Lüneburg aus LEGO© – Harbor Area

medieval house inspired by the digital artist Guillaume Tavernier (aka De architectura). it was very fun making this really unusual house design where I was able to use many different techniques.

House of Three is a contemporary Scandinavian family home. I've tried to catch contemporary Scandinavian architecture in colours, floor plan and roof design. The interior and furniture in inspired by IKEA and other Scandinavian designs. Comfortable living suitable for a small family.

✍️ This vast sum was put forth in the writings of Plutarch and would have weighed as much as 1.3 million lbs! ⚖️

🙌 Likewise, no expense was spared in my interpretation of the rooftop, which uses metallic gold elements in a deceptively complex staggered design.

I always had a soft spot for those beautiful Victorian jubilee clocks which were a big inspiration here. The ornamentation is meant to honor the four pillars of the empire: engineering, aviation, seafaring and conquest. I purposely decided to use this „oldschool“ color scheme with only primary colors, black, white and grey to highlight its historic significance (in Lego terms of course).

Stato della Città del Vaticano, or Vatican City State, is an independent city-state and enclave within Rome, belonging to the Holy See. With a total population of about 825 and a land area of 49 hectares (121 acres), it is the smallest nation on Earth. As such, it has an economy of its own buoyed by the sale of stamps, coins, medals, and souvenirs as well as museum admission fees. In terms of utilities, the country has its own pharmacy, post office, super-market, train station, and radio transmission center. While its borders are well-defined, there are no passport controls for entry to Vatican City - perhaps best exhibited by the fact that St. Peter’s Square and Basilica are freely accessible to the public.

Despite the state’s well-defined contemporary boundaries, the Holy See’s territorial extents were anything but well-defined across the breadth of the Middle Ages up until the twentieth century. As with much of Europe, the Italian peninsula splintered into numerous disparate and often confrontational factions following the gradual collapse of the Western Roman Empire in the fifth century CE. For more than a thousand years thereafter, popes assumed a secular leadership role over the Papal States. This swath of territory under the control of the Holy See ebbed and flowed in size throughout centuries of great upheaval and relative instability compared to the eras of widespread peace during the Pax Romana and the post-WWII order of today. At their zenith, the Papal States encompassed much of a handful of modern Italian regions including Lazio, Marche, Umbria, Romagna, and parts of Emilia.

As a consequence of the rising tide of nationalism throughout nineteenth-century Europe, the Papal States were conquered by the Kingdom of Italy in 1861. By 1870, the Lazio region and Rome itself had also been conquered during the reunification effort, leaving the Pope with no recognized territories beyond St. Peter’s Basilica, the Papal Apartments, and various other buildings amidst the Vatican quarter of Rome. The popes’ sequestration within the walls of the Vatican created the “Prisoner in the Vatican” problem, which was eventually addressed in the Lateran Pacts of 1929. These pacts between the Kingdom of Italy under Benito Mussolini and the Holy See under Pope Pius XI recognized the contiguous territories of the Vatican, granting the Holy See “full ownership, exclusive dominion, and sovereign authority and jurisdiction” over the newly created Vatican City State.

My mum wanted a Christmas House for her little scene she and my sister built.

In order for it to be done in time for Christmas, I had to rush it near the end so it's far from perfect, but I still like its overall design.

The design for the central facade of the Imperial citadel on Vardos is complete! It stands an impressive 33 inches right now and it still will be going higher!

A build based on a vision of a sustainable and modern home close to nature.

Green Rock House is divided into Three parts connected by hinges and technic pins. The roof of each level can be removed easily.

The house has full interior with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, Music corner, bathroom and gym.

This is my LEGO observatory. The dome structure can rotate 360 degrees. The flat roof and dome can be removed to see the inside.

A modern tree house inspired by a house by A.Masow Architects. About 4500 bricks. Computer rendering but only existing bricks/colors were used. Reference images.

With this building I wanted to create a single-color house and instead of colors using a lot of structure on the facade. The building can be opened at the back and when fully opened, the two parts of the back expands the facade on the front and it becomes a 64 studs wide building. On the ground floor there is an architecture office and above that a large apartment. About 9700 bricks. Computer rendering but only existing bricks/colors were used.

The rule of TV seems to be that every show needs to have a Christmas episode at some point. I guess this is what’s going on here… ;-)

Merry Christmas to all you builders out there who’s builds have been inspirational presents each and every day for the past years as well as to everyone who takes interest in what I’ve been doing here.

The „Full Steam 2“ series with LOTS of new builds will be my present under YOUR trees. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

This is one of the reasons I mostly do digital builds. I do not have enough bricks in the colors I want to use. 😂 This is a brick built version in plastic of the two townhouses I published a couple days ago.

Here we are! Maybe this is my most difficult MOC I ever did! Saint Basil's Cathedral in Moscow!

I'm honest, I had two different inspirations: one was a model found on Bricklink, designed by Jacob Harper, but the most important one was Markus Rollbühler's MOC, which has always fascinated me for its amazing techniques!

The latter, moreover, was so kind to reveal me some secret techniques used in his MOC for the domes! Thank you Markus! :)

However, as you can see, my MOC is also different from the former MOCs: it maintains the dimensions typical of Architecture series, but the most difficult part was to find the correct pieces in the correct available colors...

And talking about my techniques: I'm not so crazy and skilled like Markus! :P

The front of the citadel is taking shape!

The third LEGO skyscraper goes up in Wasabi District! At just over 3 feet tall and over 5000 pieces, this 10-storey building is the first office skyscraper in Wasabi District!

Singel 166 is a canal house in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It is one of the narrowest houses in Amsterdam and the front facade is only 1.80 meters wide. This large scale Lego model is made of about 16000 bricks. Width is about 100 cm and height is about 90 cm. Some bricks have been chosen in colors that are not currently available to make the final result look more like the real building. Computer rendering.

Brookside Mansion

I am very proud to unveil my most challenging work to date, The Brookside Mansion! The mansion was originally constructed in 1889 by the industrialist John H. Bass. It now serves as the administration building for the University of Saint Francis, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration acquired the building in 1944 and converted it into a university. Originally the mansion was the only building to house the university but, as the university campus grew, it served in many roles and, as mentioned, now serves as the administration building.

In 2009, the Sisters began a restoration of the building and did an breath taking job of bringing it back to its original glory while modernizing it where needed.

It is truly a spectacular architectural delight and a dream design for any LEGO designer. I was truly honoured to be chosen for such a monumental task.
