Reccuring dream in darker regions ll
I am alone uneasy restless trembling as l drift to awakening dreams. I become lost in dark corners . My heart sinking through my body. My books scattered pages torn floating every mark letter none sensical.. No book or pen brush to weave my inner voice. l light a single match. My fragility become my power as my body illuminates through the darkness with the smallest ray of hope carries me through the darkness through the stormy clouds as l dream myself back to my inner world of freedom..
A message to all women in the world... Freedom resides deep within You!! You are precious, unique individuals !! Freedom of choice and expression is your human right. Sending love and light!!
I am thinking about humanity in art and the struggles many artists woman face in their art/ life. That ,pain we feel suffering real things that empower art the energy that moves resides deep within you that ignites it, We mustn't lose our essence, listen to your inner voice that helps you stay true and be free to express yourself as an artist creator an individual. This is precious!! It is important we stay true....
My heart goes out to the very brave, courageous Ukrainian people and all innocent people who are suffering through this war. l pray for peace and harmony soon to the Ukrainian people to the world. Stay strong !

This is one of Teddy's latest favourites ;) He has tons of toys but since buying this for his Birthday earlier this year he has become rather obsessed! After a good session of play he'll flop down and rest with the Starfish still in his mouth...... he even falls asleep like it!
Oh and yes it really is like double the size of him!

Thank you so much Emz and Rana for the testimonials :)
I think sometimes I get so caught up in that burning need to fulfill everyone's expectations, I forget that something called simplicity still exists.

I'll tell you what, it's been a long and I mean LONG time since this girl has been on my photostream! She's about the only one who can take better pictures than most of my girls on here! So I decided to let Jessica take the spotlight today ;)
The Scuttlebug was designed as a mining and demolitions mech. Featuring two missile pods, laser cutters, and flexible manipulator arms, the Scuttlebug was equally capable of breaking rocks or decommissioned machinery.
Having Anna in the studio couldn’t have been more inspiring. I think we both deal with similar human desires, abysses, and mental uncertainties.
"short films – …and then we‘ll call it even"
In the silent arena of our minds, where thoughts dance like invisible actors, a profound equality among us all is revealed. These inner conflicts, which do not manifest themselves in the outside world, are the invisible threads that weave the fabric of human existence. They are the silent struggles that each of us, regardless of gender or external circumstances, wages in the depths of our souls. These inner struggles are not mere challenges, but essential components of human existence that initiate us into the mysteries of life.
Every person faces their own inner battles, which are unique in their intensity and significance. These psychological struggles cannot be compared, as they are an expression of each individual's journey through the depths of consciousness. They are the touchstones that shape us and lead us to explore the limits of our being. Overcoming these inner conflicts holds the possibility of growth, transformation, and enlightenment.
The pursuit of overcoming these inner struggles is a deeply personal and often solitary journey. It challenges us to look into the darkness within ourselves and find the glimmers of light that guide us. In this inner argument lies the chance to discover the essence of our being and strengthen the connection to our true self. Thus, these inner conflicts are not only tests, but also invitations to self-knowledge and spiritual development.

I kept this series practically closed as a self-portrait series for a very long time. I think it’s time to open it up and at the same time connect it to my overarching theme, the portraits.
As a rule, these are long exposure shots with exposure times varying between 2 and 30 seconds. In this case 2 seconds. They are series that deal with a range of human feelings and thoughts. They deal with desire, loss, regret and pain and the attempt to process all of this.

I'll be appearing on the next episode of The Two Hosers Photo Show, and they've given me the weekly photo challenge.... "the longest day" (in honour of the summer solstice). Wide open to interpretation, and this is what I've come up with.
This image is photographed at The Wildflower Farm, a favourite location of mine to go shoot flower, insects and water droplets. Closed to the public, but they still let me poke around. One of the interesting things they have are these strange bicycle-based lawn mower contraptions. The front wheel is replaced with a grass-cutting blade apparatus, surely intended to make lawn mowing a faster task.... but it looks painfully labour intensive and time consuming.
Imagine cutting an entire field with a tool such as this? I think it would be the longest day of my life. Right behind this apple tree is a fledgling meadow, but the foreground grass is carefully manicured. I hope they aren't using these bikes to get the job done!
Oh, and this is a false-colour infrared image, shot with a modified camera. In infrared light, anything capable of photosynthesis typically glows brightly, giving a ghostly surreal look to the scene. The sky in this spectrum is often dark, and I was trying to frame the bright tree in the dark sky. This required me to set my tripod at nearly ground-level (thank you Gitzo for a removable center column) to find the right angle.
When shooting infrared, the camera will only capture the deepest reds in the visible spectrum, and also capture colours beyond our visual perception. These colours can be remapped into a range more natural to the way we see the world, usually done by swapping the red and blue colour channels as a starting point. I think I'll write a tutorial on my workflow in the near future. :)

This is a Japanese Iki Iki Hair Fair head made for the Iki Iki Living Doll Body... a Japanese market exclusive as I understand, but I can fimd no reference to it at all.... She is on a borrowed body from my Sears Action Accents Barbie for this picture only. She models Lamb 'N Leather beatifully in my opinion. Head is factory fresh, cello and hair string intact.

I am thinking about the struggles women/ children are faced with every day who are bravely fighting for their freedom and rights and hope they are soon liberated and live life in freedom and peace soon.

Happy leap year day! :)

Hope you guys had a great Wednesday!
So no one told you life was gonna be this way
Your job's a joke, you're broke, your love life's D.O.A.
It's like you're always stuck in second gear
When it hasn't been your day, your week
Your month, or even your year, but
I'll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
I'll be there for you
(Like I've been there before)
I'll be there for you
('Cause you're there for me too)...

"I'll send an SOS to the world..., I hope that someone gets my ... I hope that someone gets my message in a bottle" (The Police). I found this bottle on the beach today and was able to make this shot with the lovely soft light of the sunset. No need to ask, yes I got wet feet and as it now seems also a cold.
FYI - I took the bottle with me and threw it into the thrash... and may I wish all of you a happy 2008!

I missed my Flickr Peeps and wanted to give you a little bit of a sunrise fence this morning. I know, the sunrise is a bit underwhelming *heavy sigh* but it finally did peek out a bit and give the sky some color! I'll be catching up to everyone tonight ... as today is a girl's day! *happy dance*
Happy Fence Friday!!

I'll confess, this quilt was started awhile ago to be used as a "solids" demonstration piece for my LQS and has nothing to do with this swap. My inspiration came from a black and white rug hooking drawing by Karla Gerard that I saw on someone's pinterest board. Needless to say, this 14x21 1/2 quilt is both machine and hand quilted with the addition of over 100 tiny buttons, plus white french knots to give a mystical affect. Now, I must get serious and make my partner's quilt. Stay tuned......

We'll all have to think of ways to pass the time and keep us going, now we're in lock down. Hopefully we'll be able to continue with short walks - this view is from a spot about 15 minutes walk from my house, looking across Padfield and Tintwistle to the hills beyond.
Stay safe!
PS - spot the plane!
