After taking suggestions from faculty and students I did a few mockups to change minor details. We can all agree these didn't turn out so well, hence why we are sticking with the original.
Trying on a new color combination and enhancing speed in making vector arts...took me 1 hour to do this...still slow=(

He came upstairs asking me to build him a BIG track. So, I went down with him just after 1 pm. I built him his BIG track and came back upstairs at just after 2 pm. Wow, I didn't realize that it had taken me this long to build it.
The only problem that I had with my "help" was that he wanted to take it apart about 5 minutes after I went back upstairs because he was done. I had to tell him that we needed to save it and show his sisters when they got home. He agreed, Therefore it still stands. Then again, he is still asleep from his nap, so there is no telling how long it will last when he gets up and also if he remembers taht it is down there. We'll see!!!
For this layout, I wrapped black ribbon around the green frame for texture, and used glimmer mist in the left hand corner, sprinkeling a few extra drops all over the page. The black orchid piece is hand cut. The photo is desaturated quite a bit, with a transparent color layer.
