LEGO Space: because you can’t spell “asteroids” without “steroids!”

This is a composite image of two photos: the top image is six retro space minifigs, and below is their custom magnfigure counterparts. I've never created a magnifigure of a Space Police II minifig, due to the lack of green-colored hinge plates and modified tiles.

Scarab Pods were tiny craft that could be launched from much larger vessels within the Federation's fleet. Used for short range missions and as escape pods when large ships had to be abandoned, they were extremely tough and durable, able to weather harsh atmospheric conditions and extremes of heat as they carried their pilots to safety.

An update of the old classic One-Man Spaceship set.

Built by Nick Kappatos and myself for BrickFair VA, 2021. The landing pad and roadway components were modular in nature, with the hope of expanding and rearranging over time.

Federation ATR Rover 3 on Night Patrol in Sector 12

I don't know how much free time I'll have for these on Febrovery, so why not now?

Rocket made for the display "Space Panic" at the french convention Brick à Dole 2017.

The theme of the display being the "Space", it was obvious to make a reference to Tintin and his famous rocket.

Basically, I took the form, the color, the 3 "legs" of the Tintin rocket.

I voluntarily modified the top of the rocket with a cockpit to get close to the spirit "Lego Space"

Minifigs Tintin, Captain Haddock and Snowy are relatively faithful to the comic.

Here we see our Classic White Spaceman on some strange new planet making quite a remarkable discovery with his trusty sidekick: F.R.E.D. (Field Recon Exploration Droid).

I had to take a photo of the latest member of my Classic Space Gang. I recently got the 5002812 set and I couldn't wait to feature him!

X1 Freedom Rebel Fighter

The X1 was a Pre-Republic ship lost in time with old markings of a forgotten faction. All grace and dignity were left behind in favor of raw power and functionality. This combat-ready ship's oversized cannons were optimized with its powerful engines for the best obliteration of its enemy. Dogfighting against it was not advisable if you valued your life.

Some say X-Wing was inspired by this relic a long time ago.

Coming up next...here‘s a first glance at the theme of my new build, which will be revealed very soon. Stay tuned, for this will also be a new project totgeht with Boba-1980

In the world of rovers, there are the functional, the aesthetic, and the downright weird.

The Kanu-VI is definitely in this last category, being shaped, for unknown reasons, rather like an old canoe with wheels. The Kanu-VI is the more rugged-terrain version of the Kanu-IV, and features an additional axle as well as the standard features.

The Kanu Rover Corporation made a whole career of boat-shaped rovers for airless and waterless planets, and no-one but their idiosyncratic design team is quite sure why.

Before entering his Exo-Suit spaceman Pete is checking with with the systems engineer, Marissa Marley, to make sure the board is green and ready launch.

:::This image is featuring my custom NCS minifigure utility suit, this time in green to represent the salvage team.

As I’ve mentioned before, I've gone into quite a bit of detail into what I’ve been up to with these decals and my in-universe story that goes along with them at these links: flic.kr/p/uGsj68 - flic.kr/p/tN5MpG - flic.kr/p/tQUCKj - flic.kr/p/vqD47G

The shaping on the main hull is pretty subtle and this is a nice look at it. It's right at the limit of what's doable with this technique. I've got better now but I was pushing limits in 2014 when I built her.

This was an undertaking to redesign, but I think it turned out well. Enjoy, and support classic space by clicking the link below to support my LEGO Ideas project! ideas.lego.com/projects/f1b1dfc3-4ef2-4992-aab7-aad16bceed0d

Saw some potential to use up some more of my big pieces and polish up a build I wasnt too happy with. Think this version strikes closer to what I had originally envisioned when I first built this spaceship.

A custom blacktron build which I worked a lot on, and one of my most complex spaceship designs

It features a modern cockpit, a cargo bay which can be opened and contains 2 small containers. It’s got a bomb bay too and you can reload the bombs and even release them with a push of a button. Also there is a secret compartment in the ship with a data recorder, and for landings there are landing legs too!😎

Some better views of the different booster stages.

A quick shot of my M:Tron magnifigure posed with a makeshift lunar surface, in front of my Moth Nebula matte painting. As sort of a last minute idea I added the excess transparent green antennae to give it more of a sci-fi ascetic.

This ship is uniquely capable of creating separations in spacetime and opening rifts in the fabric of the universe through which it can travel great distances in an instant.

I fell in love with a LEGO Movie 2 set recently (70828 Pop-Up Party Bus) and named many reasons why. But it took a coworker pointing out an old model of mine sitting on display at home for me to realize I was always destined to love the set.

(This isn’t a plagiarism claim, there’s a lot more different than similar but I thought it was funny how my love seems to have been rooted more subconsciously than I expected)

This is my revamp of the classic 1985 set. Please support Classic Space and click the link below to support my LEGO Ideas project. Thanks! ideas.lego.com/projects/f1b1dfc3-4ef2-4992-aab7-aad16bceed0d

While the big expansionist epoch the origin star system of humanity became the central hub of transportation in the whole galaxy. Due to favorable opportunities of gravitational assists, from the outer planets with higher gravity, the ring system of Saturn was the place to be. Large systems and arrays of orbital platforms were built outwards the E-ring.

Now, these platforms are connected through a fast network of orbital highways, and gigatons of material are moved on them on a daily basis from one facility to the next one and from one landing field to the next.

Security reasons made it necessary to move one bigger container slowly and in the microgravity of the highway. M:tron put together a convoy protected by SpacePolice to get the job done safely.

My personnal favorite of this FebRovery ^^

"Let's kick some ice!"

Action pose of my Ice Planet 2002 magnifigure and his comically-oversized Orange Transparent Chainsaw.

I used a small piece of sticky tack on his foot to keep him propped up, and took the photo on top of a plate of glass in front of a cloth sky backdrop.

While exploring an unnamed K-Class planet in the Omicron Theta System, Captain Kayden Robert Knight, commander of Nova Team, calls in an Exo Suit Mark III to help the crew survey the dark, foggy, rough terrain of the planet surface in the hopes of making new discoveries.

::: I’ve been wanting to do this photo ever since I ordered the Exo Suit. But it took me a couple of weeks to wrap my brain around how I wanted to achieve this image and find the time to actually do it. I found getting the volumetric lighting I had envisioned was a little tricky, but with lots of lighting adjustments and many rounds with with the fog machine, I think I got it. I’m pretty happy with the "feel" of this one. I sort of like how the Exo Suit is slightly obscured and almost abstract looking as it comes from the light.

Some near-future space rovering for the next episode of FebRovery. This makes episode 9.

Neo Tunnel transport 4980 Rock Raiders

Can't resist to upload this... sorry for the many uploads !

This MOC (actually, a mix beetween two different creations) shows my tendency to build CS a bit like the Town style from the same era. That is because I also love the Town sets, especially from the 80's to the mid-90's.

Last upload for a little while.

Now ... to FebRovery ;-)

Ice Planet 2002- Ice Station Ody-"PC"

Is it Ice Planet 2002? Is it a computer?

It's both!

Brickworld 2025's theme was "Braving the Elements", so here is my AIR cooled ICE PLANET pc with a little FIRE and hot WATER thrown in to get as many elements as possible.

It is my latest attempt to merge my two hobbies- LEGO MOCs and custom-built PCs into one build! The PC components are mounted using LEGO elements, meaning there is no metal frame or screws involved anywhere in this build. The open frame PC "case" can be lifted from the MOC (after discounting the USB powered black light in the main control tower and the probe launch tower to the right of the CPU cooling fan) by the built in technic handle. Though who would want to lose the sweet MOC its built into? Check out some of my older posts to see the LL HoRyzen for a PC built into an orange spaceship!

PC Specs:

Ryzen 5600X3D

Gigabyte AORUS Pro AX B550I

32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro

Sapphire Pure Radeon 7800 XT

750-Watt Silver Stone ITX PSU

Yes, it can play Crysis :D

The Ice Planet MOC features all the classic Ice Planet hallmarks- a probe launch point and magnetic crane, neon orange accents and snowshoes, and a little spacecraft, modeled after a classic space fighter I previously built, but this time in Ice Planet trimmings. This built uses far less black than LEGO Ice Planet builds did- I substituted some dark blue into the doors instead, but kept the black on the probe. Some fun little LEGO stories going on as well with the Ice Planeteers bathing in the hot tube, the commander carving an ice sculpture, and the penguins roasting s'mores!

The colonial farmers got sick of too much physical work. So they buy these robots in order to have them work instead of them. The robots drag stuff around, they dig, they are packing stuff and so many other things. The only thing the farmers have to do is to carge them.

Built for MOC Wars 2020

Category: 7. Colonial Futurism

Built in about 2 and a half hours. Wanted to make a base for it but unfortunately didn’t have enough pieces in the right colors. This build felt a bit more in the comfort zone than the others.

An autonomous scout robot for freezing environments where no man has gone before. Can also be used for small transport, hench the pouches it carries.

Captain Kayden Robert Knight with members from Nova Team have infiltrated a mercenary stronghold in hopes of gathering intel on their latest plans. Here we see the captain eavesdropping in on a secret conversation between three mercenaries.

:::This is part of a small series of photos I'll be posting in the coming days. It's a concept that I've wanted to do for months now, but struggled on how best to achieve the look I had in mind and not to mention find the time to actually execute it! I'm pretty happy with the results. Please let me know what you guys think! Thanks so much, I always enjoy the comments!
