View across a hazy Eryri today, what a change from last Friday when we had 50mph wind and heavy snow.
Shot for Macro Mondays, theme "Layers".
In my garden there stands an old and eroded wall. Over the years, I guess many attempts have been made to repair it. Thin layers of different materials are visible. Nevertheless, the wall is slowly crumbling. Shall I have a go at it as well?
Have a nice Monday!
These two pieces of Tiger's Eye (courtesy of SWMBO's jewellery stock) show the characteristic layers created by the deposition of dissolved minerals in quartz rock containing some crocidolite cracks.
Quartz begins to grow on the crack surface, while crocidolite fibres begin to grow from pieces of crocidolite that are on the crack surface. The crack area fills with new material and then the rock cracks again, usually in a sliding motion along the existing crack surface because it is weaker than other areas.
This process forms bands of quartz with diagonal, discontinuous crocidolite fibres creating what is known as Hawk's Eye. After some of the iron in the crocidolite oxidises, the material becomes the familiar shades of brown and gold of Tiger's Eye.
Each stone is 16mm by 12mm.
United Airline's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner hovers above the three layers of dead grass, trees and mountains - a metaphor for our lives. All of us experience failures (dead grass), but we learn to grow from them (trees) for the challenges that face ahead (mountains). Our lives are in the hands of our fate (plane) and we should not only bare our life events, but love them and find the good in them for our lives.

I forget the name of this particular place but it was a spontaneous stop on my trip around the ring road. At first I didn't like this picture, but I now appreciate the congruency of the ice, mountains, and clouds.

...of colours and moods...or else some recent events and a naration over them.
...a blog post partly written in two languages, while exercising my slowly emerging sense of humour...
Have a lovely day and thank's so much for all the recent visits and wonderfful comments of yours!
Image made for the Macro Mondays group's June 1 theme, "Layers."
Cinnamon Graham Crackers are layered in their cellophane wrapper.
Layers on cabinet quality plywood. About 1/2 think overall. Thin top layer is the finished layer.

This picture was also taken during sunset at the Peilstein summit cross, where I zoomed right into the distant hills (sry for the jpg artifacts which are the result of reducing the image).
The whispers in the morning
Of lovers sleeping tight
Are rolling by like thunder now
As I look in your eyes
I hold on to your whole body
And feel each move you make
Your voice is warm and tender
A love that I could not forsake
'Cause I am your lady
And you are my man
Whenever you reach for me
I'll do all that I can
Lost is how I'm feeling lying in your arms
When the world outside's too
Much to take
That all ends when I'm with you
Even though there may be times
It seems I'm far away
Never wonder where I am
'Cause I am always by your side
'Cause I am your lady
And you are my man
Whenever you reach for me
I'll do all that I can
We're heading for something
Somewhere I've never been
Sometimes I am frightened
But I'm ready to learn
Of the power of love
The sound of your heart beating
Made it clear
Suddenly the feeling that I can't go on
Is light years away
'Cause I am your lady
And you are my man
Whenever you reach for me
I'm going to do all that I can
We're heading for something
Somewhere I've never been
Sometimes I am frightened
But I'm ready to learn
Of the power of love
The power of love, the power of love, the power of love
Sometime I am frightened but I'm ready to leaen
The power of l-ooooo-ve oh
The power of love
Oh ooo oh
The power of love.

This is a tea-rose, name Just Joey, from the garden...
I don't talk to flowers, they talk to me and I gladly listen!
It speaks of freedom, flight, spreading your wings, enjoying the light, having just opened from the bud in delicious curves...
For years I 'experimented' in the studio, to get that Flemish painter's light? Well, I was born in Flanders, it must be in my blood? LOL.

Lead and enjoy a good life, do and say things that enrich... and do not forget to tell the people close to you, how much you love them!

WHAT PART of DO NOT USE is it that you DO NOT UNDERSTAND?
I find my images on numerous blogs and websites EVERY DAY, without my permission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why not view the set as a slide-show?
Also I often upload more than one image at the same time, I see a tendency to only view the last uploaded...
