With the Basilisk starfighter, I wanted to try some weapons/loadout variants, like in a SHMUP. This is the level III, a set of mini/micro missile pods. The one in the original photos looks like it will be level 5. More upgrades to come!

When Lego snuck in this Futuron torso to one of the recent DREAMZzz sets, I knew I had to put together a full slime spaceman!

Trans-bright green minifig pieces are a little tough to source, but through BAM and a retired NINJAGO set, I got what I needed. I love how the slime headpiece covers the already slimy planet on the torso!

You can also use the limbs from the mutated Blacktron minifig to make him irradiated!

Check out my Lego Space album for more space minifigs and builds!

I have created a nimble reconnaissance space craft based on the Lego Classic Space colorscheme. The model comprises of less than 300 bricks in its current form. This third generation MOC is an asymmetrical build which incorporates a part selection stretching multiple decades. The aim was to create a relatively small set with a modern yet friendly appearance based upon epic heritage. The craft is designed for reconnaissance work but is suffienciently equipped to defend itself if deemed required. It features next level equipment to scan its surroundings. Propulsion is achieved through an anti-matter reactor coupled to a warp drive. Ufonium element 115 is stored in the double armoured fuel tank. The ship contains 2 anti-anti-matter seeking missiles and 4 miniature rocket boosters which remotely attach to medium sized asteroids posing a threat to any minifigure astronaut wandering through the voids of imagination. ;-)

My E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial entry was selected for the fan vote on LEGO Ideas!

If it wins it will be made into a real LEGO set!

I have wanted to build something with teal (aka Dark Turquoise) for a long time. This was my first run. I'd like to use coral as an accent color on a future endeavor, but that will likely have to wait until more parts are available in that color. Got the build done just in time for BrickFair Virginia this year, but not the stickering.

1993’s Blizzard Baron enters the LEGO City from Ive Planet 2002!

An OG Hoth snowspeeder, who doesn’t love that?

This set has a couple classic Ice Planet prints, cool minifig with accessories, and a decent amount of neon transparent orange elements for a little ship!

Not only is it a capable little snowspeeder, but it has a detachable communications base/portable science lab. Simple, but a good use of a few parts to bring more story elements to a small build.

I’m happy to have this guy added to my Ice Planet 2002 fleet. Did you have this set? Does it hold up as interesting to a modern audience? Anyone know why it’s also called the Ice Planet Vx122?

I’ll be looking at more retro LEGO soon, including more Space!

RogueOlympics 2024 - Round 1 - "As Sweet As Sugar"

As every year we at roguebricks.de are hosting the RogueOlympics, a contest of eight weekly rounds with a new theme each round. The hard part is that you can't use more than 101 parts each round.

Stitch from the Lilo & Stitch movie is one of my favourite charakters of all time and if you ask me, he is the pure essence of cuteness (or sweetness, if you want). I used 84 parts to build it and one is a huge LEGO Friends playmat that I used as the background.

"Through a Mirror Darkly."

After the Terran Empire conquered the Klingon Federation, Warp-Ship scientists and designers took on the Federation's workhorse ship and adapted it to "Earther" ways. With warp nacelles embedded into the wings, this ship design seemed to the Terran Empire to encompass the best of both types of designs.

I started a series back in 2018, called Flipover Series. It consist of 3 flipover rovers which have 2 different completely usable sides. The 3 rovers commemorate 6 eras of the old space themes.

This is the first one in the Classic Space / Futuron theme. It's the smallest one. It has the old lego light system.

On the Classic Space side you can access the battery. and can pack cargo on the back, and it's got lights for visibility.

On the Futuron side you have seats for 6 minifigs, 3 cannons and a small compartment for tools.

The cockpit can be rotated with a knob on the back.

Also the rover has 4 wheel steering with a knob in the back for steering. as well.

Of course on this display as in space, no one can hear you scream...

Ellen Ripley, Jones and the Power Loader (In fight with some aliens)

The ship remains one of the fastest and most agile yet developed, and the technology crammed into its tiny frame will likely not be available in the private sector for decades.

I may have mentioned that I built a lot of variations of this ship... This one is dark azure and magenta. It turned out to be a very striking color scheme, in my opinion. It started as "worth a try" and as I built, I really took a liking to it.

It was the year 1979 when LEGO launched one of the sets that became among the most iconic in the AFOL world: the 928 set.

The Classic Space theme was launched just a year earlier in 1978 and this set became a legend because it represented the most beautiful and largest spaceship in the entire fleet. It is incredible to think of the success that this set of only 338 pieces has had if we compare it to those on sale today, but in those days we were children who dreamed of having this box and our best memories are linked to it.

In '79 I was just 5 years old and I have never been able to have this box, too expensive for my parents, but I have always dreamed of it looking at it in the catalogs. Finally as an adult I looked for it and managed to buy it!

All this premise was used to introduce my new work: the Galaxy Explorer SDR-926! This year I am 10 years old as AFOL and I thought about making mocs that have a special meaning for me. The first of these was the desire to make a spaceship of some importance! SDR-926 wants to be a tribute to the 928 but with very different characteristics and numbers. Number 926 represents the birth of my daughter. The spaceship measures 85 x 75 x 21 cm and is made up of almost 4600 pieces! It took me 5 intense months to make it because it contains several features and functionalities in a single work.

Thank you for watching!

An update of the old classic One-Man Spaceship set.

With the Basilisk starfighter, I wanted to try some weapons/loadout variants, like in a SHMUP. This is the level VIII, the weapons on the ship are the same as level VI, the gun drones are retained, and a shield drone is added in front. The one in the original photos looks like it will be level 5. This is the final upgrade I've built, and the last that I had ideas for.

Display made for the french convention "Brick à Dole" 2017. The V2 with a new part "Starship Troopers" was presented to the french convention "Let\'s Go" 2018 in Schiltigheim.

This MOC is a collaborative diorama created with my friend Sweetsha & N3rik.

On this diorama we find the new theme Space Lego but also the Classic Space Lego.

It is intentionally ultra colored, it gives a side very fun :)

There are also many references to the great films of SF, pop culture and it\'s full of humor.

Obviously nothing will happen as planned, Space is going to shit. ^^

fun little classic space build

Wasn't going to make it a "Lego" space theme, but it just sort of worked out that way. Considering that all the logos used were from my original sets back in the 70's, it's fun to see how far we've come. Still a WIP, more to come.

An Anodyne Systems M364 M:Tron Turtle with Heavyweight Lifting Upgrade casually shifting around some cargo at a spaceport.

Captain Manny of the Kampilan recalls the day he narrowly escaped this monster ship.

Man, we knew right away..Fuck shit man, it came out of the sky, big glowing green, like a moving fire stick or something. We called it the Green Flame as a ship, but there supposedly something else about Six Demons. When it landed, man these six Dwende looking things came out of it, started killing shit like crazy! this city was a goner, I'm glad i had somewhere to go and fast. People called them Demons, but they were kind of short ugly robots, but who knows. These fuckers man, 'tang ina, I hope i never see this Green fucking thing again.

These guys were world takers, kind of like what we thought were klingons, but I bet they were just like guys from the south you know... YOU KNOW haha. I never knew what they wanted, maybe they just like to rape and pillage and kidnap haha. I'd rather not stick around, they're like boogey man, or maybe this is what you tell the boogey man to scare him.

Medium range cargo ship.

1997’s Robo Stalker, another Mech from the strange RoboForce sub-theme!

I’m kind of a fan of the space robot goblin in striped pants, vaguely reminds me of a Beetlejuice getup? Idk, but I dig it.

This set has some seriously unique space elements and a few familiar. This set stands strong as a part’s pack, but it has enough originality to merit its own existence in any retro space collection

Good consoles for both drivers, great transparent orange elements, and even a cool sticker over the torso windshield

This set has all the prints and printed legs for the minifigs, super deluxe for ‘97

Each pilot of the orange faction of RoboForce shares the same face (previously used in Aquanauts’ sub-theme), which is an odd choice considering how many different elaborate prints were used in these sets

The detachable head/craft is good looking, with that large Exploriens’ element for a cockpit, adjustable wings, and two storage containers

More Retro Space LEGO sets to be featured soon..
