On the second day of the festivities in Medellin, Feria de Flores, the parade features people mostly from the farming village of Santa Elena who decorate elaborate arrays of flowers, called silletos, usually affixed to a large, wooden disc 3 to 7 feet in diameter. That disc is attached to a wooden frame and carried on the backs of the villagers, then called the silleteros, or silleteras (female, plural). Often this arrangement is a family tradition. The local scouting troup is often at standby in the event that a silletero(a) may require assistance. As in a lot of parades there are other participants as people with musical instruments. The parade last through the early evening. And, as luck would have it, it rained.

This is my little sister's scar after her back operation.
She has scoliosis, which is curvature of the spine.
Her spine got to nearly a 90 degree curve before it was operated on.
As imaged, she's being through alot of pain, but she's stayed strong. And she's come out the other side alot stronger.
