My submission for BrickLink Designer Program series 7: Synthwave Sunset

You may recognize my favourite colour palette I've borrowed from Ursa Minor. However, with this design, I'm aiming for synthwave/vaporwave aesthetics.

If you enjoy, please vote!

I remade set 6851 „Tri-Wheeled Tyrax“ for #JbbClassicRemake on Instagram.

I had so much fun upscaling the classic set. Hope you like it.

Hi, Space Police squad... Let me introduce you your new Nightmare : the B-Rex! Muahahaha 😈

"Command Base" made for the display "Space Panic" at the french convention Brick à Dole 2017.

Refresh of a famous Lego set, a set from my childhood, the "Beta I Command Base" n°6970 #Nostalgie

I kept the overall shape of the base, the idea of radars and interior design but adding a touch of modernity (especially the back side).

Compared to the original version, I added a lot of technical equipment on the back (Air conditioning especially ^^)

On the roof, I simply add a touch of modernity on antennas and radars.

My build for FriendSHIPtember - an Exobotany Exploratory Vehicle. These Minidolls are touching down on a Crystalline Comet to research the alien flora.

It was awesome building this alongside my kiddo, who helped me design the weapon rack and crew, as well as some side creations of their own. The Party Bus windscreen seed parts from Moto led to some super functional LEGO Dots straps which also are structurally holding the removable top covers so they can't get lost. A winch in the armory can help lower and raise crew members, and a revolving door separates the control room from the entry area.

done for CSE contest on Eurobricks Sci-fi forum.

Magnatech Gasbomb Striker - aka The Nebula

This one of a kind spaceship is frequently used by the legendary race theme Magna-Vortex Dynamics in the annual SSR (Stun Space Race). Equipped with cloaking gas bombs which can both be launched at competitors and released in the ship's vicinity, the Nebula is a racer not to be taken lightly. It's all about taking contestants by surprise, showing up from nowhere and quickly releasing a well-placed stun blast.

SSR - Stun Space Race: A spaceship race where only non-lethal shots and missiles are allowed. The most common perks are stun blasters or disruptor missiles which can disable steering or whole engines for a short moment of time if they hit targets in the right place. This approach can be used tactically in races. Of course it can be used to force competitors to crash also, making SSR a dangerous championship if the drivers don't beware.

Other perks are allowed and encouraged, but new ideas are always reviewed by the SSR Committee before being accepted.

This spaceship was built for the contest Space Jam 2020 for our racing team Magna-Vortex Dynamics. We have a Vision Mark III Docking Station, this ship named Magnatech Gasbomb Striker

(aka The Nebula), and a speeder called Note X. Our colors are white, light bluish gray

and dark red. We also came up with a logo for the team.

Another one from the backlogs. Once again just forcing myself to use new parts in an effort to feel less bad about always compulsively buying them. :)

Also this is one of my favorite CMFs and I need to do more with it,

AstroTech is expanding its program in B+ class of the Galactic Speeder League with a customer offer. For season 21, team Mauna-Effa received two AstroTech P8 L speeders — a modified P8 model with a lava engine produced on Mauna-Effa and improved aerodynamics.

Also known as the Lunar Dumper, set 6847 was one of the first crop of sets to feature astronaut minifigures in suit colours other than red and white, but I have to say I always found the yellow suit colour looked really bizarre with the yellow standard migifig skintone.

Regardless, 6847 was a cool set, one of the more functional and realistic near-future-toned of the various later CS sets, and seemed worthy of an update.

Season's Greetings!

Rosanna II begins to take real shape this evening. I've fitted her docking and topside hatches, and filled out most of her top. All I need is to fill in the rear, engines, and underside, and do the interior.

Not sure about the red in the 'intakes' of the pods - might see about light grey or yellow.

Team Astrotech is back into the Unlim class of the Galactic Speeder League. Their new model, P9 Shiro, is a heavily modified earlier P4 speeder. The P9 is lighter, sleeker and sturdier, has more aerodynamic elements at the back and less at the front. And most importantly, it is the first vehicle in the League's faster class to utilize the lava engines produced solely on the planet of Mauna-Effa. In season 24, one of P9s is entered by the Astrotech factory team, and another one by team Mauna-Effa. There are two specs available, with and without headlights, the former used for night races, the latter being sleeker. Astroteсh does not put high hopes on the model as it is ised mostly to test the lava engines before the creation of the next generation P10 racing speeder which will feature a completely new body design.

This one took a long time to design, so I hope you like it! Please support and share the idea below!

Just your average space Uber with a huge transparent canopy

For this #Febrovery build, I have combined The Wiggles and LEGO classic space!

The Wiggles has been playing nonstop in my house and after sitting down and watching the documentary, I couldn’t help but be inspired. Some highlights from when I was a kid were The Big red car, Dorithy the dinosaur and the many hilarious antics of Captain Feather sword.

"The X-70B Phantom-class Prototype was a prototype starship of the reconstituted Sith Empire used by Imperial Intelligence during the Great Galactic War. It was designed with a clean sleek appearance to pass as a civilian luxury shuttle, allowing Imperial Agents to easily infiltrate Republic space without being detected." This ship first appeared in the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic as the Imperial Agent class ship.

This MOC was designed and built over the course of 8 months after getting the suggestion from someone over on Flickr. Overall it was a very challenging build because of all the different angles and curves that combine together in such a smooth and clean design. That being said it was a lot of fun and the "in-universe" ship is one of my favorite ones in Star Wars.

I hope you liked it and stay tuned for much more coming soon!

LEGO Homeworld - Hiigaran Destroyer

Built this awhile back for the Brickzlab (discord and Flickr group) and their space challenge. I have been so busy with school, vignweek, 253rd legion and EmpireLUG and I haven’t posted it. But I really like this diorama.

The Conestoga is my next custom Star Wars creation. It's a spaceship this time, or more precisely, a tanker. It can deliver high-quality fuel anywhere in a Galaxy far, far away... It can avoid the Empire. No questions asked. All you need is the right amount of credits...

The TR-12 Transformer uses two ferrite cores to simultaneously step-up and step-down electrical currents. It was build by Filler Brick Advanced Electrical Devices to help with the upcoming fusion experiments. It will be used to provide power input to the magnetic containment field of the cyclotron and convert its power output for feeding back into the grid.

So I finally got a good, nicely detailed, nicely backgrounded shot of my Classic Signature spaceship, the Phantom 7. That's what you get, I guess, with more photo experience and a better camera.

Haelos Star Yards is the new powerhouse of the Galaxy. After the defeat of the Empire, the seven orbital shipyards above Denon roared to life to produce brand new state of the art starships, fighters, and transports.

The sleek 650 meter long Vausi-class Cruiser is a testament to HSY’s innovative design as well as its newfound might, as well as a symbol of Denon’s culture. 15 rotating turbo lasers protect the ship from all sides, frontal heavy cannons can punch through deflector shields, while its two hangars can hold up to half a dozen star fighters each.

A limited run of 10 cruisers protect HSY shipments and its headquarters around the city-planet from Imperial remnants and the corrupt New Republic government seeking to monopolise the shipbuilding corporation.

MMM : Mysterious Mean Machine...

My submission to Brickset's Instagram competition to commemorate 60 Years of the LEGO brick, here's my microscale replica of the LEGO Space Futuron massive model "Monorail Transport System!"

I actually owned this set when I was very young, and I've always considered it my favorite LEGO set of all time. Despite growing up in poverty, I managed to get hold of this gargantuan model at age 6: after my parents divorced in 1989, my father moved away and tried to win me in a custody battle by sending me this huge set for my birthday. With my lack of dexterity at the time, I was unable to assemble most of this huge model according its instructions, and instead used the parts to make random space stations and ships. Then at age 7, I used components of the monorail to build a space station MOC as an entry to a LEGO-building contest at our local KMart in Lancaster, PA. I won a t-shirt for my efforts.

When my family moved around a lot in my childhood, I lost many key components of the monorail, and to this very day, only some of the grey tracks and black stanchions survive in my collection. Eventually some day I plan on installing this monorail to travel around the perimeter of the interior my house. Unfortunately the grey tracks are incredible rare, so hopefully a 3D printing techniques can fill in the gaps.

As for this particular model/photo: I built this in just a few days, with the major obstacle being the wait for the curved tiles to arrive in the mail. Otherwise, the overall project was rather streamlined. Subsequent challenges involved the photo shoot: the big challenge was shooting it in low light with proper fill light, in order to keep the backgrounds dark and the subject exposed enough. I placed the model on top of a black folding table, then achieved the red glowing background by placing a red spotlight up against a black backdrop. Then I pointed a bright white softbox over the scene, and diffused it with a reflector disc.
