While the EYE and the Tower present an exciting vista across the IJ river towards central Amsterdam, the noblest building in the Overhoeks district is the A Lab. Formerly part of the Shell Laboratories (built 1929), it has been recently re-born as labs and offices for start-ups. Overhoeks, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Tragically, there is a lab animal area still in use at Michael Reese Hospital. Luckily, we couldn't get in there, or I would have been likely to release the animals!

I visited SUNY New Paltz today, the sight of my three trips through college. Much of my course work was in the Old Main Building. this room was a computer lab where as an undergrad I took my first ever computer course "Computers in the Classroom" in the fall of 1987. This was the era of DOS and the IBM PC.
