Last round of RogueOlympics 2022 the topic is "Time", the limit is 101 bricks.

I can spend a lot of time here

In this creation I decided to create the edge of the world. On the left, it's stil our world, however, on the right there is the dark side.

This is my entry for Summer Joust 2023, "Light and shadow" category.

As promised, here is the tutorial for my littler R0-XI Droid. I'd love to see your versions of it, so feel free to tag me in your post, if you use the design.

Zal Castra was a born into a Mandalorian clan and raised as a warrior, as per tradition. At age 16 she had fought as a mercenary in several battles already by the side of her clan. Displaying extraordinary proficiency with her beskade, it seemed like she would one day become the leader of her clan. However, when on a mission for a mining guild, which had decided to solve a feud over mini rights by means of violence, Zal disobeyed the contract and orders given by her employer. She spared the rivaling company’s workers and only killed the security guards, even though the contract stated to wipe out any opposition, including civilians. While this was certainly the right choice from her point of view, her actions were seen as treason and cowardice by her clan and she was subsequently banished, fated to spend the rest of her life as an outcast. Reluctant to accept this decision however, Zal went on to seek out other outcast and over time built a new clan, Clan Jiyu, which held up a higher moral code than other clans and within hundreds of outcasts gathered eventually.

My personal favorite from my recent fig-off. Writing about Mandalorians is fun.

The car from my recent MOC 'Great Depression & Prohibition 1929' because I was asked to show it.

I had no specific model of a truck in my mind and just started to build. After all I named it 'Ol Lorry'.

Quick update on the previous build, except militarized. Hope you guys like it!

Just a small build for the online RPG 'Nine Kingdoms' on the German LUG www.RogueBricks.de

Our tour through the foundry was promptly interrupted by an incoming distress call from one of the other squads. Apparently, they had encountered an enemy bounty hunter called Durge in the tunnels and not been heard from after. I didn’t know the name at all, but the audible gasps from every other trooper in the channel clearly indicated that Durge’s appearance was bad news. We were to search for the missing squad and Koi filled me in on the Legion’s history with this, as he called him, monster. A practically immortal killing machine with a grudge against Mandalorian’s didn’t sound like fun at all, but I didn’t give the description too much credit at first. Boy, was I wrong.

We reached the squad’s last known coordinates and entered the network of sewers beneath the city. The fact that Koi had added an actual blaster to his kit on the way made me a bit more worried for what lay ahead. We slowly tip-toed through the tunnels, listening for any noise that was not coming from our comlinks. The foul stench of raw sewage was not stopped by my helmet’s filters and made me nauseous. „Keep your eyes and ears open, we don’t want anything to jump at us.“ I told Koi as we pressed against the tunnels wall, which was lined with pipes of all sizes. Koi’s lack of an answer was more than indicating his tension and slowly I began to actually worry. Could Durge really be that vicious? As if to prove a point, the stench in my nose mixed with a new smell, one I knew all to well from countless battlefields: blood and guts ripped apart. No soldier ever forgot that smell, not ever. Afraid of what I would find, I looked over to the water. „By the Force…“ I knew Koi had the same dire look of fear on his face, even with his helmet on. Floating above the water, tainted dark red by spilled blood, were pieces of white armor. And it was then, that we heard something. A bloodcurdling voice was coming form above us, saying nothing but:

„I have you now.“

A super hurried entry for the conclusion of mission 17 of the 253rd Elite Legion. I am more busy than ever with university these day, but after assembling this Durge fig, I just couldn’t resist throwing this together in a few hours. I hope you enjoy it, as I stick my nose back into my books.

Location: Naboo

-

New Republic & Naboo defense force troops have been pushed all the way back to Theed. The siege of the city has begun. They need to get a distress call out but Oblivion is blocking all communications in the system.

-

Arkanis forces smash through the outskirts of Theed and quickly over run the New Republics small defense force on world. The ship attempting to evacuate the Queen was ambushed and destroyed by Ties. Naboo had fallen.

My build from the Downfall Arkanis Campaign displayed at BFVA 2025.

This sequence has always stood out to me as one of the most memorable in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, largely due to how the entire church structure is used as an active stage for the swordfight — from the sanctuary interior to the rafters, bell tower, and ultimately transitioning into the jungle and mill sequence. It’s a dynamic, layered setting that blends architecture, choreography, and environment, making it a perfect subject to capture in LEGO.

My design process began by studying the scale and layout of the church. After several rewatches of the scene, I was able to determine the number of distinct levels inside the structure and focused first on modeling the more prominent bell tower. From there, I mapped out the path of the action — starting from the sanctuary, moving across wooden beams and through the deteriorating roof, and culminating in the runaway water mill barreling into the jungle.

The church itself is a decayed Spanish colonial building, marked by crumbling stonework, collapsed archways, and remnants of once-detailed masonry. I wanted to maintain its recognizable silhouette while embracing the chaos of its ruined state. Starting from the interior action layout helped me define the core proportions and then branch outward, layering in debris, broken tiles, and ornamental details now eroded by time and the jungle’s return.

When revisiting the build later, I incorporated newer foliage elements, including updated fern pieces and custom-built palm trees. These additions helped enrich the setting, emphasizing the lush, tropical jungle pressing in beyond the church’s ruined stone fences — creating a strong visual contrast between the structured decay of the church and the wild vitality of the surrounding environment.

While tales and myths about the Rebel Alliance often focus on the heroic deeds of single high profile members like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker or Leia Organa, many others fought for their noble cause, too. Throughout the galactic civil war, countless individuals from all walks of life joined the fight after experiencing the Empires brutality. among them were pilots and smugglers who didn’t want to be taxed and used by the Empire as well as former soldiers and officers, who had lost their job when local governments were overthrown by the imperial Moffs. Together, they formed the bulk of the rebel forces, encountering the Empire in numerous battles all over the galaxy.

This is as much a fig barf as it is a design study. I tried my best to capture the look and feel of the Battlefront (2015) characters and in game menu design. Now, I absolutely need to feature these figures in a proper build.

What to do on a sunny day at the sea? Go surfing!

Small MOC for the year challenge on www.RogueBricks.de

The MOC shows a little surfing scene, where I wanted to try out waves in the water. And I am a little bit in love with the flowers. It's giving a little paradise touch to the landscape.

"Who dares to intrude our sanctuary?"

A few Night Sister mini figures for a fig-off against @legoSWPro. You'll be seeing these again soon. :)

Yet another one for Iron Forge Round 2 (seed part: Tap)

Wow, all this building is intense, this time, a smaller build in total to have the evening off

Here's a little build I had designed a few months ago, but just didn't have enough of the metallic gold dishes to finish it properly until a recent bricklink order. Quite happy with how this turned out, I like how everything looks other than the thickness of the solar panel parts, but that couldn't have been avoided. Also this was kind of a test for me editing out the background of a build, and I think it turned out pretty well for it being one of my first few tries. Anyway, hope you all enjoy this!

Been sitting on my desk since January of '19, finished it w the time I've had during quarantine.

House Bloodborn takes part in the Grand Tournament of Peace in Sognéterno

(Retrospective: During the Grand Tournament of Peace, Jayce Clawthorne had the opportunity to face several champions in the qualifying rounds. Among them were the formidable representatives of Houses Whitetalon and Bloodborn)

Another build this summer :) Originally it was supposed to be a Jedha City-like MOC but the amount of space upstairs turned out to be too small to build a bigger house/building there and I wanted the build to stay the same size, mainly because I started to run out of dark orange pieces.

Still I’m quite happy with the result. I wanted to use the speeder bike which I built some time ago in one of my MOCs and I think this was a good moment to do so.

The antenna is inspired by @oblivion_builder’s one.

Hope you enjoy :)

The last two crew members came sprinting down the hallway towards the escape pods. Good, everything was going according to plan. „Shut the door, T3.“ The droid turned around with a beeping noise and sealed the hatch. Now she just had to wait. The republic frigate she was on had been followed by an unidentified vessel since they had left Telos. She was absolutely sure it had to be a Sith killer commando, judging by the precision of the tracking and the carefully kept distance just out of scanner range. Of course, no scanner could beat the Force and she had sensed the imminent danger since their takeoff. Now the Sith had finally decided to show themselves and attack. Right now, they were entering the frigate, thinking that it had taken severe damage in battle. She knew they were coming for her and the younglings they had taken on board earlier on their voyage. She knew she could not hide from them and a fight was inevitable. This was not a last stand, however, this was a trap. As soon as the crew left the ship in the escape pods and the Sith were occupied with fighting her, another republic ship would emerge from hyperspace, take the crew on board and bring not only soldiers from the republic garrison as reinforcements, but also a dozen of Jedi to stop the Sith dead in their tracks. Right then, she heard the buzzing sound of an igniting lightsaber. It was time to fight!

I always loved the Knights of the old Republic games a lot and I’d consider them one of the reasons, why I stuck with Star Wars for so long. The design of the games heavily influenced my builds over the years, especially my Uncertain Ways series. With this build, I tried to emulate this style even more, paying homage to one of my favorite levels, the republic frigate Harbinger in KotoR2, in particular. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Here are some pictures of my LEGO Star Wars Lotho Minor MOC built for the RebelLUG MAUL-Son Of Dathomir Collaboration. For a much better look at the entire build go and check out my latest YouTube video ;)

School is an eldritch horror. With three limbs.

This had to be it. She could sense it. Since she had left her master at the entrance hall, something hab been calling her. Like a damp humming in her ears, a bitter taste on her tongue, an itch in her fingers. She had followed this strange feeling and as she passed hallway after hallway, grave after grave, prison cell after prison cell, it had been getting stronger. Now, it was almost overwhelming. She stood in a long hall and ahead lay a glowing red portal. This had to be the heart of the temple and she knew what lay ahead. The holocron had to be in there and her trial was about to begin. She approached the portal. It was filled with an almost opaque red mist, which was moving and felt almost alive. It pulsated as she came closer and she could hear a strange whispering in her ears. Slowly, but determined, she stepped into it and the world vanished from her sight.

Mission 16.2: Destruction of Vandos Prime

[Mission Log 1602; Sergeant Sakana]

The fight on the landing platform had been a real carnage. Only one of the troopers, I had initially landed with, got on the LAAT with me, which brought us to the surface and dropped us right into battle. War never sleeps and so do we. „You, with me!“ I shouted at him, as we approached the drop off. Whoever was skilled enough to survive what we had just experienced, was more than worthy to fight with in the next battle. When the doors revealed the breathtaking view of a vast glacial plateau, there was not time to waste. The CIS droids and Vandosian soldiers had put up barricades in the frozen desert, each positioned closely to highly explosive crystal formations. They seemed to know we wouldn’t risk to set off a chain reaction and used this knowledge to their advantage. I jumped the last few meters to the ground and started sprinting towards the enemy. The first shots of my DC 17 rained down on a Cold Assault Battledroid. Next thing I knew, it burst into a bright orange explosion. Had I switched to grenade launcher mode by accident? „You can thank me later, Sir!“, I heard, as the trooper from the landing platform dashed forward. He had picked up a rocket launcher form one of our dead comrades. Together we worked our way to a little natural trench, just at the edge of the CIS armory. „The good news, we have reached our main target. The bad news, I am all out of rockets.“, the trooper chimed. He was oddly happy under fire. I checked my stash of DC magazines. „I’m out, too. Not good.“ We crouched down and pressed against the edge of the trench. I could hear droids approaching our position. „What`s your name, trooper?“, I asked. „Koi, Sir!“ „Alright, Koi, I’m going to open a path for you and you grab as much ammo as you can get from those crates over there.“ He nodded. I picked an EMP grenade from my belt. „On my mark. Three, two, one…“

My second entry for the 253rd Elite Legion. This was a rather quick build, but it turned out to be rather nice, I think. I also used some custom stickers on the droid for once. Stay tuned for more 253rd action coming soon (hopefully).

Mission 16.1: Destruction of Vandos Prime

[Mission Log 1601; Sergeant Sakana]

„Distance to target 3000, stand by for booster ignition in 3… 2… 1…“ Shab, I hate jetpacks! „Ignition!“ The sudden blast of the boosters halted me mid aid and it felt like being slammed into a wall face first. We had calculated the landing strategy as close to the station's surface as possible to not arouse any suspicion. I dropped the last few meters to the floor, followed by five troopers close behind me. Those 253rd boys seemed to be used to that kind of entrance. Ice cold wind was blazing against my visor as I peered over the edge of the orbital station’s top. There had to be a ladder down somewhere. The platform was a mesh of wires, antennas and array dishes. Slowly the whole squad moved forward. „Watch your steps, there could be…“ Suddenly, there was sharp, high pitched buzzing sound, followed by a scream. Turning around, I saw a trooper, splattered with blood, with what looked like a metal insect on the remains of his chest. Buzz droids! Laying down fire, I stumbled backwards and drew my sword to fight any of these pests near by. The rest of the squad ignited their jetpacks again and started picking the droids off from the air, as more and more of them came climbing up the edge of the platform. We had to get down to the control room, fast, or this would become a chainsaw massacre.

My first build for the 253rd Elite Legion and quite a challenge already. The platform probably got a bit crowded after all, but I think the action comes across well. I hope you like it!

Rogue Olympics Round 7 - Time

Really cool theme this time...only problem was the parts limit...this time I had to get down from 138 parts to 101... The 136 parts design had sand in it, but I had to sacrifice that aspect.

"There he is!"

A little detail shot of my recent Podracer Diorama.

Among the many members of the Rebellion even were some former elite soldiers and mercenaries. Some of the came from the military of their respective home world, which had fallen to the empire, others were former members of Rahm Kota's militia, which fought in the Clone Wars. Together they formed the elite squadron of the Rebel Alliance, tasked with attacks on high value imperial targets or against all odds rescue missions.

Made these for a fig-off against The Bricktor. They are mostly inspired by Rahm Kota's militia seen in The Force Unleashed.

RogueOlympics 2023 Round 6: Wild - we may use not more than 101 bricks

Based on East coast brownstones.

Mihalys experimental Sukhoi Su-30 from the game Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

Slightly modified version of my older model, now comes with a display stand.

My fifth build for the final round of the Iron Forge 2025! Of course I was gonna try and cram in another immersive little scene! This old school TV and accessories boasts 24 seed parts (flower stem):

16 as the static on the TV, 2 in the lamp, 4 as the table legs, 1 for the flower and 1 for the antennae.

Just a quick Friday evening build.

„This is Corellia Local Holo Net News. Today armed terrorists attacked a prisoners transport at Corellia central space port. The attackers claimed to be part of the Rebel Alliance and managed to momentarily free five of the prisoners. According to witnesses, they called our beloved Emperor a liar and a criminal. Other insults uttered by the terrorists will not be cited at this point, for reasons of decency. Imperial forces responded quickly to the attack and locked down the space port before the dissidents could flee. The incident caused casualties on both sides. Two of the attackers surrendered, the remaining four, as well as the prisoners, were eliminated by Imperial forces. Three Imperial operatives were injured, but could be treated on site by Imperial forces medical personnel. They are now being transferred to the Imperial Med Center. Governor Solem thanked the soldiers for their bravery. Shocked by the incident, he promised to reinforce space port security to end this ongoing series of terrorist attacks. Next week he will present a list of actions to be taken. This was Jenna Mizu for Corellia Local Holonet News.“

A little Star Wars vignette, while I finish editing the new part of Uncertain Ways. Inspired by Solo a bit. By the way, I feel like I am finally back in form for building and having a lot of fun.

These shots will give you a better view of the build. (less artistic)

This time I built the hobby room for the Little Robot Stripy. He loves to built robots, this time a monochrome one - which perfectly fits in the 101 parts Rogue Olympics challenge, round 3 with the theme "Einfarbig | Monochrome"

For the whole MOC I only used 101 parts. But of course again all over the LEGO teams. Can you spot a Galidor and the Large Figure or all the DUPLO parts?

Another one for Brickscalibur 2022 (Trading Places category) and because i used several swords, it's also good for first round of Iron Forge!

Ever wondered where the new falconer figure got her wonderful falcon? At Mr. Mundigasts secret shop for magic animals of course. But in Caliburia, any trade with magic beasts is forbidden, so Mr. Mundigast set up shop in a damp cellar and only a selected few know where to find it.

My mini scale version of the iconic ARC-170 starfighter, as used in my recent build for the #wirecutcollab. Would you be interested in a tutorial for these?

This year I am building parts of Ankh-Morpork from the Terry Pratchett books, here is the first Teaser, and I had some lever pieces for Iron Forge^^

Mr. Copperbottom and the shopkeeper of the magic menagerie spent the whole day trying to get the snake, which Adrain has introduced to them as Herbert, back into the building, let alone its terrarium. To Mr. Copperbottom’s surprise, Mrs. Honeycutt had not scolded her children, but smilingly told him she had seen worse. She had decided though, that one pet was enough for the two of them and that, to avoid any reptile incidents at Hogwarts, an owl would suffice. Until their departure to Hogwarts, Mr. Copperbottom had to visit the Honeycutts another two times, once freeing the house of suddenly sprouting fungus and another time to act as a magical fire man, since the twins somehow had gotten hold of their wands and chaos had ensued. In the end, Mr. Honeycutt decided to take the siblings’ wands with him to work, to keep them well out of their range for the time being. Then finally, the promised day of attending Hogwarts finally came. Mrs. Honeycutt had done her best to get the twins to sleep that night, but at 5 am, nothing could keep them still anymore. They roamed through the house, double and tripple checking their luggage and looking at the time every few seconds, which seemingly refused to go by at a reasonably fast pace. Finally the ringing of the doorbell released the twins from the agony of waiting and together with Mr. Copperbottom, they made their way to King’s Cross station in London. Finally arriving at the station, Mr. Copperbottom led them through the crowd and here and there the twins managed to spot some hints of other wizarding people trying to blend in. Faintly the screams of owls could be heard and every here and there a few people with a rather peculiar mix of clothes could be seen. Finally they arrived at the wall that separated the platforms 9 and 10. „Here we are, go ahead.“ Mr. Copperbottom said, pointing at the wall. Mrs. Honeycutt raised an eyebrow. Maybe she thought this was the time he had finally lost his mind and or the whole thing would turn out to be a giant hoax after all. Mr. Copperbottom noticed and started explaining. „The wall is a pathway. You simply have to walk through it, better run a bit, if you are nervous.“ Mrs. Honeycutt looked at him with an expression which unmistakably read as „I won’t let my children run into a wall!“, but it was too late. Abby and Adrian had already taken command over the luggage trolley and steered to right into the wall. Standing atop the luggage, waving at her mother, Abby vanished into the wall, followed by her brother, who hang on the steering of the trolly. A heartbeat later, nothing of the twins remained and the wall stood as sturdy as before. They had taken their first step closer to Hogwarts!

This was a build I have been working on for a little while and finally got finished. I am in no way a castle builder, but I enjoy dabbling in it from time to time.

This build was inspired by two people, the first being an artist named Tuomas Korpi. I found one of his paintings while searching for inspiration and it was fantastic. A huge help in building this. The second is

Legonardo Davidy, who's build "Serenity" was also a big inspiration.

This is a render, built between LDD and Mecabricks, then rendered in Blender.

Thoughts and constructive criticism are welcome! Thanks for looking!
