As the Giant Squid jets away the young Sperm whale readjusts its angle of attack and his lower jaw clamps down on a feeding tentacle and an arm capturing the cephalopod in a deadly grip. The battle of the leviathans rages on as survival begins to fade for the great invertebrate.

...in the Firth of Lorn.

This vessel is also a regular visitor to the Bristol Channel.

I aimed my camera where there was a disturbance under the water. She slowly rose and stuck her nose above the surface briefly then sank out of sight. This shot was the most I was able to see of her in the murky water.

Travel-North says: "You hold your breath when you see him!

This raw and great monument looking at Skagen in Vardø.

You see vardo-drakkar-025the remains of a Viking ship, a dinosaur and a whale in the pose of the sky.

He guards Bussesundet and show the way so that people at sea can continue to find their way to Vardø.

In your imagination do you see he comes roaring up from the raging sea. Skim runs while he climbs up the mountain on Skagen then solidify in its awesome splendor.

The population of Vardø he presses to his breast, has made him a landmark. The name is «Drakkar».

Designed and built by young wood craftsmen from Arkhangelsk."

Name: Leviathan

Length: 106 studs

Captain: Ezra Blackthorn

(Number of SHIPs I've built:1)

Excerpt from “Unexplained Mysteries of Deep Space, Vol. XII”:

“… At the time of construction, the Leviathan was considered an engineering marvel. Much has been written about its technical prowess that gave it superiority in countless battles during the Third Galactic War. However, much less is known about the mysterious circumstances surrounding the Leviathan’s sudden disappearance.

Sometime after the Battle of Delta Cygni, Capt. Ezra Blackthorn reported that they had encountered a strange, green-glowing orb during a deep-space patrol. It emitted immeasurable amounts of energy. Capt. Blackthorn felt that if they could find a way for the Leviathan to harness that energy, the ship’s offensive and defensive power would be insurmountable and they could bring about a swift end to the war… The results of those efforts are uncertain. The last known communication received from the Leviathan was that they had successfully coupled the orb to the power-core, and that they were routing its power to all systems…”

Introducing the Leviathan, a quad barreled canister fed automatically reloading rocket firing platform. Designed by MPA to destroy anything. Absolutely anything. Just point and let the gun do the smiting.

Warning: requires exoskeletal support frame to fire.

Credit to Worlock for his awesome red button/switch thingies.

Alright, for those who wonder, this is what I'm thinking all of the buttons/switches are for.

-Big red two stage switch/button on bottom: Main safety, arms rockets (rockets cannot be fired before it is pressed. Rockets will be automatically disarmed if the cover is flipped shut after button is pressed to prevent accidental firing if weapon is dropped.

-The two red knobs on bottom: Can be used to adjust time and/or distance to explode if such features are supported by the rockets being fired (to activate, knobs must be pressed in after set to the right setting)

-Four metal switches on the side: designate which tubes will be fired (all four can be fired at once, or only specific tubes if desired. If set to only firing Tube 1, the weapon will automatically cycle through each of the tubes one at a time- for example: if Tube 1 is the only one active, first shot will fire Tube 1, then second shot will automatically fire Tube 2 without needing to have Tube 2 set on. This continues with 3 and 4 as well.)

-Red button on the side of grip: hand safety. Ensures the weapon cannot be fired unless hand is on the grip, and in such a way as to press the button down.

-Red button on the end of support rod: Press once (extends outward) twist until click, then press back in. This releases the trigger mechanism for dis-assembly or for mounting on a computer controlled firing mechanism (turret, unmanned platform, vehicle, etc.)

-Red trigger: Fires = makes things die very fast in a big kaboom.

If ya want, click all sizes.

Here is the sea, great and wide, which teems with creatures innumerable, living things both small and great. There go the ships, and Leviathan, which you formed to play in it.

The primary power on the Harrisburg, Lincoln & Lancaster is is this 2010 replica 4-4-0, American Standard, which was built by David Kloke in 2010. Originally, she was built as a Central Pacific Locomotive, #63 "Leviathan", and a sister to the locomotive "Jupiter", which appeared at the Last Spike Ceremony on the first Transcontinental Railroad, on May 10th, of 1869. The reason she was built as one of Jupiter's sister is because she was built from the very plans and patterns that were developed by O'Connor Engineering, when they built the Jupiter replica for the Golden Spike National Historical Park.

After appearing as "Leviathan 63" at numerous tourist railroads around the US for the better part of a decade, this engine was acquired by David Abel, the owner of Stone Gables Estate for use in special events on his property, notably, re-enactments of the Lincoln Funeral Train. Because of this and the fact that the locomotive would be operating in Pennsylvania going forward, the Central Pacific livery on this engine really didn't fit well with the theme of the new operation. So, some minor changes were made, removing all of the CP markings as well as the Leviathan name on the tender, and replacing it with a tasteful "Penna. RR" and the number 331, which was the Pennsy engine that pulled the Lincoln Funeral Train while it was on Pennsylvania trackage. No physical changes were made to the locomotive and the railroad does not anticipate making any going forward.

On earth there is not his like, a creature without fear.

-Job 41:33, KJV

Anish Kapoor Monumenta

Grand Palais Paris

This colossus is one of Germany’s biggest industrial monuments. In the past, several thousand workers were drudging here under the most severe conditions day after day. In this former steel mill, all the production stages, from processing ore to the final goods, were realized in the tightest of spaces. After 15 years of being decommissioned, the monstrous industrial park was still appearing in working order. But when we were daring to enter the belly of the beast, we realized that the old plant is only a ruin. Pipes and steel beams, thick like tree trunks, are the skeleton of the leviathan but have been gnawed on by rust.

I purchased this Leviathan figure from Fortnite made by Jazwares. I am very impressed by the quality of the figure - and it’s super poseable with 40 point of articulation!

We went to the riparian preserve in Gilbert, AZ over the weekend and I snapped this shot with the vintage Helios 44-2. I’ve been using the lensbaby Twist 60 quite often but I just love the look of the Helios. It really cannot be replicated. It’s just got so much character in the blur.

Gulf Crayfish Snake (Regina rigida sinicola). Deep East Texas.

Without scale for size, I thought that this little snake could pass for some mythical sea serpent hellbent on destroying a seaborne vessel intruding on its domain.

I say little, but as far as Gulf Crayfish Snakes go, this was a large specimen, over 2 feet in length. My wife spotted it while we were walking the edge of one of the ponds on my friends James and Erin Childress's land.

You crushed the heads of Leviathan; you gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness.

Some ages back, one of the lindens got it in their head to build an enormous skeleton and put it in the midst of a water sim. I went and was suitably impressed. You can go have a peek too!

I honestly thought I would never finish it because I was having so much trouble with how to make a natural looking sea monster. This was the 14 attempt at creating Leviathan and I ended getting most of the inspiration for it from a leviathan from Subnautica.
