Während mein Malerkollege (Achim von Heimburg, Offenburg) das große Kerkerbild als Prospekt malt, bin ich mit den beiden Kulissen-Teilen für rechts und links beschäftigt.
While my fellow painter (Achim von Heimburg, Offenburg) paints the big picture dungeon as a prospectus, I have been working with the two scenes parts for the right and left.

Blühender Mohn, Mohnwiese

Wie ein blühender Wandteppich wirkt dieses Gemälde. Es ist ein flimmerndes Geflecht aus leuchtenden Tupfen, in dem das Rot des Mohns als tragende Farbe hervorsticht. Kein Sonnenlicht ist erkennbar und auch kein Schatten, vereinzelt nur Konturen von Bäumen und am hohen Horizont ein grauer Streifen des Himmels. Die Strahlkraft des französischen Impressionismus hat Klimt zu Bildern wie diesem inspiriert. Doch vermittelt seine Mohnwiese statt eines flüchtigen Seherlebnisses genau das Gegenteil – nämlich das Harmonische und ewig Gültige der Natur. Klimt malt das Bild in der Umgebung des oberösterreichischen Attersees, wo er ab 1900 alljährlich seine Sommerfrische verbringt.

Mehrmals habe ich schon in Auvers sur Oise, ca. 70 km nordwestlich von Paris besucht. Es ist der Ort in dem V. van Gogh seine letzten Lebensmonate verbracht und sich auf einem Feld erschossen 1890 hat. Auf dem Friedhof ist sein einfaches Grab zu finden. Auf dieser Straße ist er oft zu den Weizenfeldern gegangen.
Several times I visited Auvers sur Oise, about 70 km northwest of Paris. It is the place where V. van Gogh spent his last months of life and shot himself in a field in 1890. In the cemetery his simple grave can be found. On this road he often went to the wheat fields.

Die Pappel und die Treppe im Garten von Versailles beschäftigte mich damals sehr. Ich dachte dabei an vergangene Zeiten, auch an meine Eltern, die Familie und mich. Ich verglich die vorgefundene Situation mit meiner persönlichen Entwicklung, wie ich der Kindheit entwachsen und allein gelassen groß geworden war.
The poplar and the stairs in the garden of Versailles occupy myself at that time very. I was thinking of times past, even to my parents, the family and me. I compared the given situation with my personal development as I outgrown childhood and had become abandoned large.
Judith und Holofernes

In this context, I highly recommend the oratorio 'Juditha triumphans' (RV 644) by Antonio Vivaldi. This is more than two hours of the most gripping, fantastic music. Es sind Autos, damals billige Gebrauchte Fahrzeuge, die ich mir bis zur nächsten Reparatur leisten konnte und in denen ich um 1970 als junger Mann selbst gefahren bin - ein Erinnerungsbild für mich. Ein alter BMW V8 zwängt sich unter dem Bilderrahmen auf die Mal-Palette.

They are cars, at that time cheap used vehicles, which I could afford until the next repair and in which I drove myself around 1970 as a young man myself - a souvenir for me. An old BMW V8 squeezes under the picture frame on the paint palette.

Mit der Eisenbahn kann man von Freiburg im Breisgau aus der Rheinebene über den Schwarzwald zur Donauquelle und zum weiteren Verlauf des Flusses fahren. Über die Autobahnbrücke kann man nach Stuttgart oder zum Bodensee fahren.
With the railway you can travel from Freiburg in the Breisgau from the Rheinebene over the Schwarzwald to the Danube source and to the further course of the river. Via the motorway bridge you can go to Stuttgart or Lake Constance.

Dies ist nicht nur ein Wortspiel. Der Satz weist darauf hin, dass jeder Mensch und jedes Wesen, jeder Gegenstand auf der Erde wichtig ist, geachtet und anerkannt werden sollte. Ohne Rücksicht auf Aussehen, Religion, Volkszugehörigkeit, Reichtum. Die Erde selbst ist klein und so wichtig für uns kleine Menschen.
This is not just a play on words. The phrase indicates that every person and every creature, every object on Earth is important, should be respected and recognized. Regardless of appearance, religion, ethnicity, wealth, riches. The earth itself is small and so important for us little people.

Die beiden Gemälde sind eine Erinnerung an eine Zugfahrt nach Krakau. Der erste polnische Grenzort-Bahnhof war Weglenice. Das Gebäude stammte noch aus dem 19. Jh. Eine andere Station unterwegs hieß Kedz Kozle, ordentlich aufgeräumt.
The two paintings are a reminder of a train ride to Krakow. The first Polish border town station was Weglenice. The building dates from the 19th century. Another station was Kedz Kozle, properly tidy.

It's a hook-and-loop tape which I sewed on to the canvas. I made some T-Shirts where this tape is sewed on too. So, when ever he likes to, he can take these tiny frogs out for a walk on his Shirt and make street art out of these pictures. Was a lot of fun doing them.
