Finishing up the roof section. Need some last parts and then I can do the final touches.

It was my entry to Bricklink Designer Program Series 1. I have received many kind comments and support, but unfortunately it has not been selected, therefore I decided to make the instructions available here:

I design usually but not exclusively Speed Champions style car models, but I also love gothic cathedrals, and therefore I decided to design one. It is not actually based on a real building, but it contains many typical details: lancet arches, double lancet arch windows, a ridge turret, flying buttresses, portals with series of receding planes, rose windows etc., and there is a matching street lamp too. The roof assembly can be removed as one piece and in this case the internal details are visible: there is an altar with a cross, a candle holder, a church tabernacle, a brick built bible, there are benches, an organ, a holy water stoup etc.. The middle door on the facade and the side doors open outward, and work perfectly, the side doors on the facade open inward and they can be opened if the door handle pieces (the taps) are removed, but it is not se easy to close them in this case. It is a studless build, the unnecessary studs are hidden by tiles.

Details of the upper stories of the Penobscot Annex LEGO model.

Imperial colored version of my BARC speeder, built for our @darktimesgroup Antolus l collab displayed at @_bricktastic 2024.

The story takes place in the early days of the Empire, when Stormtroopers still used Clone Trooper armor and equipment.

The year is 2099. As space exploration thrives, venturing into the cosmos has become commonplace. Nations and even private companies now have their own exploration teams. Among these pioneers are VAREC 02 and VAREC 07, designed and produced by the Vietnam Aerospace Research and Exploration Committee (VAREC).

Repurposed from a vintage 2022 John Deere skidder, VAREC 07 is equipped with a powerful front claw, built for collecting and transporting planetary rocks and meteor samples for advanced geological research. Supporting it is VAREC 02, a specialized maintenance robot tasked with repairs and upkeep, ensuring VAREC 07 operates at peak efficiency during every mission.

It is a modular fish market sized 64x32 studs comprising seven pavilions and few bridges. The market is divided into wet goods and dry goods zone, with shops ranged from fish stalls, flower shop and grocery stores at Ground, and cafe and restaurant on the 1st Floor. Vibrant Coral and Dark Azur are adopted as colour palette of the design. Built with several types of window frames, a huge canopy provides weather proection to the people below. Enjoy shopping and eating with proper distancing!

In the foreground is the impressive trestle and valley portion of the IndyLUG section of the ILTCO layout. IndyLUG had the best Lego scenery at the 2005 NMRA. Sixty feet away in the distance and part of the same layout is the white brick Fisher Building in the MichLTC section.

MISSING CHICKENS (and the goblin that saves one)

Colwyn turned and saw the mimic lunging at him, its full, gaping maw of sharp, jagged teeth ready to devour him. He fell backward, losing the chicken from his net.

This MOC was inspired by the scene from chapter 3 season 1 of The Mandalorian TV show where Mandalorian survivors confront the bounty hunters guild to help Din Djarin escape with Baby Yoda (or The Child) from Nevarro City. It's the first time I ever tried third-party LED lights in a MOC and I think it turned out really well. I'm happy with all the details, especially the big arch/gate and the rockwork, but unfortunately I ran out of some crucial pieces and wasn't able to make the whole MOC as detailed as I wanted. However, it still looks pretty decent I think.

I've dreamed of building the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse ever since I first saw the movie as a kid.

Now, in Lego, I have!

Here it is: the most iconic treehouse of all time!

Support this project and you can have your very own Falconhurst Treehouse.

ideas.lego.com/projects/e299db50-89bc-41e5-a69d-1f51520093e4

Designing this set was an awesome challenge. My first attempt completely fell apart. Three months later, after redesigning everything, I was done with a solid model. You might think that this set will break apart, but the building techniques used, invisible in the finished model, make it extremely strong, even to the end of every branch. Technic pieces connect the green base to the inside of the tree and into the floor of the main treehouse. From top to bottom this set is solid. There has never been a Lego set anything like this so support it and make it a reality!

The treehouse has lots of great functions. The stairs fold up, just like in the movie. There is a trap door you can open and close in the floor of the main treehouse; the roof of each treehouse comes off easily so you can play inside each hut; the right treehouse opens in the front so you can set things up without taking off the roof. And there are lots of great details, like the bunk bed, ships steering wheel, shelves with books and trinkets, a small organ and so much more.

It comes with six minifigures, two dogs, and two monkeys. The minifigures are Mr and Mrs Robinson, Fritz, Ernst, Roberta or "Bertie" and Francis.

It consists of about 2,730 pieces and most are really small, but with the use of parts that currently don't come in the colors needed for the treehouse (mostly reddish brown and dark brown) this count could easily be reduced. It is an impressive set that fits nicely on the corner of my desk.

Thanks Bruce for the help with the photos.

A LEGO Culver's MOC I built.

I was inspired by @red.impala who created a small robot figure using the printed elements and the nose wing from the Collectible F1 Mini cars, and I wanted to take my own stab at using those elements as well. I opted for a larger figure that also incorporated the actual car chassis! Most would disregard that element as useless, but I say it makes a fantastic torso element!

F1-11 is the first figure I built for this series, but by distinction on both Bricklink and the Instruction sheet, she is the 11th car in the series. Therefore I am designating her as F1-11. It is also a female because F1 Academy is a Racing League for women.

Here’s some different angles of the build. A lot of you have been hoping for some closer pics of the Sith Droid so here they are! It’s inspired by Bastion from the video game Overwatch.

I think I have rebuilt this set over a hundred times. There are so many options in Lego and I tried most of them, so good, some great, some terrible. Since I took these photos I have rebuilt the head and neck. Photos coming soon.

Welcome to my new big MOC of 2019: "Berlin Friedrichsberg-Kreuzhain - Studio 19"

I built 2 square meters of LEGO City - a fictional place in my hometown of Berlin including a movie studio.

It took some months of work - November'18 till March'19 to be ready for its first exhibition.

FATHER GOTMAS AND THE REALM OF WISHES.

(Holiday Habitats 2025, Pt. 3)

Back at it with the #letsbuildholidayhabitats25 challenge hosted by @habitatchallenge and @letsbuildseries over on Instagram! The story this time around is about a trio of prominent figures that are involved in the mythos of Gotmas—the Dwarven holiday that revolves around gifts, revelry, and festive cheer. The third of these characters is Father Gotmas himself!

St. Nikolaj Frostbeard, also known as Father Gotmas, is a Dwarf Cleric who utilizes his powerful magical abilities to bring cheer and merriment to others, especially around Gotmas time. It is said that Father Gotmas is able to access the Realm of Wishes, a separate dimension where all wishes in the universe come to fruition. From this realm, Nikolaj tracks down gifts and treats for people who need a little Gotmas cheer. When he became lost in the Realm of Wishes after an ambush while going through a portal, he was joined by his two newfound friends, Vixenia and Merry, who helped guide him back to his workshop. With his two companions at his side, nothing was going to stand in his way of saving Gotmas.

A town house in 1920's style. When building this I had to make research to find out what the interior used to look like at that time.

I would assume Mr. Craig Callum's (@cforcraig) "Old Red" Ford Model A Coupe hardly needs any introduction by now, even if you don't know the real car, you may have seen it amongst Hot Wheels' new releases this summer.

Speaking of knowing, while searching for a suitable facial expression for the minifig, I eventually settled on this one and to my eternal shame, I have to confess I did not know it ACTUALLY IS the Lego representation of Mr. Craig 😮.

And one thing about the build — at one point in 2017, after the Speed Champions #75875 Ford hot rod set was released (yes, Mr. Craig had something to do with that), I've built an alternate of the hot rod using mudguards pieces — not because it needed mudguards, but because I wanted really bad to have that nice curve of the vestigial socket, where the mudguard of the stock car goes. There were no elements available to fit the mudguard under the curve of the trunk exactly where I wanted it and even the way I did it, I still had to cheat with bits of sticker to completely fill the gap. Well, now it's finally possible to do it exactly how I wanted it then, and these new curves I used here for the trunk deliver a very slender result, imo.

MARYBETH, THE KENKU BARBARIAN.

This is my second character for the Greymane's Haven Adventuring Guild ongoing challenge hosted over on @greymane_guild om Instagram! As these characters come together, you may start to notice a theme...

Marybeth is a frightening, small, yet imposing raven-like humanoid known as a Kenku, and is a Barbarian of the Path of the Berserker. She wields a number of bone daggers and shortswords handcrafted and sharpened by her best friend, Sythil, and employs them to devastating effect. Though she has an impeccable memory when her interest is piqued, her selective enthusiasm often ends up coming back to bite her when a mission isn't completed quite how the client requested it to be. Her intense gaze and movements often unnerve those not familiar with her behavior, but her allies know that her loyalty runs somehow deeper than even her ferocity.

I designed a climbing gym made with Lego bricks. It is submitted on Lego Ideas.com. If it will gather 10000 supporters, it will gain the chance to become an official Lego set.

In only two weeks, it already gathered more than 1000 supporters and keep growing. The next milestone is at 5000 and it will give more time to the project.

With your help it might become reality!

Just take a couple of minute of your time, click the link below and find out all the cool details of the build! I hope you will enjoy it and you will login and support it!

These buildings are based on certain architectural elements found in NYC. Especially the fire escape in front, a corner deli and neighborhood restaurants.

Chris Leach and I supplied most of the buildings while Tom Morse supplied almost all of the trains including the Daylight, Freedom Train, Santa Fe (standard LEGO kits), and the Polar Express.

This is how I plan to display the model. The viewer is looking at the Wall from the Bay of Ice and can see both sides, Beyond the Wall and South of the Wall.

My LEGO take on the Mil Mi-12, the world’s biggest helicopter. The five-bladed rotors and struts were especially tricky to recreate, but I loved the challenge.
