Four red LEDs in a plus pattern (soldered at the middle to each other) suspended by 25-lb test fishing line powered by 2 AA batteries.
The LED globe consists of 50 LEDs controlled by a microcontroller and three LED drivers. The controller through SPI interface with the drivers lights ON and OFF the LEDs as the system spins fast enough to create the illusion of 3D graphics. As before I designed the board from scratch and programmed the controller.
