Perseverance is an original sci-fi ship creation and designated as a Battlecruiser. The ship draws inspiration from many sci-fi designs including: the Daedalus (Stargate), Nostromo (Alien), Bengal-class (Wing Comdr/Star Citizen), Truman-class (The Expanse), Pegasus (Battlestar Galactica), Forward onto Dawn (Halo) and many others

Some key design notes:

- Hard sci-fi rules: No shields; ballistic based weapons only(rail guns, missiles/torpedos, and PDCs)

- No artificial gravity, no FTL drive: ship environment is zero G when not accelerating/decelerating; relies on massive accelerating/decelerating chemical rocket engines and maneuvering thrusters distributed around center of weight

- Realistic automation and AI tech level: minimally crewed (200-300 sailors and officers with 100 marines); not a troop carrier and does not carry air wing of “fighters” besides unmanned repair drones and surface shuttles

- Carries and supplies its own battle group of screening ships (2 large destroyers and 3 destroyer escorts); the screeners can all be docked (externally and internally) with the mothership while not in combat to conserve fuel and conceal strength

- Not designed for atmospheric flight: no unnecessary decorative wings or stabilizers

All connections and colors in this build are designed to be buildable with physical bricks. Ship is designed in 1:200 scale.

My end goal and hope is to convey a design that blends “the rule of cool” with a sense of realism and feasibility (i.e a ship that could be built in 5-10 generations). All suggestions and critiques are highly appreciated!

It is refreshing to design something other than buildings. This will be a very special commission so I will taking my time with it trying to get it just right :)

My custom Destroyer Droid with deflector shield, built for our @darktimesgroup Antolus l collab displayed at @_bricktastic 2024.

The story takes place in the early days of the Empire, and pirates take over some CIS equipment, which they are using against the Empire

I made the driod with the shield last october, after I discovered that the 8x8 dome pieces in trans blue. These are almost perfect for my droideka build, but I didn’t got to use it in any MOCs since then. The whole aesthetic of the collab, with the black round bases and raised terrain worked well to hide the connection points of the dome pieces. I also added LED lights under the shield, which gave a nice glow to the whole thing as a perfect finishing touch.

And upon closer inspection of the text Vanessa Shadowmoon discovered an entirely different world hiding beneath the surface of the words. It was then she became breathless, close to tears, and positively dizzy with wonder...

The Wierwood wood walls finsihed! Now just lots of detail work and thousands of pages on instructions to write lol.

DKM Admiral Graf Spee, scale 1:155

Called pocket battleship by the Brits, the Admiral Graf Spee was a Panzerschiff, started construction in the republic of Weimar. Due to the restrictions of the Versailles Treaty, the germany put battleship main artillerie on a ship of the size of a heavy cruiser. It was sunk by its own crew in 1939 after a battle against multiple british cruisers near the cost of Montevideo.

The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausführung B Tiger II, scale: 1:24.

Size: 44,1×16,5×15,4 cm

Starting production in 1943 the Tiger II was armed with one of the most powerful tank guns of the war, the 8,8cm KwK 43 L/71. Also featured with a great amount of armor for its time, the Tiger II is to this day one of the heaviest tanks of all time with 69 tonnes. Even the modern Leopard 2 A7V weights only ~65 tonnes, making the Tiger II even heavier but because of lack of modern composit armor, why less protected.

The heavy weight was also its biggest problem. Using the same Maybach HL230 engine with 700 HP, the Tiger II was a very slow vehicle having ptoblems in difficult terrain.
