This historic precedent of Colonial Georgian Architecture sits at the heart of Philadelphia's old city center. Independence Hall also played a crucial role in the founding of the United States, as its storied assembly rooms witnessed the signing of both the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the Constitution in 1787.

📜 The Capitoline Wolf depicts the she-wolf that found and sheltered the infants Romulus & Remus on the slopes of the Palatine Hill - some time during the early 8th century BCE, according to the myth.

The third LEGO skyscraper goes up in Wasabi District! At just over 3 feet tall and over 5000 pieces, this 10-storey building is the first office skyscraper in Wasabi District!
This is the second office floor, feautiring a large conference room, a break room and a lounge.
My Lego version of Maison Citrohan and Dom-ino prototype by Le Corbusier.
Maison Citrohan is a development of the Dom-ino concept. The idea was to create houses that could be reproduced and built in series, just like machines or cars.
This is based on a reworking of the Lego Haunted House set, with some "assistance" from Kristel's free instructions from Rebrickable, and other inspirations from BCD Mansard as well as other examples available on other Lego fan sites on the internet. I'm happy with the outcome, especially with the line of the imbedded chimney, seen if the side of the building is not against another building.
Karlskrona Admiralty Church (aka Ulrica Pia) - consecrated in 1635 and made of wood painted in Falu red. This build will be part of a microscale diorama MOC with famous buildings in Karlskrona. Karlskrona is a small city in the south of Sweden and I lived there in 2004 to 2007. On May 25th I will display my diorama (and other MOCs) at Klossfestivalen in Karlskrona.

am happy to share that my book, NEW YORK CITY BRICK BY BRICK has been selling out at all my exhibitions this past year!
I have ordered more and will be signing and selling them at events throughout 2020. Also, it is available now everywhere books are sold: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, McNally Jackson, Powells - as well your favorite local book store! Additionally, if you’re attending one of my exhibitions and you own a copy already – bring it in! I’d be happy to sign it.
Happiest of Holidays to all! And, of course: keep creating!

I had a blast designing this model of Arthur Ashe Stadium, home of the US Open tennis tournament, in LEGO®. The stadium has a retractable roof, and it was fun incorporating that movement into the model.

A scene using Set 21016 Sungnyemun, based on ideas from one of my Flickr contacts, moreska, an American currently based in Seoul.
He likes to talk about the Zombie-like mindsets of the supporters of South Korea's fascist ruling party, and to reflect that, the two minifigures on the left had their heads turned backwards so that they do not have a face. Though on second thought, the two could be South Korea's leadership. The male would be President Lee Myung-bak, an evangelical Christian who took office in 2008 and kicked off the fascist restoration, and the female would be President Park Geun-hye, Lee's successor from 2013 on, who is the daughter of ironfisted Eternal President Park Chung-hee (ruled from 1961 until his assassination in 1979) and is an ideological carbon copy of her father.
Of course, according to moreska, it wouldn't be South Korea without protesters, so what better than to bring in an angry Korea Post employee? Postal employees and other public sector employees are usually unionized, and South Korean fascists (and Korean-Americans) do consider every labor union to be a front for the North Korean Communists (and therefore "treason" under National Security Law), so let the sparks fly.
Additionally both moreska and I could conceivably see a different version of this scene that adds an angry American visitor and a very p*ssed off US President Barack Obama. Despite the much-touted alliance between the two countries, and despite the display of strong personal friendship between Lee and Obama, the fact remains that Lee and Obama are ideological opposites, and South Korea's ruling fascists would rather have Republicans in charge in Washington. Seoul already does own a number of key Republican politicians stateside, including my own Congressman. Additionally, the Obama Administration's State Department, led by Hillary Rodham Clinton, has called Seoul out on its increasing Internet censorship, and by teaming up with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon (who had been South Korea's foreign minister before the fascist restoration) on LGBT rights worldwide, has put homophobic Lee in a bind.
What say you, moreska? Or are the fascists' Great Firewall of Korea blocking your access to Flickr again?

Laundromat and Brick Bank.
Fully separated building from the Brick Bank.
This building features many of the normal type of amenities that you would find in a downtown building. The laundromat has a fair amount of equipment for customers to use, a bathroom if needed, and an on site manager in case a washer or dryer tries to eat your favorite shirt.
Upstairs, you'll find two more businesses in separate offices. A Travel Agent, and a Certified Brick Accountant.
This is an Ancient Temple from India. This is the Nagara style of Architecture which was fully developed in the 10th century. Such Temples exist till date and are very much in use as a place of worship and pilgrimage. In Hinduism the devotee offers flowers and fruit to the 'deity' as a form of worship. Therefore we always see stalls selling garlands, flowers and fruit outside a temple. A visit to the Temple is not a sombre event, and could be and evening outing for the family or a 'picnic' Therefore one finds a 'fair' like atmosphere around the entrance.
This is the 21004 set of the Architecture series, the first and smaller set of Guggenheim Museum in New York.
It was a Christmas present from several years ago but the original design had never convinced me...
So, I have changed the entire model, from the basement to the main building, until to the iconic roof!
The inspiration is the 21035 set, the bigger Guggenheim, but I always prefer the smaller sets because they are more synthetic and ingenious! :)
My Lego model of Detroit's Penobscot Building. Its height requires the use of a 5 step ladder in order to assemble the top two sections. This view shows the Griswold and Fort Street corner of the building.
Sometimes you start a MOC and it takes several years to complete it, and then another year to take proper photos of it. This is one of those MOCs.
This is my deep dive into modular buildings. So far I really like it? It is fun to create buildings that are made of all these bits of inspiration of Portland locations. The art store is a love letter to the now defunct Art Media in downtown Portland.

This model was commissioned by Living Sky Casino in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was unveiled at their 10-year anniversary celebration on December 28, 2018.
Model was built by MEEP Creative Agency (LEGO builder: kellyrev) in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada.
The seven stone-cut murals on the side of the real building were redrawn and printed on vinyl stickers.

Second Floor Dining area.
Converted from the Palace Cinema, this is the establishment that it was yearning to be. With elements from Ninjago and a kitchen stocked from an extra Parisian Cafe, this restaurant has had it's footprint expanded to allow easy dining for all minifigs who want a nice asian meal.
DESIGN Insights for my latest commission piece depicting the Stadium of Philippopolis, circa 2nd century CE!
This private commission captures the hillside Greek-style stadium alongside the intersecting city walls and aqueduct.
The remains of all three can be seen today in Plovdiv, Bulgaria; once part of the Roman province of Thracia.

This 146-meter-tall office tower marks the end of the humble skyscraper boom in early 2000’s Munich. It is the tallest building in Bavaria, only surpassed by broadcasting facilities. It was completed in 2004 and designed by German architectural firm Ingenhoven Architekten.
The unwieldy name (that is: Munich Uptown Building) derives from its address in the northern region of Munich where it’s situated close to other high-rises such as the BMW-Vierzylinder and Highlight Towers.
Its current main tenant is Spanish communications company Telefónica, hence the giant O’s on the west and east facade of the tower. The high-rise itself is surrounded by several multi-story convention centers and offices.
The model consists of 2,787 pieces (649 of which are foliage) and is built in scale 1:650.
this is the second built I kept using 21050 - Architecture Studio. The first I experienced with SOOT technique. This buildings are from 2013 so the beginning of my micropolis project. I've been very lazy for seven years and now that I'm broke I can strongly say that the project is hitting a very slow snail pace. let's see it in 2030.
Also these buildings are very evocative of nothing really. just strange random building process.
one consisting of seeing one can built on one side of a very small and frail structure without tilting it. I think I succeed cos the building is still standing today.
