My custom Destroyer Droid with deflector shield, built for our @darktimesgroup Antolus l collab displayed at @_bricktastic 2024.

The story takes place in the early days of the Empire, and pirates take over some CIS equipment, which they are using against the Empire

I made the driod with the shield last october, after I discovered that the 8x8 dome pieces in trans blue. These are almost perfect for my droideka build, but I didn’t got to use it in any MOCs since then. The whole aesthetic of the collab, with the black round bases and raised terrain worked well to hide the connection points of the dome pieces. I also added LED lights under the shield, which gave a nice glow to the whole thing as a perfect finishing touch.

Tasked to traverse the snow capped world of Krysto by HF Mission Control, Stormer has been sent to rescue a team of trapped Brickonium miners within the crystalized tunnels below the frozen surface. He comes prepared for the cold; equipped with a chain-sledge splitting maul to cut through the ice, a spear gauntlet for any glacial climbing, as well as thermal armor and an extra energy pack to both boost power and longevity to his gear. With the assistance of the rocket research team and their prototype satellite tech to track his way, it’s a race against temperature and time to find the isolated miners and bring them back safely.

I'm back with my newest moc, the Red London Telephone Box.

The model contains 1856 pieces and features lots of interesting details. The door can be opened to reveal an authentic detailed interior, complete with an old fashioned telephone.

As well as the phone box I've also included a British pillar box and a street lamp complete with hanging flower baskets.

I think the iconic London Telephone Box would be a great subject for a LEGO IDEAS set so I've uploaded it to the LEGO IDEAS website. If you like the model I'd be really grateful if you could head over and give the model your support. 10,000 votes and it could become a real set.

Thanks very much.

After 22 months of off and on construction, the LEGO Guardian Building is complete. The model is 8 feet (2.46 meters) high to the roof.

This model will be displayed for the first time at the Henry Ford Museum starting on November 24, 2014 and ending in early January 2015.

This image shows the main Griswold street entrance with the upper windows topped by stepped arches. I found it impossible to do justice to the Pewabic tiled half dome.

Assault class drone sporting a railgun, active defense systems, dual sensor pods, and a fuel cell in the rear. Deployable arms enhance the Hammerhead's functionality, allowing it to engage in small-arms combat when needed.

This is a revamp of my old design from 2020. Quite happy with the new model with its railgun and arms. Enjoy + cheers.

I've dreamed of building the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse ever since I first saw the movie as a kid.

Now, in Lego, I have!

Here it is: the most iconic treehouse of all time!

Designing this set was an awesome challenge. My first attempt completely fell apart. Three months later, after redesigning everything, I was done with a solid model. You might think that this set will break apart, but the building techniques used, invisible in the finished model, make it extremely strong, even to the end of every branch. Technic pieces connect the green base to the inside of the tree and into the floor of the main treehouse. From top to bottom this set is solid. There has never been a Lego set anything like this so support it and make it a reality!

The treehouse has lots of great functions. The stairs fold up, just like in the movie. There is a trap door you can open and close in the floor of the main treehouse; the roof of each treehouse comes off easily so you can play inside each hut; the right treehouse opens in the front so you can set things up without taking off the roof. And there are lots of great details, like the bunk bed, ships steering wheel, shelves with books and trinkets, a small organ and so much more.

It comes with six minifigures, two dogs, and two monkeys. The minifigures are Mr and Mrs Robinson, Fritz, Ernst, Roberta or "Bertie" and Francis.

It consists of about 2,730 pieces and most are really small, but with the use of parts that currently don't come in the colors needed for the treehouse (mostly reddish brown and dark brown) this count could easily be reduced. It is an impressive set that fits nicely on the corner of my desk.

Thanks Bruce for the help with the photos.

The third LEGO skyscraper goes up in Wasabi District! At just over 3 feet tall and over 5000 pieces, this 10-storey building is the first office skyscraper in Wasabi District!

At least the parts encompassing the track are done-ish. Now it’s all detail work and touch ups. Need something for that back area but idk what….

Situated in Hoi Tan Street of Sham Shui Po, the Kwan Tai Temple is the only temple in Kowloon to house the deity of Guan Yu from the Three Kingdoms period. Behind the entrance paifang, a courtyard was created to contain a Chinese pavilion and a censer at centre. Kwan Tai Temple was originally abutting the sea. The site was soon become an inland area after several reclaimations. Right behind the temple, there is the Sham Shui Po Public Dispensary, a Grade II historical building which also worths a visit.

An ominous rumble sounded throughout the ship as the massive ion engines roared to life. Dormant for months while the exterior of the corvette was being repaired, the ship's crew were apprehensive as to whether the engines would still start.

"Coolant pumps are running a little hot, but besides that all is running smoothly!" shouted the technician over the hum of the pumps he was checking.

"Good," replied the lead engineer, "the captain wants us fully operational within a week, something about a new deployment.

With a laugh the technician muttered, "We haven't even cleaned the rust from the inside, does the captain even realize this ship is almost 3 years old."

"Oh he realizes, command just doesn't care about how the interior looks, they just care about getting ships to the front line."

This is my second build for the swfactionsrpg, and was for the Flight Decks LTC.

Medieval Watchtower build for some Dragon Knights! The tower by itself would have felt a bit empty, so I attached a small stable next to the tower.

Time for more pics! With now 3 exhibitions done I am proud that my Ankh-Morpork MOC survived so far and can be reassembled without problems every time.

The world could always use more heroes.

So this started out as just some regular building, and after I thought I was done, I decided to make it steampunk-ish. I came up with a story for it that doesn't make too much sense, but here goes:

In the distant future, after most plant life has died on Earth, and most traditional energy sources have been expended, a brilliant scientist began to use the power of steam to bring back plant life. This is the house where he conducted his first experiments; the debris from previous failed attempts still scatter the ground, and he is trying to tidy up using his steam-powered mop.

Feels a bit long, but my reference photos were all over the place. Had fun with the build! Good ‘parts to hand’ project for the time being. Unpowered, unconcerned lol

Celebrating this year’s Star Wars Day with a moc inspired by the amazing works from @brickerbuilds !!

I was lucky enough last year to meet a few members of their team at the Rhode Island Brick Convention (@brickconvention), and while there, my long time best friend @nate_payne_ got himself one of the greatest sabers of the line up: Obi-Wan’s!

Learning from the construction process was fascinating and I knew I wanted to take a ‘stab’ at it with my own custom hilt design! Taking aspects of some other favorite sabers and putting them together on one that’s themed for a Jedi Knight of the Old Republic era!

Thanks to @aaroncrumbley from Bricker for being so kind and convincing us to stay, chat, and eventually buy such a great model!

The Parisian Restaurant is so successful, a second location has now been opened. Keeping with the overall look of the street level floor, this 16 x 32 location is using a different color scheme. The Restaurant has a patio and smooth-running kitchen to prepare delicious meals.

The name says it all. These are just facades of buildings done to display at the back of any city layout. Kind of block the 'behind the table space'.

360 hours to build

82200 bricks

Built by Ashley Bognar, Micthell Kruik and Ryan McNaught

This art deco structure was probably built in the late 1920s. It contained the Colonial Department Store and at some point a Cunningham's Drug store. It is located at 25 State Street just west of Woodward Avenue. The building is currently empty.

The Colonial Department Store was mentioned in a book describing the sad state of affairs in the year 1933 during the Great Depression: "In Detroit, the Colonial Department Store agreed to accept farm produce in exchange for goods - a dress went for three barrels of Saginaw Bay herring, three pairs of shoes for a 500 pound sow, and other merchandise went for fifty crates of eggs or 180 pounds of honey." from page 452 of "Lords of Finance - The Bankers Who Broke The World" by Liaquat Ahamed.

The model was built to help fill out my LEGO city block that contains the David Stott Building. The original version of this model was only one-half the width shown in the picture above so it would fit in a 64 stud wide city block. Some people actually noticed that my model was too narrow. Now that city block is going to be 96 studs wide. The front of the first floor remains somewhat conjectural since it it currently covered by metal security screens.

More than 42 inches tall, More than 6000 pieces, this hip, modern apartment skyscraper is my second tallest and second biggest MOC, located in the heart of Wasabi District.

Includes amenities such as a rooftop swimming pool up top and Wasabi District's first Dunkin Donuts.

80 Hours to build

18600 Bricks

Built by Mitchell Kruik and Ashley Bognar

A collaborative build between myself and @lamborghiniwafflesauce

A popular car from the Eastern Block, built in the 8 stud wide Speed Champions style.

The car can fit 3 minifigures (helmet required on the back seat) and it features accurate details like all the brick built lights in the front and rear of the car.

This build started as part of a collaborative tribute to vehicles from the Eastern Block, titled “East Champions.”

The first version of this Fiat Polski was designed by Mansur and then I worked on perfecting the angles and details, and finished it thanks to recolours of the small mudguard piece.

Instructions at my Rebrickable page:

rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-145940/Gubi_Systems/east-champio...

It was my entry to Bricklink Designer Program Series 1. I have received many kind comments and support, but unfortunately it has not been selected, therefore I decided to make the instructions available here:

rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-148170/_TLG_/gothic-cathedral

I design usually but not exclusively Speed Champions style car models, but I also love gothic cathedrals, and therefore I decided to design one. It is not actually based on a real building, but it contains many typical details: lancet arches, double lancet arch windows, a ridge turret, flying buttresses, portals with series of receding planes, rose windows etc., and there is a matching street lamp too. The roof assembly can be removed as one piece and in this case the internal details are visible: there is an altar with a cross, a candle holder, a church tabernacle, a brick built bible, there are benches, an organ, a holy water stoup etc.. The middle door on the facade and the side doors open outward, and work perfectly, the side doors on the facade open inward and they can be opened if the door handle pieces (the taps) are removed, but it is not se easy to close them in this case. It is a studless build, the unnecessary studs are hidden by tiles.

Background:

About a week ago, Ron_Dayes www.flickr.com/photos/135487645@N05 and I were talking about how there are no good wheels for REALLy tiny cars. We decided to try building some tiny cars, using the hubs a the TT wheels as our full wheel. Ron made this awesome Smart that he posted a few days ago. I decided to make the Electric Renault Zoe.

The Build Stuff: This build was a struggle for me, trying to balance both simplicity and detail on something so small. There are quite a few wedged pieces on this model to make it nice and smooth (as smooth as possible for a tiny Lego MOC). The front was quite fun, trying to figure out how to connect those wedge 1x1s to the front while still allowing detail.

Conclusion, future stuff:

So yeah, a tiny car is doable! I am super impressed by the detail Ron put in his, and hopefully I can build some more of these cool little cars! And hopefully some other interesting cars coming out soon!

Thanks for looking!

BTW go check out Ron's builds, really awesome inspiration over there for any scale cars!

The world could always use more heroes.

This is a joke right? They didn't honestly think this prototype would fly right?? The rotor blades are too crowded, the servos are burned out, the counter balance is outdated, the landing gear is broken, and don't even get me started on the navigation system!! The wings are too weak AND have feathers glued onto them??! It’s leaking fuel, the crane arm is over powered, the engines are overloaded, and the cardboard box is so badly damaged I don’t even know what I ordered!!!!
