One of tens (or hundreds?) of photos trying to catch the pelicans in flight (Los Roques, Venezuela).
Yes, I had fun photographing this nest. Good location and POV, wind was at my back so the landings were coming in towards me for once.
it was a full contact landing for this fish. there was bleeding and squriming and splashing, but the fish uninjured.
This heron had been standing on the canal bank for some while as I photographed it. Then a jogger came along and when he got within a couple of yards the heron flew in a tight circle over the canal and then landed back where it had been standing before.
No photoshop here - other than adjusting the levels and boosting the contrast & sharpness a bit. This seagull just came in from a landing while I was aiming the camera up there.
Coming down into Tignes, the pisteurs closed it for an impromptu landing so that some poor unfortunate could be swiftly taken off the slopes.

TO VIEW sit back from your monitor 2 feet and place your index finger about 10 inches in front of your eyes and focus on your finger. This will cause your eyes to go comfortably cross eyed. Keep that same cross eyed focus and notice there are now 3 photos in the back ground. Do not let your eyes leave the cross eye as you look at the middle picture which has appeared. Now increase or decrease how much your eyes are cross eyed until the image pops into 3D. Your eyes will want to leave the cross eye, but fight that urge. This is an acquired skill and takes practice. Stop if it's uncomfortable.

more pelicans on the way :-)
Sorry for the blurriness of the photo, but I love the owl's landing position and the neat shadow its wings make.
