Stopped by to say hello and give you a new picture of me. This is me untouched and all parts (yes) are real and me. By the way I love red.
On the latest episode of All Through a Lens, we talked about the various ways in which we discover places to photograph. This location was found accidentally while looking at another.
The orginal photographer, who submitted a photo to GoogleMaps, mistagged their photo. But through a bit of sloothing, I was able to find this (albeit nearby) bridge.
We shot a bit the evening previous, drove out, and drove back to it in the morning.
This was the first shot that I took in the evening. It was handheld with the Graflex - something I'm trying to grow into more and more.
This bridge was built in 1915ish. It is on public land.

The latest addition to my collection of long sunray pleated skirts. This one jumped the queue in that I wore it the day after I received it. I still have some sunray skirts that are still waiting to be worn months after I'd received them. Just looking for the right moment ;-)
This image is completely inspired (borderline copied) by Rosie Hardy, one of my favorite photographers. I absolutely love her work and wanted to try and create a similar image on the fly (pun not intended). She is

Found this in an antique store today. The guy who owned it was a picker and had an entire footlocker full of a pilot's belongings from the war. He let me look through the locker, and I ended up finding this incredible piece of artwork. Probably intended as a birthday joke to this pilot, it shows his unit's insignia. The 517th Airlift Squadron was activated in 1940 and participated in several major operations in WWII, most notably for me dropping American paratroopers onto the isle of Sicily in July of '43.
Ended up on getting this for 25 bucks. Not a bad price indeed.

Latest in my "five years apart" pics. Pic on the left was taken January 22, 2015 the one on the right on January 7 this year. Sorry, I couldn't get the days to match.
TBH, I really don't like the earlier one; I was struggling with my makeup, my wigs, my poses and expressions, even my outfit's not quite that great.
Though I did post it on Flickr, but only for Friends; though it got a couple of thousand views, but no comments or likes (hardly surprising).
During 2015, I did get better at this whole dressing thing, learning what worked for me, and figuring out a few hacks and shortcuts with makeup, plus which tools to use.
Though I also look at this (and also the many many many reject pics that I still have and will NEVER post) and think "who on earth was I kidding?".
For me, a big part of my trans identity is trying to look classy and elegant, and (most important in my eyes) not just an object of ridicule. I have this sort of dual thing going where I really don't want to look like a bloke in a dress, but at the same time I know I'm never going to pass (largely because I'm tall, love high heels, and "look-at-me" outfits) and I don't care. I guess I really just aim to be an attractive-looking gender-fluid human.
I'm vain enough to think that I'm starting to get there, so thank you so much to all the people who post such lovely comments, and invite me to post on groups with seriously gorgeous t-girls. That does so much for my ego and confidence.
I've sort of obsessively tried to improve my MU skills, watching Youtube tutorials, going for makeovers, and learning how to hide my (many) flaws and make the most of my few better attributes.
I aim to keep posting "five year" pics in the coming months, and I feel there are some real improvements that start to happen.
Also, I hope that if you're a tgirl struggling with her MU (which is the key, IMHO) outfits, looks and more, and wondering if you'll ever get a result you'll be happy with (though remember many many others won't be nearly so critical as you are of yourself!), that this can help you realise that practice and experimenting will get you there in the end.

Webb has revealed an exoplanet atmosphere as never seen before!
The telescope has revisited gas giant WASP-39 b to give us the first molecular and chemical profile of an exoplanet’s atmosphere, revealing the presence of water, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, sodium and potassium, as well as signs of clouds. This builds on Webb’s initial look at the planet back in August, which showed the first clear evidence of carbon dioxide in a planet outside our solar system. The latest findings bode well for Webb’s capability to investigate all types of exoplanets, including the atmospheres of smaller, rocky planets like those in the TRAPPIST-1 system.
We learn about exoplanet atmospheres by breaking their light into components and creating spectra. Think of a spectrum as a barcode. Elements and molecules have characteristic signatures in that “barcode” we can read.
This planet is what is known as a “hot Saturn” — a planet about as massive as Saturn but eight times closer in orbit around its star than Mercury is around the Sun. The data shown here is taken from 3 of Webb’s science instruments. Together, they mark a series of firsts in science, including the first detection of sulfur dioxide in an exoplanet atmosphere. This, in turn, is the first concrete evidence of photochemistry — chemical reactions initiated by high-energy light, which are fundamental to life on Earth — on an exoplanet. Understanding the ratio of different elements in relation to each other also offers clues as to how the planet was formed.

The top graph shows data from Webb’s NIRISS instrument, the bottom graph data from NIRSpec. Both graphs show the amount of light blocked on the y axis versus wavelength of light on the x axis. The y axes range from 2.00 percent (less light blocked) to 2.35 percent (more light blocked). The x axes range from less than 0.1 microns to 5.5 microns. Data points are plotted as white circles with gray error bars. A curvy blue line represents a best-fit model. The NIRISS data covers a range of about 0.5 to 3.0 microns and highlights the signatures of potassium, water and carbon monoxide in semi-transparent bars of varying colors. Potassium is gray, water is blue, and carbon monoxide is red. The NIRSpec data covers a range of about 2.5 to 5.25 microns. It highlights water and carbon monoxide in addition to sulfur dioxide in green and carbon dioxide in yellow.

Saturn is so beautiful that astronomers cannot resist using the Hubble Space Telescope to take yearly snapshots of the ringed world when it is at its closest distance to Earth.
These images, however, are more than just beauty shots. They reveal a planet with a turbulent, dynamic atmosphere. This year's Hubble offering, for example, shows that a large storm visible in the 2018 Hubble image in the north polar region has vanished. Smaller storms pop into view like popcorn kernels popping in a microwave oven before disappearing just as quickly. Even the planet's banded structure reveals subtle changes in color.
But the latest image shows plenty that hasn't changed. The mysterious six-sided pattern, called the "hexagon," still exists on the north pole. Caused by a high-speed jet stream, the hexagon was first discovered in 1981 by NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft.
Saturn's signature rings are still as stunning as ever. The image reveals that the ring system is tilted toward Earth, giving viewers a magnificent look at the bright, icy structure. Hubble resolves numerous ringlets and the fainter inner rings.
This image reveals an unprecedented clarity only seen previously in snapshots taken by NASA spacecraft visiting the distant planet. Astronomers will continue their yearly monitoring of the planet to track shifting weather patterns and identify other changes. The second in the yearly series, this image is part of the Outer Planets Atmospheres Legacy (OPAL) project. OPAL is helping scientists understand the atmospheric dynamics and evolution of our solar system's gas giant planets.

Feeling a little better yesterday I changed from my denim skirt and top to my latest Lindy Bop purchase. I seem to attract them every where I go and even when I bought this dress there were 2 more that I could have bought in my size. This is a different style to the others that I have and is what I think is called a Tea dress. It’s lined and not full but does benefit from a nice neckline, lovely material and a pretty print pattern. I am wearing it with grey suede wedges, black hose and a nice cardigan. The dog looks stunned by my beauty! Lol
