taken with my camera held overhead - explains the wonkiness of the image. nonetheless, taking a few snapshots during the process really helped me decide on elements i liked and those i did not, pools of color that worked and areas which needed more contrast.
really really terrible depiction of my home's layout. It's not to scale, but it gives you an idea.
the thick black lines are windows.
Layout Flyaway off bars. J thinks this is awesome because you can't see the bars and it looks like she is a really high tumbler!
Meu primeiro layout com manipulação para o Miley Cyrus BR. Eu achei que ficou com um ar bem dark, coloquei também passaros a voar. Encomenda feita no meu blog: paigedesigns.tk/

Layout A Day Day 23: Journaling the tough times. You Are Special: Photo of my grandmother taken on November 7, 2006. Prima paper, K&Company diecuts, Cosmo Cricket (title) card.
Didn't see this challenge coming! Phoned my mom this morning to get the details I couldn't remember. There will be additional journaling on the back since I couldn't fit the entire story here.
Provavelmente será o proximo layout do about us designs *-* eu achei muito lindo mesmo. Como eu sou muito indecisa ainda nao sei se vou usa-lo *-* Comentem!
This Albertsons was built on the site of a planned Lucky Savon store. As part of Albertsons merger with Lucky, this land site was purchased by Albertsons. This store never officially went beyond groundbreaking with Lucky because there were historical artifacts found during construction, delaying any further progression of construction by Lucky.
Consequently, this store as fully funded and built by Albertsons, since delays extended past the merger. However it kept the same planned layout as the planned Lucky Savon. Its layout is very similar to Albertsons #01 in Huntington Beach, also built as a planned Lucky Savon, which opened as an Albertsons Savon. This store opened in 2002.
An Albertsons Express gas station was built in the parking lot of this store, and opened along with the store in 2002. It was sold off to USA Gasoline in 2012, and is now a Shell branded gas station today.
This Albertsons for some reason was not built with the newer Jewel/Santa Fe layout that some of the planned Lucky Savon store opened with around this time. Rather, this Albertsons still opened with a drop ceiling, and actually opened with Blue and Green Awnings (probably one of the last stores to open with this interior), which can be seen with the Awnings that still remain in this store and were never removed in any of the remodels. In 2009-10ish would have been around when this store would have been renovated to PFH, based on when its remodel cycle would have been.
In 2015, like over 60 other Albertsons, Vons, and Pavilions stores faced, this store was purchased as a divest by Haggen in order to finalize Albertsons merger with Safeway (Vons). It didn't last long before Haggen's demise in California, and less than a year later, "Albertsons Coming Soon" banners were hung on the front of the now empty store indicating the return of Albertsons. It reopened later that year with the LLC store, which is what many Albertsons that were bought back opened with. As of my previous visit, this store since has not been renovated out of LLC. I imagine a remodel of this store will likely come soon since it is due.
This Albertsons was built with four exterior entrances, two on the far right and left side of the store, and two in the center closer to the check stands. The very far right entrance, which is the pharmacy entrance, was closed off sometime in the early 2020's. The pharmacy side which was originally the Savon portion of the store has a lot of empty space, likely since a lot of Savon's product assortment can no longer be found here.
Este eu particularmente achei um espetáculo, ficou bem a cara que o cliente queria para apresentar seus produtos. O Layout funcional pode ser visualizado em:

I keep pointing to and referring this layout by the almighty Bryan Veloso from circa 2006. I remember it being an inspiration back then and has definitely left a mark amongst many of us... myself included. It still pops up every now and then in conversations with colleagues.
Now, this is problematic and it's bigger than might appear at first glance. The ephemerality of our medium is becoming more and more overbearing. I keep referring back to sites that have been redesigned, have moved or simply have ceased to exist.
Thankfully, there's Internet Archive... still, although their effort is amazing and definitely valued, it isn't 100% effective nor complete. Thus, I'll start archiving a few role models that have lead me along the path of this web industry of ours.
