This is an Ancient Temple from India. This is the Nagara style of Architecture which was fully developed in the 10th century. Such Temples exist till date and are very much in use as a place of worship and pilgrimage. In Hinduism the devotee offers flowers and fruit to the 'deity' as a form of worship. Therefore we always see stalls selling garlands, flowers and fruit outside a temple. A visit to the Temple is not a sombre event, and could be and evening outing for the family or a 'picnic' Therefore one finds a 'fair' like atmosphere around the entrance.

This is the 21004 set of the Architecture series, the first and smaller set of Guggenheim Museum in New York.

It was a Christmas present from several years ago but the original design had never convinced me...

So, I have changed the entire model, from the basement to the main building, until to the iconic roof!

The inspiration is the 21035 set, the bigger Guggenheim, but I always prefer the smaller sets because they are more synthetic and ingenious! :)

My Lego model of Detroit's Penobscot Building. Its height requires the use of a 5 step ladder in order to assemble the top two sections. This view shows the Griswold and Fort Street corner of the building.

Sometimes you start a MOC and it takes several years to complete it, and then another year to take proper photos of it. This is one of those MOCs.

This is my deep dive into modular buildings. So far I really like it? It is fun to create buildings that are made of all these bits of inspiration of Portland locations. The art store is a love letter to the now defunct Art Media in downtown Portland.

This model was commissioned by Living Sky Casino in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was unveiled at their 10-year anniversary celebration on December 28, 2018.

Model was built by MEEP Creative Agency (LEGO builder: kellyrev) in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada.

The seven stone-cut murals on the side of the real building were redrawn and printed on vinyl stickers.

Second Floor Dining area.

Converted from the Palace Cinema, this is the establishment that it was yearning to be. With elements from Ninjago and a kitchen stocked from an extra Parisian Cafe, this restaurant has had it's footprint expanded to allow easy dining for all minifigs who want a nice asian meal.

This private commission captures the hillside Greek-style stadium alongside the intersecting city walls and aqueduct.

Quelques détails de mon projet 2018.

This 146-meter-tall office tower marks the end of the humble skyscraper boom in early 2000’s Munich. It is the tallest building in Bavaria, only surpassed by broadcasting facilities. It was completed in 2004 and designed by German architectural firm Ingenhoven Architekten.

The unwieldy name (that is: Munich Uptown Building) derives from its address in the northern region of Munich where it’s situated close to other high-rises such as the BMW-Vierzylinder and Highlight Towers.

Its current main tenant is Spanish communications company Telefónica, hence the giant O’s on the west and east facade of the tower. The high-rise itself is surrounded by several multi-story convention centers and offices.

The model consists of 2,787 pieces (649 of which are foliage) and is built in scale 1:650.

modern lego architecture

this is the second built I kept using 21050 - Architecture Studio. The first I experienced with SOOT technique. This buildings are from 2013 so the beginning of my micropolis project. I've been very lazy for seven years and now that I'm broke I can strongly say that the project is hitting a very slow snail pace. let's see it in 2030.

Also these buildings are very evocative of nothing really. just strange random building process.

one consisting of seeing one can built on one side of a very small and frail structure without tilting it. I think I succeed cos the building is still standing today.

My first attempt at modern-ish architecture. The house is designed with a bachelor pad in mind, more specifically a guitarist/musician (hence the guitar collection and piano).

This is my latest Moc an Visitor Centre located near a river. It's modeled after a paddle boat.

As a symbol of socialist strength and economical power, the former German Democratic Republic (East Germany) had the tallest structure of western Europe built in the center of Germany’s largest city at a time when other European countries were not even thinking about high rises of this scale. At 368 meters, the Berliner Fernsehturm, completed in 1969, surpassed the former Berliner Funkturm in the western part of the city by more than 220 meters and remains the tallest building in Europe west of Latvia. Its characteristic silvery shining sphere is an integral part of Berlin’s iconic skyline.

At the foot of the tower lies the Park am Fernsehturm, consisting of public green spaces, the Neptune Fountain, and the more than 700 years old St. Mary’s Church of Berlin.

The model consists of 2,684 pieces and is built in scale 1:650.

House of Three is a contemporary Scandinavian family home. I've tried to catch contemporary Scandinavian architecture in colours, floor plan and roof design. The interior and furniture in inspired by IKEA and other Scandinavian designs. Comfortable living suitable for a small family.

This creation is built on moduverse plates. The garden can be removed and divided into two parts.

Presenting my LEGO Architecture interpretation of Caerphilly Castle; a commissioned model for Cadw with Little Big Art.

I’ve captured and replicated the architectural essence of Caerphilly Castle, such as the iconic leaning tower and the ruins across the landmark.

The structure is designed to provide a true-to-life colour and relative scale depiction adding an extra dimension and feel of authenticity to this detailed recreation of Wales’ biggest castle!

The LEGO display at the Saginaw Castle Museum also includes a Detroit section. In addition to four Detroit skyscrapers there is my model of a Brush Park Victorian mansion with a carriage house.

The Buhl Building is in the middle and the Book Building and Tower are on the left.

On a recent trip to the coast, I noticed the many ways in which Land meets Water.

This MOC is an attempt to mimic rockwork as arches using plates. The result was a bowl shaped island which I made into a self sustained island village.

Central Library is located in Milwaukee, WI. The building opened in 1898, and the model uses 298 pieces.

This build was for a client (Architecture). While the project remains undisclosed and is temporarily shelved due to COVID-19, I want to share the images before boxing up the model for a while. Hopefully this project will get revealed to the public and built at some point.

A Lego Group inspired building (Lego Set 10190) (well, at least the bottom floor - the top is all mine).

The "market" in Market Street, allowed early adopters of Lego Modular Building to expand their towns with European styled market space. The set included the allusion that you could (and should) build on top of the market to add variation to the presentation.

I have elected not only to expand the footprint of this building to 20x20 studs, but to put a residence on top, with their own private entrance. This is one of 3 variations of that idea.

The facade is complete to the 10th floor of the 40 story Guardian Building model.

A "Street view" of the progress so far on the Guardian Building model. It looks sort of like a Roman ruin at this stage.

Interior of first floor.

Whitebrick Sand House is characterized by straight lines, glass and sandy colours. Placed in desertlike environment, yet close to civilization. Somewhere to relax.

MichLTC's 10 x 35 foot display is at the Henry Ford Museum from November 21, 2012 to January 6, 2013. LEGO architect Adam Tucker's "Towering Ambition" LEGO skyscraper exhibit is also on display on the other side of the museum.

Chris's airport and Detroit People Mover with my FIsher and David Stott buildings providing a backdrop.

Cliffs along the side of Calmwater Cliff House MOC.

Calmwater Cliff House is located on a cliff by the beach. Two floors with a terrace on each floor. Downstairs you find a spacious kitchen and dining area, a bathroom and home office. Upstairs you find a music corner with sea view, a bedroom and the main entrance.

As you see it´s a LEGO house and I´ve mainly used the colours black, dark tan, tan and reddish brown.

I wanted to make a modern home - in some way inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and the colours of the 20th century - updated to 21st century lifestyle.

On July 1st, I installed my recently completed commission piece depicting the Hawthorn Mall redevelopment! You can see the full diorama for yourself on the second-level in the Transformation Suite at the mall in Vernon Hills, IL.
