Although no significant accumulation of snow, we did get some recent snow flurries in the past couple of days.
I was sitting and daydreaming last night, trying to think of an image to take. I then went upstairs and saw these lights which I've had for years, and then spent the next hour with them trying to produce a half decent image! Did I succeed? Thats for someone else to decide......

Wednesday is my one year anniversary to photography. It all started out with this photoshoot with one of my very best friends, Katherine.
Shortly after this my teacher introduced me to the photography contest which I got 2nd in for this picture, from the same shoot. And it was then that things really pushed forward. If it wasn't for him showing me that contest, and me winning, I probably would not be here on Flickr, sharing what I do. That whole feeling of knowing that I actually took a half decent photo went a long way. He was the one who told me which one to submit. He was the one who explained why and taught me about the elements.
So thank you Mr. Fusco, you were an amazing teacher, and if anything, a great mentor into photography. I miss being in your class, and I really wish we got to talk more often, I'm sure you remember how I used to get excited about showing you my new photos!
And thank you Katherine, you are amazing, wonderful, the sweetest thing ever, and I miss you more than you know♥
I promise I will do another Christmas lights photoshoot soon!

This old tram shelter was built in January 1893 and was restored in 2015. The last trams to run in Huddersfield were in June 1940.
Caught this car with its flashy LED lights in the rain during the recent storms in Sydney. Dedicated to all the Pluviophiles out there!! 😊

My second attempt at this picture - with camera as opposed to phone. Better resolution and sharper. iPhone’s take great pictures but they struggle with night landscape.

You probably (and hopefully) saw the video version of this I had posted some time back. I was in the same position, but for the video the HD image cropped part of the top and bottom of this same frame.
As I had said before, I'm not sure if it was the wisest choice to take a perfectly good classic 1950s Ford and add LED lights on it. The image suggests a science fiction movie set in some alternate universe that emphasizes 1950s designs.
For my sweet Aunt, a LED light with switch in the ballpoint holder.(press on the ballpoint ad the light works, in the light is also a cabochon, The photo is textured with the scheme behind. Thanks for the visit.

This week's theme for Macro Monday is "Abstract" which promised to be lots of fun to play with!
For me the most interesting material to experiment with was glass.
So I chose a green rectangular vase with a lively profile shape at the edges which I thought would make interesting abstract forms, an old wine glass with a rippled surface, and a pink glass candle holder with a copper foot for the most abstract of the images.
