Tried photographing this early in the morning. Although the morning temperature was -13˚C, the micro climate on my balcony was at -2˚C, and the bubble would not freeze. Unfortunately I had to wait until the evening when everything finally cooled down to start experimenting. After an hour the batteries were dying, and I could no longer feel my fingers, so it was time to pack things up. One of the better results, but not totally happy with the results.
I had to walk into town to the hospital to have a Aortic Aneurysm Screening so I took my camera with me. Yellow filter on camera.

I made this photo in 2014, downloaded it today. These are all LED lights. These lights! Not easy to capture at night. Of all my many attempts, this is the only photo I kept. I have wondered if this photo was worthy to share, so here it is.
Vitruvian Park is located in Addison, Texas and the light show is still an active event.

In Winter, days are so short that it is dark when you try to take your bicycle to work and also when you bike home... I need these lights to actually find the bike at the garden :-)
Many people were walking along the Millennium Bridge as can be seen in the foreground on the right, but one person was in the same position for a long time. He was probably being photographed or watching his partner taking photos. The 20 second exposure did not capture all the other people unless they stood still or moved slowly.
This was a social walk for some members of Windsor Photographic Society. We were doing the illuminated river . London.

We started at Waterloo Bridge and worked our way down along the Thames to finally reach Tower Bridge to get night shots of the illuminated bridges. So many things to capture but was great fun with an extra session on an island in the middle of the road doing buses passing each other over Tower Bridge.
Thanks to Malcolm who organised the event which about 8 folks made it.
This image was using either ReeXpose App or ReeHeld App
but was tricky as people were walking fast or running at times which made the bridge jump up and down not ideal for the tripod !! The iPhone 13 Pro Max and app were set for 20 seconds exposure at ISO 1000, aperture f/1.5 focal length 5.7mm and processed in Lightroom Classic.
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating and stay safe! ❤️❤️❤️

I was sitting and daydreaming last night, trying to think of an image to take. I then went upstairs and saw these lights which I've had for years, and then spent the next hour with them trying to produce a half decent image! Did I succeed? Thats for someone else to decide......

Nights in White Salmon...
oops, that is white satin I guess!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l59IPomH7Q&feature=related
so there I was, outside on the porch at home in White Salmon, with my gorillapod, playing with shots of these leaves on the railing... when I aimed my little blueish LED light at the leaf to help focus, and it looked purty! so there we go.
Disclaimer: No leaves were placed or harmed in the shooting of these photos

What's the most difficult thing about photographing complementary colors? -> Photographing complementary colors.
It's still very challenging for me. I tell you, mastering this.. is high art.
I'm currently spending time in educating myself on light setting in film. The why, the wherefore, and especially the how. Gear is important, but the best equipment does not guarantee good results.
It takes a lot more than that. Sometimes it's better not having everything you need for a photograph. Because:
"Restrictions sometimes can conjure really great ideas, that provide solutions. Necessity is the mother of invention." (David Lynch)

As bright as bright can be.
We all enjoy our Vegemite
For breakfast, lunch, and tea.
Our mother says we're growing
stronger every single week.
Because we love our Vegemite.
We all adore our Vegemite.
It puts a rose in every cheek!
Come on all you Aussies you know the tune LOL .....
No ... not my usual flowers ... something completely out of left field. My photography assignment is 5 images that portray "What it means to be Australian" ..... so one of the photos is on vegemite .... nothing says more about growing up in Australia than vegemite ....
Inspired by Tio and his painting with light (although I'm sure that this is not what he had in mind ) I've just put my spin on it .... I had an absolute blast doing this .... so many shots trying to get it the centre, trying to get it so you can read it, trying to finish it in the 15seconds.... so much fun .... so thank you my flickr friend Tio for pushing me into the unknown ... :)
Trying to create a snowy and icy window is a bit tricky here, in the UK, where it's currently drizzling (again)! Frost effect is created by painting on a super-saturated solution of Epsom salts in water and letting it dry — it forms lovely crystalline forms very similar to actual frost. The snow is then bicarbonate of soda dusted on with a teaspoon! 3 separate shots are combined, a 'natural' only lit shot, then a candlelit shot and finally the LED light strand. LED lights are wonderfully cheap and adaptable but give a horrible green colour cast unless shot as a separate layer and heavily colour corrected.
