This week's theme for Macro Monday is "Abstract" which promised to be lots of fun to play with!
For me the most interesting material to experiment with was glass.
So I chose a green rectangular vase with a lively profile shape at the edges which I thought would make interesting abstract forms, an old wine glass with a rippled surface, and a pink glass candle holder with a copper foot for the most abstract of the images.
It sure was fun! Thank you, dear Moderators :)

...und natürlich mit so einem bezaubernden Model. Auch Denise hat noch nie vor einer Kamera gestanden.
This simple light box set up is about as high tech as I get. Right now it's on the dining room table, because I needed to be downstairs the other day. It folds up like an art folder, to include pockets for the lights and table top tripod.....comes as a set. I've also posted the finished shot from this set up.

Tbilisi is the capital and largest city of Georgia, situated in the eastern part of the country on the banks of the Kura River. With a rich history spanning over 1,500 years, Tbilisi has been shaped by numerous cultures and civilizations over the centuries. The old part of Tbilisi, known for its charming architecture and unique atmosphere, is one of the most captivating areas of the city. In contrast, the Peace Bridge is a strikingly modern architectural marvel and one of Tbilisi’s most recognizable landmarks. Completed in 2010, the bridge was designed by Italian architect Michele de Lucchi, with lighting by French designer Philippe Martinaud. It spans the Kura River, connecting the old town with the newer districts, and serves as an important pedestrian route and a symbol of the city. The bridge’s design is particularly remarkable, featuring a glass canopy that curves gracefully over the walkway. Often compared to a giant glass wave or a sea creature, the canopy is made of steel and glass and is illuminated at night by thousands of LED lights. Ok I cheated a little bit with this shot, I took several shots and merged them together…phew….so glad I got that off my chest…lol
Before I even got my stuff ready to go with this shot the model had this pose ready and I was like wow, I tried a few things as I really like the pose and it got a bit OTT and I think sometime keeping it simple is the best thing to do, so I just outlined her pose instead. Like the previous shot I used a small LED light underneath the camera to light the model up.
In post I decreased the shadows and blacks, once I merged the rest of the images in PS I added a few light leaks from other images I took just to add a bit more dimension to the image.
