've done.
walking down an alleyway behind some apartments we came across this man teaching his wife how to ride a bicycle. He was doing all the work as she couldn't go straight or stay upright unless he held on the back of the bicycle and ran along with her. He was her set of "training wheels"
