Wishing you all a very happy Sunday!!!
When I saw this stairway with this golden light, the song "Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin came immediately across my mind.
"Stairway To Heaven"- lyrics:
There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.
There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.
There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.
And it's whispered that soon, if we all call the tune,
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long,
And the forests will echo with laughter.
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.
Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind?
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul...

Whew, what a relief! The last of my spoon series :) Just kidding, I really enjoyed doing it. Hope you enjoyed viewing them.
I'm sure many of you can figure out where the title of this image comes from. If not, well, here it is:
The spoon is sitting on a music sheet - Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven. Multi coloured fairy lights are in the background.
Shot with Oreston 50mm and 12mm Kenko extension tube.
#6 of spoon series.
I took this photo of Robert Plant on June 10, 1977 at Madison Square Garden, NYC. Back then I was able to talk my way towards the stage and fire off a few shots with my trusty Minolta 35mm film camera.
Cartagena, famed haunt of Spaniards and pirates. or in this case an Asian sim that three editing programs later gave me a weird take on the 'Physical Graffiti' cover.
On our recent stroll in Old Montreal, I couldn't help but notice that the back of this building had a striking resemblance to the cover of Led Zeppelin's "Physical Graffiti".
Who knows, maybe this is Stu about to Boogie :-)

"And a new day will dawn for those who stand long... And THE FORESTS WILL ECHO WITH LAUGHTER..."
A relaxed portrait of my friend Robert Plant just hanging out on the zero gravity chair in my living room, talking about the good old days. Remembering the roots of Rock and Roll.
Many dreams come true
And some have silver linings
I live for my dream
And a pocketful of gold.
Mellow is the man
Who knows what he's been missing
Many many men
Can't see the open road.

More daisies! I have a bunch of daisy pictures, hope that you don't get tired of them!
Straight out of the camera.
A lovely day out at Hatton Locks... beautiful day, in every way!
Locally known as the "Stairway to Heaven".
When they opened in 1799 the Hatton locks were a part of the Warwick and Birmingham canal, and much of the traffic was locally mined coal on its way to the Black Country, later it became a major part of the network moving goods from the Midlands to London. Today it is part of the Grand Union canal.
The Hatton locks contain 21 locks in less than 2 miles. This is only part of the stairway...more to go! :o)
As usual....music!!! Couldn't resist!
Worked for thirty years
Sharing hopes and fears
Dreamin' of the day
He could turn and say
Poor Tom, work's done,
Been lazin' out in the noonday sun ...
I can weld everything but the crack of dawn and a broken heart ...

Corría el año 73, con lo cual como ya imaginaréis no pude tomar estas fotos, pero sirvan de tributo, y a ver cómo se muestra la comparación en un escenario en el 2007 !
