What was only supposed to be a series of 3 models, spun into a total of 6. This is my 4th build in my "Moments of Melancholy" series. While all the others had some sort of direct inspiration, whether a song or a piece of artwork, this one was just off the dome.

Only uses the colors white, light bley, dark bley, black, red, dark red, and coral. Model started in August 2023, finished in May 2024, and photographed in March of 2025. The top petals use ~10 sets of the dragon wings from set 70653 Firstbourne (Part # 38765 on Bricklink).

Lego Woolworth Building, Toys R Us, Times Square, New York City

I’ve agonized over this stupid engine. And I wouldn’t be as intent on accuracy if the original MOC hadn’t been my oldest build.

I’ve attempted as much detail as I can without compromising structure or coming across too garish. This compromise meant abandoning loose coal to hide the techniques and shifting the ’tanks’ all over the body to accommodate wiring and an attempt at representing internal running gear.

The sanding gear, bunker steps, cab detail, and brakes were all labors of love to incorporate and I finally feel rest in my soul that this 1400 can no longer be called an inaccurate Jinty or green Thomas. Pieces have ALL arrived finally from blubrix and bricklink so I can now start on my ‘big’ new project. Happy to shelve this tank.

I am proud to present my new Lord of The Rings inspired vignette depicting a ringwraith atop a cliffside overlooking the night sky. This build was inspired by various scenes from the first of the three Lord of The Rings movies, The Fellowship of The Ring, as well as the landscape that I imagined while reading the book. Most of the cliff is held together with combinations of ball joints, and the model stands sturdy on a wide base. I posted this project now with hopes that it will reach 10,000 supporters by 2026, which will mark the 25th anniversary of The Fellowship of the Ring movie.

NELTHYRIS WYVANDREL, THE SNOWPIERCER.

(Winter Wipeout, Pt. 1)

This is my first entry into the Winter Wipeout contest hosted by @haon.brx over on Instagram! The theme for this first week was "Snow Elves." My entry is a Snow Elf Beast Master Ranger / Scout Rogue multiclass, with a fey spirit companion that takes the form of a wintry hound. She's known as the Snowpiercer, and is renowned for her navigation and survival skills in the tundra and taiga, as well as her fleetness of foot.

I decided to write a bit of a story in a poem format that could easily work as a minstrel's song you might hear at a tavern. You'll be able to unveil the story a chapter at a time each week when a new character is unveiled, and see how they come into play with one another. I hope you'll look forward to this bit of whimsy as winter and the holiday season settle in!

"When came the time to answer the call,

To sail the channel for Ice Reach,

Five adventurers, companions, and all

Joined hands and sailed for the seas yet unbreached.

The first of these born to a cradle of snow,

And rocked to slumber by the falling of sleet.

That winter's touch left her an ivory halo,

And bestowed upon her a step most discrete.

The guide in the tundra, the elf with the hound,

Her strides unburdened somehow by the ice.

The winter winds whistled, and stung with their sound,

But her hearing was attuned, some immune, cold device.

Carving their path through the ruin of frost,

To find what most said was a fable absurd,

She'd brought to the Ice King, to the regent long lost

A party bound to quell the evil that stirred."

Welcome to my new big MOC of 2019: "Berlin Friedrichsberg-Kreuzhain - Studio 19"

I built 2 square meters of LEGO City - a fictional place in my hometown of Berlin including a movie studio.

It took some months of work - November'18 till March'19 to be ready for its first exhibition.

MARVEL X D&D: THE BARBARIAN

This is the second post of a series that explores what a number of fantastical Marvel characters would be if they were one of the 13 different classes of Dungeons and Dragons (5e). The second of these classes is the Barbarian.

Drax (Path of the Berserker)

Barbarians are known for their ability to channel their sheer rage into power and durability. If there's a Marvel character whose unceasing anger and quest for vengeance fans the flames of ferocity, its Drax the Destroyer.

This is one of my entry to the Bricklink Designer Program Series 6. I appreciate all votes and comments:

I love the dark creatures of fantasy movies and therefore I decided to design a black dragon to Bricklink Designer Program series 6. It is not actually based on an existing character, I was inspired by some cool AI generated pictures and some cool dragon head builds, but I built something brand new. I wanted to create a movable animal instead of a static statue and added a small tower and two wizards to the set for more playability options.

The Toronto club put up a very creative layout with elevation changes, bridges, and a good track plan.

MARVEL X D&D: THE ROGUE

This is the tenth post of a series that explores what a number of fantastical Marvel characters would be if they were one of the 13 different classes of Dungeons and Dragons (5e). The tenth of these classes is the Rogue.

Black Widow (Assassin Archetype)

Rogues are classically thought of as the character that's excellent at infiltration, stealth, and assassinations--especially the assassin archetype. Black Widow absolutely fits this class, right down to the tragically dark backstory. An expert in hand-to-hand combat, using disguises, and general spy tactics, Black Widow embodies the rogue through and through.

I've dreamed of building the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse ever since I first saw the movie as a kid.

Now, in Lego, I have!

Here it is: the most iconic treehouse of all time!

Support this project and you can have your very own Falconhurst Treehouse.

ideas.lego.com/projects/e299db50-89bc-41e5-a69d-1f51520093e4

Designing this set was an awesome challenge. My first attempt completely fell apart. Three months later, after redesigning everything, I was done with a solid model. You might think that this set will break apart, but the building techniques used, invisible in the finished model, make it extremely strong, even to the end of every branch. Technic pieces connect the green base to the inside of the tree and into the floor of the main treehouse. From top to bottom this set is solid. There has never been a Lego set anything like this so support it and make it a reality!

The treehouse has lots of great functions. The stairs fold up, just like in the movie. There is a trap door you can open and close in the floor of the main treehouse; the roof of each treehouse comes off easily so you can play inside each hut; the right treehouse opens in the front so you can set things up without taking off the roof. And there are lots of great details, like the bunk bed, ships steering wheel, shelves with books and trinkets, a small organ and so much more.

It comes with six minifigures, two dogs, and two monkeys. The minifigures are Mr and Mrs Robinson, Fritz, Ernst, Roberta or "Bertie" and Francis.

It consists of about 2,730 pieces and most are really small, but with the use of parts that currently don't come in the colors needed for the treehouse (mostly reddish brown and dark brown) this count could easily be reduced. It is an impressive set that fits nicely on the corner of my desk.

Thanks Bruce for the help with the photos.

This tree is super solid. Can you guess how I built it this way? My first attempt took about three weeks and then totally fell apart. Three months later I had a solid build. I made two different sizes. One super big and the other large. The smaller one is up on Lego ideas so please go VOTE for it there. LUTHERIA SALVERYN, THE RIMEHERALD.

(Winter Wipeout, Pt. 4)

This is my fourth entry into the Winter Wipeout contest hosted by @haon.brx over on Instagram! The theme for this fourth week was "Snow Mages." My entry is an Aasimar Evocation Wizard who specializes in spells that deal cold damage. She wields the powerful and mysterious Staff of the Snow Globe, said to be filled with magic from another realm, far in the future. Lutheria is an incredibly accomplished mage and alchemist known as the "Rimeherald," being incredibly capable of condensing the air and moisture around her into frost, and employing it to devastating effects. It's said that often when she leaves a room, a small trail of snowflakes flutter in the air behind the sweeping train of her robes. At her side is her trusty familiar, Frostbeak, the snowy owl, and "Zero," her ice elemental myrmidon, bound to a magical suit of armor.

As mentioned in the first post, there's a bit of story and lore wrapped in the form of some poetry/lyrics, so read on if you're curious!

"It's said if you listen to the winter winds howl,

You'll hear the spirits of those from the past

If through those winds you see soaring, a white owl

The spirits may answer to the spell that is cast.

Magic at the will of the snow mage most true—

The Rimeherald, a legend, a myth amongst folk—

Which beckons lost souls like a warm igloo

In the blizzard unceasing, her staff does evoke.

This famed one lent power when malice was roused

And the people relinquished all hope for salvation

When time came to locate the quarry, she dowsed

Her trail of snow pointed toward liberation.

Armed with her ice elemental myrmidon

Who bent to her will and protected her life

She pressed on til the darkness yielded to the dawn

And freed the Altairians from starvation and strife."

WAKING THE DEAD.

This is my second entry to the #halloweenhabitats25 and #letsbuildhalloween2 challenges! Continuing the theme of the first one, we have another undead enemy from the world of Dungeons and Dragons(shocker, right?). I continued to try and tackle the whole "building the sky" style here again, though with dark and eery night atmosphere, with a fog settled into the trees. Another part I was happy with the result of was actually blending the tree into the background, so the "walls" actually contain part of the trunk! You can see this in the last photo. As always, if you're looking for the lore, read on!

A Paladin is a type of warrior that swears their very being to the dedication of a certain Oath and set of virtues. Among these are Devotion, Glory, Conquest, Vengeance, Redemption, and even more. These warriors are empowered by their sacred vow, and wield tremendous holy might, healing and strengthening their allies, and smiting down their foes. However, if a Paladin forsakes its sacred Oath and walks down a darker path, there is a chance they end up becoming a Death Knight. Death Knights are undead warriors whose appearance resembles corrupted versions of who they were in life. They often command armies of undead, and utilize them for their nefarious ambitions. A powerful Death Knight could be found rousing the dead from their slumber, if their forces needed replenishing. As such, a graveyard on a dark and sinister night is the perfect place to witness such a terrifying foe.

SYTHIL, THE LIZARDFOLK RANGER.

This is my first character for the Greymane's Haven Adventuring Guild ongoing challenge hosted over on @greymane_guild on Instagram! As these characters come together, you may start to notice a theme...

Sythil is a scaled, reptilian humanoid known as a Lizardfolk, and is a Ranger of the Hunter archetype. Armed with as potent a nose for tracking his prey as his arrows are sharp, this tall, lean, and menacing individual exceeds at finding his quarry, no matter their type, origin, or capabilities. Though his skills are second to none, his tendency to leave shavings behind when he carves weapons and trinkets from the bones of his former enemies makes his presence... somewhat unwelcome in most cities. At least at the inns.

My LEGO take on the Mil Mi-12, the world’s biggest helicopter. The five-bladed rotors and struts were especially tricky to recreate, but I loved the challenge.

In the glittering dark of the galaxy there spins a worthless remote planet. Its inhospitable craggy surface only matched by the poison in its air. Above, orbits a silent corporate branded haven. The Vitruvius Space Station.

Inside, a lone technician stares in horror at the bank of security screens. A facade of life lurks in a distant hallway, silently waiting. Unnervingly still, it calculates its next opening to strike.

Long had the Weyland-Yutani Corporation tried and failed to manipulate the bio engineering practices of the xenomorph species. Long had they known failure.

However, another idea of malicious obsession arose. The company already had a sizable investment in synthetic androids to maintain authority on stations, ships, and colonies. Perhaps if the creatures’ behavior is what led to such prior loss of containment, a ground up rebuild would be necessary.

Building the prototype was relatively simple. The organic brain scanned and copied. The duplicate manufactured and tweaked to respond to company programming. Nurture would supplant nature.

What they had not known, is that in the digital sequencing, the strange Chemical A0-3959X.91 would be included within the synthetic genome. What they had not noticed, was the slow and methodical corruption of their next ‘perfect’ experiment.

The black goo had transcended organics. A self evolving and degenerating sentience within the machine. A virus. The reversion back to mimicry of its base animal instincts took little time. For the science crew, loss of control was all the quicker.

Out of the maddening quiet comes a shrieking din. A proximity alarm. A new ship prepares its docking harness. The cybernetic creature stirs for the first time in what feels like an eternity. Its mechanical frame shudders as it begins the hunt for its next kill.

PUTKIN PRESENTS: WEBWEAVER.

"I'm gonna be honest with y'all: this one grosses me out a little bit. I'm not a HUGE fan of spiders, but this is a bit nasty for other reasons. Firstly, it's sticky. REALLY sticky. I mean, you-cannot-have-this-staff-removed-against-your-will-sticky. It's a tactile nightmare. And if you've got a thing about certain touches and textures... Yeah, this isn't for you. It does allow you to do some pretty cool stuff with it, though! I've seen a demo of this here staff, from an old colleague of mine. One far more acrobatic than I am, so don't expect me to recreate any of her tricks or anything. She was able to use this thing to climb up walls, across ceilings, and even across water! I also saw her web objects over to her from across the room. And of course, you can also cast Web from it. A magic item's gotta do what it says on the box, right?

"Webweaver here comes from a cult of Ettercaps that had deified one of their own. They'd made him this staff as a symbol of power, and he used it to protect their clan and expand their reach. I guess he wasn't really a deity in the end, though, because he ended up as a dragon's snack when they expanded a bit too far. Which put this here staff into its hoard! Enter the Rifteil Raiders. I honestly don't know how many of us have slain dragons, but it sure seems like I happen to know a lot of those that have. While I'd like to say I, personally, have slain a dragon, my granny always said lying to gloat is no better than sitting down with a bowl of nothing for dessert... Or something like that. She had a lot of strange sayings, come to think of it.

"My hand feels really disgusting now, so I'm gonna put this back! Catch you next time!"

FATHER GOTMAS AND THE REALM OF WISHES.

(Holiday Habitats 2025, Pt. 3)

Back at it with the #letsbuildholidayhabitats25 challenge hosted by @habitatchallenge and @letsbuildseries over on Instagram! The story this time around is about a trio of prominent figures that are involved in the mythos of Gotmas—the Dwarven holiday that revolves around gifts, revelry, and festive cheer. The third of these characters is Father Gotmas himself!

St. Nikolaj Frostbeard, also known as Father Gotmas, is a Dwarf Cleric who utilizes his powerful magical abilities to bring cheer and merriment to others, especially around Gotmas time. It is said that Father Gotmas is able to access the Realm of Wishes, a separate dimension where all wishes in the universe come to fruition. From this realm, Nikolaj tracks down gifts and treats for people who need a little Gotmas cheer. When he became lost in the Realm of Wishes after an ambush while going through a portal, he was joined by his two newfound friends, Vixenia and Merry, who helped guide him back to his workshop. With his two companions at his side, nothing was going to stand in his way of saving Gotmas.

This is my second custom LEGO modular building which I call "City Post & Library." I built it to look somewhat like an older post office building, but since it has two floors I put a library in the top level. This time around I managed to finish and furnish the interior and an pleased with the results.

Due to popular request I have created and sell PDF instructions for this model. They are available in my BrickLink store "A *Deal* 4 U" at www.adeal4u.net.

CHRISTMAS TREANT, THE FESTIVE FIR FELLOW.

Happy #monstermonday and Happy Holidays! This is my entry into the #HolidayMonsterSmash challenge being hosted by @bricksanFELLOW. over on Instagram, and is a build I've been excited to make for quite a while! The Christmas Treant is a creature that would fit perfectly in a holiday-themed D&D one-shot, and opens up a lot of fun possibilities for story. How long has the treant been festive? Who decorates the treant? Is the decor itchy? How do they get the topper on? While in my world, the holiday isn't called Christmas, there is, in fact, a festive treant whose story inspired the tradition of decorating trees for those that celebrate. For a fun little bit of lore regarding it, read on! Swipe through to the end to see the Treant both alternatively decorated in ornaments and undecorated!

Ages ago, when the Dwarven holiday of Gotmas was still in its infancy, there existed a quaint little village nestled into the Lower Gottim Mountain Range. The village was known for being one of the few Dwarven settlements that saw snow fall in the winter. The village had befriended an ancient creature known as a Treant—a living, walking, thinking tree—and had many years of friendship with the being. They would often trade gifts, and occasionally play light-hearted pranks on each other. One fateful Gotmas Eve, however, a group of young Dwarves in the village noted that the Treant never had any holidays to celebrate, and planned to rectify it with a practical joke of their own.

That night, while the Treant was rooted and fast asleep, the Dwarves snuck out with a coil of colorful magelights affixed to a white, silvery rope—the same kind of garlands they decorated their homes with. They crept into the grove where the Treant slept and set themselves to work. Vibrant twinkles of blue, red, yellow, and green now lit up the ancient being, topped off with a golden star ornament. When the Dwarves were done decorating, they woke up the Treant, grins plastered across their faces. When the Treant awoke, however, he did not revel in their amusement, for he thought the young Dwarves had set him on fire. The Treant found a newfound pep in his step and chased the Dwarves through the woods, their laughter quickly turning to panic.

When the Treant had finally reached the village, and the Dwarvish youths had run out of breath, he stopped, and looked around. People had started to come out of their houses at the commotion of the Treant's thunderous footsteps, and beheld the sight. As the Treant surveyed the Dwarves he had called friends, and they surveyed him, they began to ooh and ah. The crowd that had gathered started to remark on how lovely the Treant looked in the magelights, and how fitting the gold star atop the canopy was. The Treant slowly began to see that the decorations that covered his leafy branches matched those that the Dwarves had strung up on their roof eaves.

"Merry Gotmas, Mr. Treant!" cried the young Dwarves, who had finally caught their breath. The crowd began to chime in, echoing their sentiment, and wishing good tidings to the ancient plant. The Treant started to laugh, as the Dwarves gathered around him and sung their Gotmas songs, dancing and playing in the colorfully lit night. Since that fateful Gotmas Eve, the tradition of decorating trees in ornaments and magelights began to spread to all who celebrated Gotmas. It's said that each year, the youths of that village still go up into the woods to decorate the Treant, and bring him gifts. To Dwarves all around the world who celebrate the age-old tradition of Gotmas, there's no question about it: it's truly the most wonderful time of the year.

This as a try out to put on one of the new buildings I am creating. On purpose I cut out the top part as I do not want to give away what the function of the building will be.

Halo: Silent Bricktographer

This moc represents Aztec temple of Jaguar treasure in south America which Johnny Thunder, Dr. Kilroy and Pippin Reed just discovered in search for the Jaguar Sundisc. For the build I used several building techniques, my favourite being that tree by Dan the Fan . The build was my own idea although I took inspiration for jaguar heads from Mark of Falworth. This was built a few months ago as a part of lego Ideas contest. Still, I hope you like it!
