This is either a Freightliner 108SD or 114SD setback 5 axle flatbed semi truck with a tractor mounted Palfinger crane. (The SD stands for severe duty). I'm guessing this was a private crew doing contract work for PG&E. The roof mounted LED warning lights on this truck are super bright. Photographed and filmed by me in Livermore, CA - this short clip is the 1st video I have uploaded to my Flickr acct. I photographed this box van ambulance in San Jose. Amazingly enough the Chevy Express van, which was originally introduced in 1996 along with its GMC Savannah twin, continues to exist through model year 2020 as both a cargo & passenger van. Its styling has remained unchanged since 2003.

Action Towing 2011-2018 Ram 4500/5500 flatbed tow truck. This parade takes place each October in San Leandro, CA. Be sure to Slow Down & Move Over for all tow trucks or other emergency vehicles parked alongside the road assisting motorists.

Both of these CDF-Cal Fire trucks are older 1989-2001 International 4000 series, Model 14 or 15 Type III wildland fire engines. Seen here responding Code 3 to the scene of the Applegate Wildfire. They are driving in the emergency lane on I80 north of Sacramento. I took these shots through the rearview mirror of my car, I flipped these photos around so you don't see the trucks backwards. Both of these engines have a newer LED lightbar and after market reflector optic LED headlights.

This K9 unit has alot more ground clearance than most other Tahoe's so it either has GM's Z71 off-road package or a suspension lift kit. I usually detest clear LED lightbars but this one with the blacked out top looks quite good.

Seen in Belfast City Centre, on the scene of an incident at Castle Court shopping centre.

Volkswagen Passat Estate Armed Response Vehicle.
One man in his twenties was arrested by police. I'm not sure of the reason why but it must have been serious, given the amount of police that were on scene.

2007-2014 Chevy Tahoe SSV (Special Service Vehicle package) photographed in Reno. I removed the shopping center background from 3 of these pics. This is the most basic version Chevy offered at the time with fog light deleted front bumper.
Photographed in San Jose, CA. I definitely like the graphics on this van but it would look much better if has a Red lens lightbar instead of this clear lens one in front.
These are some more shots that I took back in October 2014 when I80 eastbound got completely shut down due to a large brush fire.
Due to the angle that I took this picture from I can't tell if this is a 4900 SF set-forward or SB set-back axle tractor. I suspect this is a SF model.

A good afternoon photographing for Lightbar UK with their Mondeo RRV and a plain 1 Series BMW unmarked vehicle.
Plenty of kit on both vehicles and the top bar on the BMW just for this picture.
