This weeks theme in "52 weeks of 2016" is "Astro/nightphotography.
In the beginning of the week I had plans to do a starttrails image. This failed for me for two reasons:
1. Cloudy skies all week
2. A project at work with deadline this week forced me to work 14 to 15 hours each day
So when you hear telling of 6 hour work days in Sweden it's not true....
Our normal workdays are 8 hours and for some of us workdays can become much much longer (my record is from sunday at lunch to wednesday morning... many years ago).
For this reason I decided to fake some startrails with the net of LED lights on our balcony...
Hand lighting exercise shot during a f18 long exposure with some rather nice LED tools that enabled some really delicate light to be delivered without hot spot over-exposure. I have some great artificial light sources hidden in my toolbox that I really don't use often enough.

He got spotlights in his eyes and is incredibly fast with scrathing and mixing the music you love!

Studio stacking of a found dead Opsilia coerulescens ( 8mm without antennas) .This specimen was recolected a month ago in a fountain surrounded by trees near my house , a very good site to found dead insects in relatively good condition , as in this case.The biggest problem here was trying to "comb his hair" in a natural position so that utilizes a small dryer , a toothbrush and a lot of patience.
Shooting info: Studio stack of 78 pictures taken with a 7dmk2 + reversed Konica hexanon 40mm mounted in a fully extended Pentax bellows and little extension tube at v=3.2s ; f=5.6 ; iso 100 .Lighting with 2 Ikea led lamps and a white cilinder paper around the subject.
Processing with Zerene stacker in 2 different piles. Using Dmap mode with some retouching in Pmax.

This simple light box set up is about as high tech as I get. Right now it's on the dining room table, because I needed to be downstairs the other day. It folds up like an art folder, to include pockets for the lights and table top tripod.....comes as a set. I've also posted the finished shot from this set up.
This was taken at the mall. The ceiling is decorated with LED lights. I was glad that I noticed it. Lol.

It's a Chamilla rope bracelet and these are just some of the Chamilla charms I have. When I wear this it is often on a special occasion which leads me to the empty bottle of Edinburgh Gin, one of my favourite drinks. This bottle is currently filled with LED lights which give it a perfect way to show my bracelet off.

I found this vintage Sankyo Super 8 film camera in a charity shop for very cheap, I don't know yet whether it's working or not, but if it is I will try and film something with it one day.
