Makes a few appearances! I am not much of a space guy but I will be picking up this set!

Possibly my favourite of the later Classic Space ground vehicles, the 6950 Mobile Rocket Transport perfectly combines the practical near-future explorer vibe of the very first generation of Space sets with the (mostly) more advanced aesthetic sensibilities of the later sets.

I just *had* to try an updated version.

Numerous other people have built excellent updates of this great set, many of which are far superior to mine, but I'm pleased with my efforts regardless.

Being on a far off planet doesn't mean the crew of the Classic Space Outpost can't have some Easter fun! :)

Inside view with Laboratory, main docking module and Command module on display.

I realized there wasn't quite enough space between the central gun array and the aft engine section, so I corrected that. And had to redesign the supports while I was at it.

Space Truckin' 🚀🚛 : The Last Leg

Built for the Iron Forge, preliminary round of Iron Builder 2020. Seed part is Minifig legs (if you don't already know by now).

I've used them in a few spots for this microscale space delivery: cargo, side of space-truck bridge, initial ring x2, construction drones. I found some interesting, though sometimes finnicky, connections for them - including StarWars antennae, & stud shooter hammers.

Enjoy! And good luck to all who are testing their mettle right now, alongside me, at home.

Synthwave Lego Shoot

Last year I came across my old Legos so, with nothing else to do, I rebuilt them. Now I have all these Legos around so I've randomly started using them for pictures.

UMB Dagger Team United Mars Bases is back into the Galactic Speeder League. For the first time in team's history they will be using ionic engines rather than plasma. This Racing landspeeder is vaguely based on the official lego set 60224.

It's Thanksgiving week here in the US, so let's build a mech piloted by a roast turkey. Because why not?

The Carver mech is pretty simplistic in construction but it gets the idea across, and uses an accent colour (yellow) that I rarely use outside of NCS bumblebee striping and Blacktron I.

1993’s Blizzard Baron enters the LEGO City from Ive Planet 2002!

An OG Hoth snowspeeder, who doesn’t love that?

This set has a couple classic Ice Planet prints, cool minifig with accessories, and a decent amount of neon transparent orange elements for a little ship!

Not only is it a capable little snowspeeder, but it has a detachable communications base/portable science lab. Simple, but a good use of a few parts to bring more story elements to a small build.

I’m happy to have this guy added to my Ice Planet 2002 fleet. Did you have this set? Does it hold up as interesting to a modern audience? Anyone know why it’s also called the Ice Planet Vx122?

I’ll be looking at more retro LEGO soon, including more Space!

I have wanted to build something with teal (aka Dark Turquoise) for a long time. This was my first run. I'd like to use coral as an accent color on a future endeavor, but that will likely have to wait until more parts are available in that color. Got the build done just in time for BrickFair Virginia this year, but not the stickering.

The upgraded Blacktron Raider V2 features more powerful engines and shields and updated control surfaces.

Finally I am done with the modifications on the set 31107, I am happy with the original design from Lego, it’s a thoughtful, neat and realistic design, so I could focus on adding more details to personalize the design. Apart from the Classic Space flag, printed tiles added on the crane, solar panels and ventilation fan added on the roof of the vehicle, the control panel inside the cockpit has been reconstructed. However, the major modifications are adding details to the axle at the bottom of the chassis and adding a cargo platform on the right of the vehicle, there is a container there to store the samples collected by the robotic arms and there is extra space for another oxygen or water tank. Now the rover is ready for the new adventure. BTW, I have also made some modifications to the little robot assistant, adding more blue elements to it.

1997’s Robo Stalker, another Mech from the strange RoboForce sub-theme!

I’m kind of a fan of the space robot goblin in striped pants, vaguely reminds me of a Beetlejuice getup? Idk, but I dig it.

This set has some seriously unique space elements and a few familiar. This set stands strong as a part’s pack, but it has enough originality to merit its own existence in any retro space collection

Good consoles for both drivers, great transparent orange elements, and even a cool sticker over the torso windshield

This set has all the prints and printed legs for the minifigs, super deluxe for ‘97

Each pilot of the orange faction of RoboForce shares the same face (previously used in Aquanauts’ sub-theme), which is an odd choice considering how many different elaborate prints were used in these sets

The detachable head/craft is good looking, with that large Exploriens’ element for a cockpit, adjustable wings, and two storage containers

The Doctrine Raijū

SHIP Length: 105 Studs

--------------------

Built for SHIPtember 2024.

WIP Photo

Main Photo

Built by Nick Kappatos and myself for BrickFair VA, 2021. The landing pad and roadway components were modular in nature, with the hope of expanding and rearranging over time.

Episode 14 of this year's FebRovery and equalling my usual average of 1 rover every other day, this little runabout rover using the barrel sections from the UCS Galaxy Explorer rounds out my builds for the month.

This was built for WACKlug's Nexo Knight Fly-in for BrickCon 2017.

The reason it's taken me so long to post is it's the build I'm probably least happy with from the last few years. While there are some areas (head, neck, blast shield) that I came into with a solid vision and am satisfied with the execution of, there are many others that were rushed; hodgepodges of parts that I came at with no plan beyond a vague overall shaping, and didn't feel like taking the time to fix. The underside in particular is painfully embarrassing.

There is one other motorized function not shown: extendable landing gear. However the weight of the final build far exceeds the lifting capacity of 2 XL motors and it's pretty much impossible to demonstrate now.

corellian_custom on Instagram had this incredible design for a a real powerhouse of an X-Wing Starfighter. I loved the design and put it in brick form.

The latest RogueBricks contest called for speedy spaceships: 'Space Police Tag-Team' required people to pair up in teams of two, one building for the good guys, and one for the baddies.

YgrekLego went with Space Police and I decided to take a look into Blacktron again!

The Blacktron Shapeshifter is a harmless, civil and rusty looking light spaceship. But wait until its firepower is revealed. If you don't look fast enough you won't know what hit you!

1997’s Robo Master, the Big One from the bizarre RoboForce sub-theme!

That neon dome! And all the prints! It’s like a better version the Blacktron 2 pods, but it’s on this weird Beast Wars mecha. And it doesn’t detach to fly off. Bummer.

What does detach to fly off is pretty cool for how simplistic it is: a smaller Unitron Star Hawk II (#1789). A set design from another far superior Space sub-theme.

I don’t mean to hate on RoboForce this much, it looks cool, has tons of prints, neon transparent elements, and great minifigs with leg prints and updated helmet sculpts! All of that is awesome!

But why wasn’t this designed as a spacecraft? It would have been among the best. LEGO hadn’t figured out Mechs in ‘97, but they sure have now.

Final thought, what was the tail thing?

A weapon? A ‘robot’? A charger for the spacecraft?

Space Police Planetary Hammerhead Incident Support Harrier

aka- The Big P.H.I.S.H.

Made for #febrovery this is an ode to my childhood in two ways: One of my favorite sets growing up was the Solar Snooper from the "green" era of Space Police. The other influence was my brother and my favorite non-LEGO toys- the Cobra Hammerhead from G.I.Joe.

This rover reuses the wheels I made for my MTron Gigaton Flux Inductor moc. The P.H.I.S.H. operates on planets with water and is amphibious by nature. When the Aquanauts call for help to deal with pesky Aquasharks the Space Police are there to help with this enforcement vehicle. The vehicle carries two Poseidon Darts, each equipped with 4 torpedoes and a harpoon cannon plus a holding compartment for criminals behind the pilot. There are also two T.U.N.A subs (Tactical Underwater Nautical Attack sub) each carrying two torpedoes.

On the harrier itself are two torpedoes, a rotating dual harpoon cannon, and two dual barrel forward-facing cannons. The vehicle is operated by two drivers, two Poseidon Dart pilots, two T.U.N.A. sub pilots, and an additional enforcement officer.

Hope you like this nostalgic build. It was created using the Greyscalegorilla Plus Plugins, Bricklink Studio, Cinema4D, and Photoshop on a Puget Systems machine. I started this build two days ago and took roughly 8 hrs to make.
