The Classic Space gang is horrified to find a yellow (otherwise known in the LEGO world as naked) fellow spaceman! And poor Yellow Spaceman doesn't seem to be very amused.

I don't know about you guys but I've always found the yellow spaceman to be the odd one out. Right? Think about it a yellow-skin person wearing a spacesuit in the same color. Weird. ;-)

Behind the Scenes: Aside from the my view on the yellow classic spaceman, it was also inspired by eyescream54 's very funny photo here: www.flickr.com/photos/103785493@N05/14653567720 I want to make sure I give credit where credit is deserved.

checking out the Gargoyle caves....

Ever since I had the privileged opportunity to suggest this cockpit be moulded in the iconic Blacktron I colours, I have dreamed of putting it into a MOC worthy of the amazing 80's aesthetic that the Snow Speeder windscreen just SCREAMS. To me, that's an attack-helicopter with legs a-la Mechwarrior/Battletech - something in the realm of the Marauder/Catapult (Mad Cat / Timber Wolf / Stormcrow / Viper ) variety. Since the amazing set The Force Burner Snowspeeder™ 75414

designed by Daniel Lehmann released last month, and because he graciously outed me as the catalyst for the windscreen's bold look, I have endeavoured to make my retro bipedal Battle Mech. I used a TON of vintage parts and tried to stick closely to the original design language and pattern of the Blacktron I sets. This model is my sturdiest Mech MOC yet! Incorporating dynamic posing, I could achieve this cool pose, and with some supports it could definitely get into a running position. It has working actuators and armor panels that adapt to the shifts in the legs, seats two pilots, and has a winch for them to ascend to the main body from the ground. I am planning to do some outdoor/diorama scenes with SPI getting their comeuppance, but it is an ABSOLUTE dust magnet so I ran to the office for some beauty shots. If you want the whole story of the windscreen, ask me in person. This will be at Skærbæk 2025. I hope you enjoy!!!

For the Lego Speeder Bike contest.

Another effort to improve upon the trusted classic rover design. While the minifigs are clearly enjoying themselfes, it turned out to be quite inefficient to manually move the balls along in order for the vehicle to surf on them. One more dead end, it seems.

Took a while, but I was able to get to more of the finer details of this build, including some greebling and a full compliment of control thrusters.

OK, let's try something bigger than just creator expert... What would you think of something more luxurious?

The subterranean corridors of Tranquility Base.

This was built while hanging out with a friend. I would like to encourage those out there that have trouble finding inspiration for builds to just get together with others and build.

A render of Peter Reid's LL- 117 Icarus.

This one of my favourite builds of his.

The new Space Police Guys require some new equipment to hunt those new Backtron Bounty Hunters...

This small build is my first entry to the RogueOlympics on www.roguebricks.de.

This was built for WACKlug's Nexo Knight Fly-in for BrickCon 2017.

The reason it's taken me so long to post is it's the build I'm probably least happy with from the last few years. While there are some areas (head, neck, blast shield) that I came into with a solid vision and am satisfied with the execution of, there are many others that were rushed; hodgepodges of parts that I came at with no plan beyond a vague overall shaping, and didn't feel like taking the time to fix. The underside in particular is painfully embarrassing.

There is one other motorized function not shown: extendable landing gear. However the weight of the final build far exceeds the lifting capacity of 2 XL motors and it's pretty much impossible to demonstrate now.

Just one of thousands of remote research facilities dotting the faces of inhospitable worlds throughout the quadrant, ResHub-Kraakus/alpha had never been notable in any way. But then transmissions ceased, the constant flow of information faded into nothing. Hub Alpha went silent.

[Sigh]

My photography skills - or rather my lack of therein - is proving to be the bane of my MOCing. For some unknown reason I feel reluctant to start anything new until my last wotsit or thingamabob is photographed and uploaded. But as soon as I try and take a photo of anything I begin to get very frustrated - the colour's not right, the angle's all wrong, the pic's too fuzzy. And so I put down my camera in disgust and the MOC lies around for weeks before I give it another shot. And all that time I build nothing because in my head my last project isn't complete.

In short, aargh.

PS. Try and ignore the tan ship in the lower left, as soon as I uploaded I decided I didn't like it.

PPS. I'm slightly concerned that Google Chrome's spellcheck recognizes "thingamabob" but not "spellcheck"

Super Heavy Transport Rover

I'm calling this color scheme on the Basilisk the "R" or "Type R". I've been seeing this color scheme, or variants on it, show up on a lot of cars. Some are black on gray, without the red, some have a red stripe on black and a variety of main colors (see the "sport" trim on the Subaru Forester). It's a nice look. Funny thing, I tried this with both red fins and black fins, and even though the fins are small, the difference is a dramatic difference in how bright or dark the ship looks overall.

UFO is a 1970 British television science fiction series about an alien invasion of Earth.

The show's basic premise is that in 1980 Earth is being visited and attacked by aliens from a dying planet and humans are being covertly harvested for their organs by the aliens.

The show's main cast of characters are members of a secret, high-technology international agency called SHADO (an acronym for Supreme Headquarters, Alien Defence Organisation) established to defend Earth and humanity against the mysterious aliens.

SHADO has a variety of high-tech hardware and vehicles at its disposal to implement a layered defence of Earth.

Among these the ground units including the armored SHADO Mobile, fitted with caterpillar tracks, in the pic above the evo-lution version bruick-built.

My LEGO SHADO mobile features extras:

- a bubble canopy;

- a front hook;

- a radar antenna with auxiliar light;

- a back entrance and other accessories.

I recreated a detailed interior with many features, included on board computers and many weapons useful to prevent potential aliens' attacks.

The crew is composed by three: commander, driver and radio operator (all of them well equipped).

Thanks for stopping by.

After running into the bad guy boss Severus Starcrusher, it looked like our heros were doomed! But thanks to Nova Team's sabotage, the base's power grid suddenly exploded, damaging Starcrusher's mech suit and allowing the team to escape the fiery explosion and make out with their precious intel! Mission accomplished!

::: This is the final image in my Infiltration series and I hope everyone has enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun taking and working with these pictures to tell this little story. My hope is to do more adventures of Nova Team in the near future. Thank you all for the kind comments, I always appreciate it! :::

new update for space Wolf on Lego Ideas

This model is inspired by the Deep Freeze Defender 6973 from the 1993 Ice Planet 2002 collection.

contains 2373 parts with display stand. It was my favorite ship of my childhood.

This ship contains 2200 parts.

Built from the scraps of abandon ship yards. Templeton and his motley crew travel the galaxy bringing entertainment to planets around the universe.

It can be what ever you want it to be!

This original spaceship MOC was built for a 2.5 hours space building challenge with the Brickz Lab guys, and was overall a lot of fun to build! What do you guys think?

If you liked it and would like to see other angles of the ship, check out the full showcase video on YouTube: youtu.be/42dPW9AM46A

Small progress on adding the back plating tonight. I only had about an hour to work on this today...

Contestant at the Cyber Neon Circuit Racing League

This racer is off my usual theme but was a lot of fun to build. A couple of Rogue Brick buddies and I build a racing collar for "Steinewahn 2020" in Berlin a few weeks back.

Details and shots on site to follow...

My entries for the current Lego Ideas Contest "Create ART to be enjoyed by all!" Well, I hope this is being enjoyed by Classic Space Fans at least ! :)

When you're exploring icy worlds at cryogenic temperatures, skis can often be more effective than wheels or treads. This little rocket-propelled skidoo is perfect for those times when you need to go fast at ground level and have a lot of room to slow down. Like the ice flats of planet Krysto.

FebRovery episode 10. Double digits at last; I've been singularly uninspired this year and haven't managed to keep up my normal amount of rovers. Ah well, there's always next year!

My submission for BrickLink Designer Program series 7: Synthwave Sunset

You may recognize my favourite colour palette I've borrowed from Ursa Minor. However, with this design, I'm aiming for synthwave/vaporwave aesthetics.

If you enjoy, please vote!

Tatooine now has its own team in the Galactic Speeder League! Covadidja Crayt is their speeder entered into the B+ class. The massive tail fin was inspired by pre WWII racing machinery, and the front wings – by various F1 experiments in Monaco in the beginning of 2000s.
