Happy thanksgiving! The Iowa(s) have arrived! For those who have been following my WIP stories on instagram - I know I’ve kept you waiting and thank you for your patience!
The four Iowa class ships, Iowa (61), New Jersey (62), Missouri (63) and Wisconsin (64) need no introduction - they are icons of engineering and synonymous to modern American naval history. I was nervous to tackle this project as I cannot afford to mess up her easily recognizable proportions, especially the elongated bow and her unmistakably thiccc stern. I chose to represent the late WWII configuration (~1944) of the lead ship(BB-61) here with the added AA mounts and no camo (I believe this is what she looked like when she was ferrying FDR, chasing the Japanese decoy fleet at Leyte and accompanying the mighty Mo at Japan’s surrender. This will serve as a template for me to build all her classmates as well as her modernizations (with Tomahawk cruise missiles and everything ) which I cannot wait.
I very much look forward to sharing more renderings and building techniques in the coming weeks!

This model is my Porsche 918 LEGO replica. It features custom taillights and wheelcaps to reassemble the Porsche 918 iconic wheels. It’s build out of roughly 1000 LEGO pieces, is about 30 cm in length and weights about 1kg.
The design:
Tmodel I already designed and shown before a couple months ago. However this version features a dark brown interior and has a small change to the rear.

About the small change:
If you can notice I put the sides of the rear 0,5 plates down to make it align perfectly with the bodywork and make the top be able to feature a wedge part. The rear now has an even better curved and shaped 🍑😜

This 32x32 bignette was a part of the WindyCityLUG Home On A Hill (HOAH) project - a seed part challenge to build a microscale environment using the Baseplate, Raised 32 x 32 Canyon.
It all culminated in a premiere event at a member's cookie party where all were displayed for the first time. Everyone did such a great job and brought a unique flavor to all of their builds. Mine is a futuristic urban life on Neptune.
Completed in Dec. 2019. Nominated for Best Microscale at Brickworld Chicago 2022.
My latest commission project finished, the walls of Minas Tirith. This was designed to be playset scale and will be the centerpiece of a large battle scene.

My updated custom pirate AAT tank, built for our @darktimesgroup Antolus l collab displayed at @_bricktastic 2024.
The story takes place in the early days of the Empire, and pirates take over some Trade Federation equipment, which they are using against the Empire.
I wanted to include as many of my own vehicle builds to this collaboration as possible, so I definitely wanted to use my existing AAT(s). As most people like it more and it fits the aesthetic of the collab better, we decided to use the tan, Trade Federation version.
The plan was to convert the clean original vehicle to a more weathered, older looking model, modified by the pirates. Since I only had the CIS colored version built before (2 of that), I had to build it from the ground up, based on my instructions.
There was some places tho, which I wasn’t happy with or felt outdated. So before actual building I changed parts in the design, like the main barrel and it’s attachment point, the side guns and also the big bottom dish part. Now I’m really happy with the whole design, more on that later…
Weathering and making the small additions was also really fun. I had some real military photos in mind as inspiration, like the machine gun on top at the hatch, the bags hanging on the turret, the rollbars and additional armor plates.
A new form of arcane art was discovered in the year 1256 by Thaddeus Saphiniarc and Ariella Silvermoon. They gave it the name Ice Harmonics, where the aether of ice and the fibria of air were melded in a swirl of esoteric mischief to produce very high pitched sonic symphonies.
Moving on up! Got the second story started :D
I see I am going to have to go back through the tower and give it come more texture to match the other walls.

The only german aircraft carrier ever built which got never finished. Captured by the Soviets the ship and tested bombs and other explosion devices on her, she sank at the 18th of June 1947 in the Baltic Sea.

The first render of a project I am very excited about, the Imperial City of Vardos. This design is being commissioned and built by Solid Bricks Productions and will be shown at a convention in the United States this year.
This project will be a huge 4x6 city including a courtyard (as seen), citadel, landing pad, AT-AT hanger and much more. I can't wait for the final result it will be epic!

Ten years ago today, I started an account on Flickr with the 365 Toy Project, starring "Benny Bricks". He's from the 2008 Green Grocer modular set, but his name I made up. ;) I've been creating things (drawing pictures, making movies, building Lego) for as long as I can remember, but Feb. 28, 2010 was the first time I began to share my creations online. Ten years ago, I never thought I would be doing the same thing today, but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm still doing it ten years from now and beyond. Called pocket battleship by the Brits, the Admiral Graf Spee was a Panzerschiff, started construction in the republic of Weimar. Due to the restrictions of the Versailles Treaty, the germany put battleship main artillerie on a ship of the size of a heavy cruiser. It was sunk by its own crew in 1939 after a battle against multiple british cruisers near the cost of Montevideo.

Almost finished with the porch :) Just have to clean a few gaps and work on the internal structure a bit.
I thought this was going to be a very tough section to do, but it went rather smooth, although there was a lot of geometry to figure to create the right shapes.
