This is just the 21003 set from Lego Architecture series... :)

This MOC was created using 2 - 31050 Corner Deli sets, plus additional acquired parts from my collection. Features include a full deli sandwich creation station, a full bathroom inside the deli, and courtyard seating. Also on the first floor, the space is divided to allow a second establishment to conduct business (a small overpriced coffee shop). The patrons of either establishment can use either amenity that the Deli has (bathroom - courtyard seating).

Residence access is on the street side.

The entire second floor has a small efficiency/studio apartment, complete with a full (but very small) galley kitchen, a full (shower only) bathroom and a living/sleeping area. The Murphy bed design has once again come in handy here. The residence also has a nice expanded balcony for the residents with the sandwich sign hanging off the railing.

Access to the roof is through the skylight (as per the set) and there are 2 HVAC systems located there - one for the establishments below, and one for the apartment.

The "Grander Grand Emporium" is 2 Lego Sets 10211, pushed together with additional pieces. In deference to my wonderful wife, I've renamed it "HESS" for the somewhat famous Department store/chain in Allentown, PA.

Each floor has it's own department, and since a building needs escalators to go up and down, there are 2 escalators for each floor transition. A light well extends from the skylight on the roof to the first floor unobstructed.

One of the world’s most famous landmarks spans 244 meters across the River Thames in London, constructed between 1886 and 1894 by some of the Empire‘s most renowned engineers. Its iconic 65-meter-tall towers surpass the height of its namesake, the nearby Tower of London. The shape is not because of pure aesthetic reasons but was a technical necessity to accommodate the machinery needed to operate the moveable spans, so that larger vessels could still reach harbor facilities upstream. Though it was not the first crossing between Tower Hamlets to the north and Southwark to the south, it quickly became the more popular route, leading to the demise of the Tower Subway (one of the world’s first underground railways, which went out of service in 1898).

The model consists of 1,289 pieces, is built in scale 1:650. It features moveable spans and represents the current blue and white color scheme (which it also was originally painted in).

Brookside Mansion

I am very proud to unveil my most challenging work to date, The Brookside Mansion! The mansion was originally constructed in 1889 by the industrialist John H. Bass. It now serves as the administration building for the University of Saint Francis, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration acquired the building in 1944 and converted it into a university. Originally the mansion was the only building to house the university but, as the university campus grew, it served in many roles and, as mentioned, now serves as the administration building.

In 2009, the Sisters began a restoration of the building and did an breath taking job of bringing it back to its original glory while modernizing it where needed.

It is truly a spectacular architectural delight and a dream design for any LEGO designer. I was truly honoured to be chosen for such a monumental task.

MichLTC's 10 x 35 foot display is at the Henry Ford Museum from November 21, 2012 to January 6, 2013.

A view of my revamped Fisher Building model (version 3).

Based loosely on BCD Colonial Revival House instructions. Instead of it being the 3 floors of simple boxes, I've fleshed it out a bit, adding fully furnished rooms and stairs to the second floor and a pull down ladder to the attic (which is also furnished with a guest bed and a desk/office area).

Cuboid Garden House MOC main entrance leading to the stairs.

This house has a number of cuboid bodies linked together by a dark blue tiled hallway hosting a spiral staircase. Large glass windows offer a view of the ground floor and roof garden. Solar panels and home grown vegetables contribute to a sustainable way of living.

The building on the left is 400' (120m) and has 29 floors. The dark gray skyscraper in the middle is 370' (111m) with 28 floors. In the bottom center is the city Christmas tree!

This simple modification of the LEGO Empire State Building set (21046) represents something that almost, but not quite, happened.

The spire on top of the Empire State Building had been planned as an airship mooring tower during the design and construction of the building. A few attempts were made by various airships to approach or moor during 1931. This model depicts the Goodyear Blimp Columbia which successfully delivered newspapers to the building in September 1931 (without mooring) by lowering them on a line.

The New York Times and Portable NYC have more information about this interesting period in the building's history.

The Columbia is shown in the correct scale for the Empire State Building set which is approximately 1:800 scale. The Columbia was 45m long and so should measure a little over 7 studs. This design is just under 7.5 studs. This MOC removes the communications mast at the top of the building (which was not present during the 1931 mooring attempts).

Free building instructions are available.

Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, the third bridge on the Bosphorus. With an impressive length of 2164 meters and a unique design combining suspension and cable-stayed techniques, this bridge is truly remarkable!

Designing such a large-scale Lego model of this bridge was quite a challenge. The towers, for example, needed to be firmly anchored to support the weight of the deck. They also had to accommodate the main cable and the hangers, which play a crucial role in distributing the load.

The entire model functions similarly to its real-life counterpart. A good example is the two black boxes visible at the edges of the bridge. They serve two purposes first, adding weight to prevent the bridge from tilting sideways, and second, housing the anchoring system to adjust the tension of the main cable.

Some statistics the model consists of nearly 26,000 pieces, spans 7.11 meters in length, and weighs around 24 kg.

I am very pleased to present the Legacy Tower in Rochester, New York.

My client loves the architecture of this building and wanted it done in microscale for his collection. As always, we worked together closely to make sure his imagination became a reality.

The resulting design is 13.6 " (34.6 cm) high and the base is 7.6" (19.2cm) square. All together there are 4001 pieces.

This was easily the most complex microscale build I have done to date and it was an incredibly fun challenge!

A view of the upper banking hall of the Guardian Building model. Mayan style arches cover the side aisles. The arrangement of this hall is very much like the layout of a cathedral.

This build is a large castle/landscape display featuring The Knights of the Black Falcon and The Forest Guard.

First and foremost the aim of this build was to showcase what I love about those classic mid-80s Castle sets and specifically my two favourite factions. I have drawn inspiration from the original sets featuring each faction, specifically what I loved about them as a child and aimed to contrast that with what appeals to me as an adult builder.

The build features two fortresses side by side, Falkenholt Castle, the fortress of the Knights of the Black Falcon and an underground network of caves and tunnels that comprise the fortress of the Forest Guard.

Some of the elements that I am most happy with in this build are the level of detail and texture, the cross-section style cutaway on the edges of the build showing the internal structure of the castle as well as the geological layers of rock, clay and soil.

I'm so proud to present you one of my personal MOC, designed by me and nobody else! :)

This is the faithful model of the Cathedral of Trani, my hometown in Puglia (Italy).

The scale is very similar to the one of Lego Architecture style, as usual.

I designed it in Studio before, and in the end I also managed to build it, with the important help (and tolerance!) of my wife Malwina! :*

This one has been done in media form, as an old BBC TV serial. Most of my direct inspiration comes from the illustrations in the book.

In April 2008, I completely rebuilt my Lego model of Detroit's David Stott Building (1929) to make it more accurate. The model now has 37 floors just like the prototype. I reduced the height of each floor by 1 brick to achieve more realistic proportions. This is my 2nd tallest Lego skyscraper as of 2008.

This LEGO creation is merely a model of the entrance way to a very large mansion (88,000 square feet) in Rochester, Michigan. I built this as part of a feasibility study for constructing the entire Meadow Brook Hall in 1/50 scale (approximately minifig scale). This model is 10.5 inches high and includes a minifig for scale. The entire mansion, if modeled in this scale, would be roughly in the shape of a "Y" (when viewed from above) almost 6 feet across and over 1 foot high in places.

A picture I took of the actual entrance to Meadow Brook Hall.

By the way of change once again a smaller one: 129 pcs!

Whitebrick Sand House is characterized by straight lines, glass and sandy colours. Placed in desertlike environment, yet close to civilization. Somewhere to relax.

These buildings are based on certain architectural elements found in NYC. Especially the fire escape in front, a corner deli and neighborhood restaurants.

This is the 21002 set of Lego Architecture series, but I preferred that one designed for New York Skyline set (21028), too. So I mixed both sets to create this my personal MOC for my collection of architectural landmarks! :)

A view looking past the Detroit Public Library and Larry and Josette's buildings toward the Penobscot block.

The MichLTC display runs from November 27, 2009 to January 3, 2010 in conjunction with the LEGO Castle Adventure exhibit at The Henry Ford.

This is the consolidation of Lego sets 40178, 40305, 60097, and 5005358 into one Modular Building Lego Store.

First floor includes the pick a brick wall, the "Cash Wrap," shelves of product, and other displays. The Second floor has additional shelves of products and displays. The Third floor holds the Manager's office area, the stock room, the employee's bathroom, and the minifig factory assembly station. All 4 sets are represented within the building, plus I grabbed a couple of additional parts from 31081 Skate House, (the black 4x3x1 frame for the trap door on the roof, and the printed 2x2x1 graffiti Dk red brick).
