Almost finished with the porch :) Just have to clean a few gaps and work on the internal structure a bit.
I thought this was going to be a very tough section to do, but it went rather smooth, although there was a lot of geometry to figure to create the right shapes.

The first render of a project I am very excited about, the Imperial City of Vardos. This design is being commissioned and built by Solid Bricks Productions and will be shown at a convention in the United States this year.
This project will be a huge 4x6 city including a courtyard (as seen), citadel, landing pad, AT-AT hanger and much more. I can't wait for the final result it will be epic!

The only german aircraft carrier ever built which got never finished. Captured by the Soviets the ship and tested bombs and other explosion devices on her, she sank at the 18th of June 1947 in the Baltic Sea.

width: 35.2 studs/ 281 mm
piece count: 14295 (without airplanes)

Called pocket battleship by the Brits, the Admiral Graf Spee was a Panzerschiff, started construction in the republic of Weimar. Due to the restrictions of the Versailles Treaty, the germany put battleship main artillerie on a ship of the size of a heavy cruiser. It was sunk by its own crew in 1939 after a battle against multiple british cruisers near the cost of Montevideo.

Ten years ago today, I started an account on Flickr with the 365 Toy Project, starring "Benny Bricks". He's from the 2008 Green Grocer modular set, but his name I made up. ;) I've been creating things (drawing pictures, making movies, building Lego) for as long as I can remember, but Feb. 28, 2010 was the first time I began to share my creations online. Ten years ago, I never thought I would be doing the same thing today, but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm still doing it ten years from now and beyond. Easily one of the hardest things to pull off in Lego is a dome. I worked on a few concepts this morning and this is the best of them so far. Lots of gaps to fill, but the fit and shape are correct. I don't want to go with too many off the wall techniques as I want to keep this buildable by the public.

on the first floor is a huge foyer dominated by the massive spiral staircases, volcanic feature, and huge supporting columns. For scale you can see two Storm troopers standing at their guards stations.

Been working on a modernized USS Missouri (last configuration, Operation Desert Storm ~1990s). In addition to the changes listed, significant portions of the front and aft decks and superstructure have been altered as well. I really enjoyed the rebuilding process and learned a lot about the modernization efforts along the way.
With the help of Shuri, Groot was able to find a way back into space. He was set on a route to Knowhere, where the Guardians may have been. But for some reason he was taken somewhere else...
I wonder where Groot will end up? What do you think?

It was 7 minutes past the time to go home. The dog was not running or asleep, and neither was the dog dead, but he did sit and watch. It was the red bike that was dead, I mean...there was no garden fork in the dog—none at all—but there was garden fork in the man's tyre. The man had a tear in his eye.

Finished what I think are two of the most complicated sections in this design. The roof peak and the balcony had so many details on angled surfaces it took all my tricks to figure out how to fit it all in.

Phew 3rd times charm! I was given another helping hand by Colin Lang and directed to a sculpting tutorial. That gave my the insight I needed to get the body proportions right. Just goes to show how much LEGO does overlap with other visual arts.
Now onto the howdah after I do some housekeeping and make sure all the connections are sound.
