My journey goes there, and that is why it leads away from men and events into solitude.
Is it solitude, to be with oneself? Solitude is true only when the self is a desert.”

Reaching High Leads
How would you get to a mysterious black hole, called a “lead” by cavers, high above your head? In 1982, three cavers used helium balloons! During the first trials, they floated fishing line up toward the hole, They hoped to snag one of the three stalagmites on the ledge (look up) called the Three Monkeys, but the line kept breaking. After many attempts with a parachute cord to pull up a climbing rope, the trembling explorers slowly scaled the rope to views never before seen by humans. The passage they discovered and named the Balloon Ballroom only went 30 feet (9 m) before ending.

Macro of kiddy coloured pencils. Taken on a dslr using extension tubes and a 50mm manual lens. Note how shallow the depth of field is even at f22. The light was a small lightbox to the side. I was trying out my new toy which is allows small adjustments when shooting in macro. Not a great shot but it passed half an hour when the telly was rubbish!
