Here is my attempt to build a replica of an entire city block. It just happens to include two structures that at one time claimed the title as the tallest building in Detroit and another that was 2nd tallest. In 1909 the newly completed Ford Building (on the left) was the tallest. The Penobscot Annex (not pictured) which was completed in 1913 was just edged out as the tallest by the Dime Building. Finally, in 1928, the 47 story Penobscot Building became the tallest building in Detroit, a position it held until 1977 when superseded by the RenCen.

The Penobscot Building is my tallest LEGO skyscraper, which including the red ball on top, is 11 feet high and weighs approximately 160 pounds (all LEGO).

This city block measures 160 LEGO studs by 192 studs (4'2" x 5').

Welcome back to RBL Sports and our coverage of the fight of the night: Jitter VS Powerhouse! Check your bets people because in a total match upset, Jitter has managed to find an opening and land their signature uppercut on Powerhouse! The behemoth of a bot has not fallen to the mat yet, but it’s only a matter a time, as the front rows are viewing a spectacular system failure! The wiry winning bot successfully kept up the energy and motion around the ring all five rounds long, outlasting the titanous titanic opponent!

Deutsche Bank Place is the 3rd tallest building in Sydney and features a distinctive stepped profile in the skyline of Sydney. The atrium was designed as an integral part of the building to help expel heat from the building.

The main challenge when building this model was to use some advanced S.N.O.T. (Studs Not On Top) techniques to achieve the look of the

windows. The intricate framework at the top of the building required a lot

of patience to ensure that the correct angles and strength were achieved.

The building is also notable for being featured in LEGO’s own Sydney skyline set from their Architecture range.

The model was designed by Claire Ashworth and built by Claire Ashworth, Clayton Mellington, Luke Cini using 19,279 LEGO® pieces over 85 hours.

"Any luck?" the well-dressed man asked.

"He's here," Amasoma said. "We just need to wait for the soldiers to clear out."

The sixth chapter of I Dreamt of Rust is finally here after 18 months! You can read it here: www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/452016

I would strongly recommend you read the prologue and parts 1-5 first, if you haven't already. I've tagged some people I know used to keep up with the story, just in case you're still interested :)

Tried incorporating various types of tree builds so that it really looks like a luscious forest. Personal favorite of mine is the big pine tree!

Several floors' facades already finished, just to preview and see how the design holds up when stacked 10+ storeys high.

Also, follow @wooootles on Instagram, where I also share LEGO WIPs including this skyscraper project (and other things too, it's my personal IG account!)

My entry to day 5 of Rebellug vignweek. The prompt was upside down, so I tried a little something new. I thought doing an underwater cave could work well for the prompt and I used upside down trans plates to simulate air pockets along with while building being upside down.

Oh yeah, Juzu builds a full sized mecha! :D I started making this two days ago, and here it it :3 I think the color scheme looks pretty good here :) It could fit a fig if I'd make some little changes but I was too lazy.. :P (I will make it later)

As you can guess, it's inspired by FateHeart... :}

I also kinda' like the BIonicle/Lego combination, and I hope you like it too!

An entry for the 10th Ninjago anniversary contest at LegoIdeas- contestants should build something to put in a Ninjago museum but it got a little out of hand and now I have my very own piece of Ninjago City ^^

“One Movie, one MOC” - that was the task.

There are 8 STAR WARS Movies and each Movie a masterpiece and one-of-a-kind.

The goal of this year’s final round is to catch one movie (episode 1-7, Rogue One) with your MOC.

I decided to catch the newest movie 'Rogue One' in my entry for the last round.

I built the scenes of Jedha, Darth Vader's castle on Mustafar, the Battle at the beach of Scarif and of curse the 'Star Destroyer - ballet' - scene and set them up in a pinball machine. These machines were extremely popular in the time when the first SW movies were on the screens.

The pinball machine works (look for the video) and looks a little bit like the Death Star (OK, at least I tried to :) ).

Hope you like my final entry.

A project I finished a few weeks ago, a new version of the Audi R8. I took two or three days to complete, and I am very happy with it.

It is 12 studs long and a minifigure stands over it by about a head length. It was heavily inspired by Marius' excellent R8 from awhile back (I put a link down there).

This is one of my first IRL builds in some time, so hopefully my skill and photo composition will continue to get better.

Thanks for looking!

The biggest fixes are the cohesion of the buffer beam no longer being cobbled together by brackets, and the pistons now comfortably tucked and functional.

His Grace, His Excellency, The Duke of Ankh, Commander Sir Samuel Vimes of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, a policeman to the bone, Ambassador to his city, bloodhound politician, hero to many, a nuisance to as many (sometimes both) and very hard to kill.

The Duchess of Ankh, Lady Sybil Deidre Olgivanna Vimes (née Ramkin), wife to Sir Samuel, a big woman with a big heart and apparently the wealthiest woman in Ankh-Morpork who is a nerd for breeding swamp dragons.

Willikins, Vimes butler, even though Vimes doesn't want to have someone serving him but he doesn't mind Willikins occasional help in saving his neck. It's said Willikins has sharpened pennies sewn into the rim of his hat.

My newest addition to the Wasabi District. About 3000 pieces and the size of a typical CREATOR Expert corner building.

Irish Pub on the first floor!

The Heron tower is the tallest building in London's financial district and the third tallest in greater London.

The main challenge when it came to replicating Heron tower from LEGO® pieces was to achieve the solid glass construction of the building.

Transparent wall panels were used for the majority of the building which gave it the look of glass, but they did not offer great structural integrity.

A central brick built core was

employed to provide a strong rigid structure for the transparent outer walls to then connect into.

We had heaps of fun adding British scenes and characters around the base too.

This tower was designed and built by Luke Cini and Clayton Mellington using 22,031 LEGO® pieces of 81 hours.

I have a serious mecha building fewer.. Oh and I have been playing lots of BF3 :3 Now to the build...

MGM=Multipurpose,Ground-type,Mecha.

This is the first ground type mecha that Juzu Corp. built. It has been seen on various battles already, and it has been successful.

This was greatly inspired by one person, and I'll tag him soon... ;)

Enjoy!

My new Guardian Building model made its debut as part of the annual Michigan LEGO Train Club (MichLTC) display at the Henry Ford Museum on November 23rd, 2014. I believe that this display which contains six skyscraper models over 5 feet high is MichLTCs largest LEGO skyline EVER! The display runs from November 24th through January 4th, 2015.

Detroit building models in the layout include the following (*= I built it):

1. Guardian Building*

2. Buhl Building

3. Ford Building*

4. Greater Penobscot Building (includes 1905, 1913, and 1928 Penobscot Buildings)*

5. Savoyard Center*

6. Dime Building / Chrysler House

7. David Stott Building*

8. 25 State Street (former Cunningham Drugs / Colonial Dept. store)*

9. Union Depot train station*

10. 1001 Woodward.

There have many projects I have worked on on-and-off for the past few months, but I have finally stared a quite big project I have wanted to do for some time. It will be a challenge, and may take a few months, but I can't wait to complete it.

Thanks for looking!

btw any guesses?
