Finaly got round to replacing all the old switches in our server room, for a cool touch we ordered coloured patch leads. Took me a while but managed to get it looking nearly spot on!!

I headed out to Formula D at Wall Speedway today to attend my first drift event. It was a good opportunity to practice panning and see what these drift events were all about. The crowd was insane, the vendors were in full force and the driving was jaw dropping. It was a nice change of pace from the regular VW shows i attend. I'm definitely going to try to make it out to more drift events.

He seemed to be resting and relaxing after a day of hard work XD I sold the wig he is wearing and unfortunately....he needs to travel soon as well. I haven't been giving him much attention since I got him so I think he deserve to go to a better home. For sure Nika will be upset but then I would have extra funds to get her and her sisters stuff. It's been hard to get them anything lately since the msd's has been the priority.

Just a heads-up for any folks owning the 2-head Quadra kit. I've just tried joining a couple of the power leads together to see if it could be done. Happy to say that everything works perfectly, they even lock together via the threated male/female security caps.
I have the optional 3.5mt cable also (pictured) so if it's extra lenght you are after, just join your cables together. Be sure not to lay the cable through wet or damp surface when outside in the elements, not sure how water proof the screw/locks are, and I don't want to find out.
Thought others would find the info useful, if you were not aware of it already.
BN 7205 leads ATSF 5252 across the Mississippi River in St. Cloud, MN with a ballast extra on Sept. 21, 1996. The 7205 has just left the yard on ex-GN trackage and will hit the double track ex-NP on the east side of town. This was back in my second year school at St. Cloud State and I may have started the day eating breakfast at the GN Cafe/Hotel across the street from St. Cloud Yard and saw this guy ready to leave.
I always liked catching ballast trains as they crossed this easy to shoot bridge and they sometimes got some pretty interesting power. On this September morning, pretty run of the mill mainline power on the point, but I guess the BNSF merger duo looks pretty good over 14 years later.

Groudle Glen leads down to this lovely little inlet. The steam railway line ends atop the cliffs to the left. The OS map shows the station as Sea Lion Cove Station. A little more reading and I know that there used to be a zoo here and that the trains on the steam line are cllaed Sea Lion and Polar Bear.
The 5918 leads a westbound past the historic depot at Durand, MI. I'm not sure who the gentleman is to the left. He didn't talk to me and kind of looks like he could be an agent, or a gumshoe, or a rail fan. If somebody saw him today, they'd say he was a terrorist...
First lady Michelle Obama leads a reenactment planting of a Cherry Blossom Tree on the 100th Anniversary of The National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C.
It was March 27, 1912, when First Lady Helen Herron Taft and Viscountess Chinda, wife of the Japanese ambassador, planted the first two trees from Japan on the north bank of the Tidal Basin in West Potomac Park.
For the March 27th 2012 planting First Lady Michelle Obama planted her tree in West Potomac Park, the closest cross streets to this planting location would be Ohio Drive SW at West Basin Drive SW.

MRS. OBAMA: Thank you. Thank you so much, it is a true pleasure to be here on this beautiful, little chilly day. (Laughter.) We planned it. This is the only cold day of the week, and we are here. But I am pleased to be here.
I want to start by thanking Secretary Salazar for that very kind introduction, and for all of his outstanding work as Secretary of the Interior.
I want to thank and recognize Ambassador Fujisaki, as well as Mrs. Fujisaki, who are here today. Thank you all so much, I know you're here somewhere -- oh, you're here. (Laughter.) It's good to see you both. And I want to thank all of you for taking the time to join us for this historic event.
We have come together to celebrate these beautiful cherry blossom trees -- and yes, they were blooming last week. We were so close. (Laughter.) But I think the tree we're planting will -- still has a few blooms, but they are beautiful. And we are here to honor all that they stand for. For so many years, these trees have served as a symbol of the great friendship between the United States and Japan, and as a reminder of our shared hopes, dreams and aspirations.
People from both of our nations worked together for years to bring these trees here to Washington. And over the past century, people of all ages from the U.S. and Japan and so many other nations have come to this Tidal Basin each spring to marvel at their beauty. And year after year, even after the coldest, darkest, stormiest winters, these trees have continued to bloom.
So on this historic anniversary, we don’t just admire the beauty of these trees, we also admire their resilience. And in so doing, we are reminded of the extraordinary resilience of the Japanese people. Over the past year, we have all witnessed their courage, unity and grace as they have come together and begun the very hard work of rebuilding their nation.
And I think that that more than anything else is the lesson that we can learn from these trees. They teach us about all that we can achieve together. And because people from both of our nations came together, this landscape was transformed. And for one hundred years, people from every background and every walk of life have come here to experience, truly, the magic of these trees.
No matter who you are, their beauty stirs our souls. No matter where we’re from, being here among these beautiful blossoms truly lifts our spirits. And that is why we invited all of these wonderful children to join us -- where are the children? There they are. (Applause.) They are here because we want them to learn this lesson as well; we want to pass this lesson onto them. We want to teach them about the great partnership between our nations and what that means for our shared future. We want to teach them to appreciate and learn from the traditions and cultures of others.
And we want them to be inspired by the example of our friends in Japan who have worked so hard and who have been so brave in rebuilding their lives. Because in the end it will be up to them, this next generation, to continue that great friendship. It will be up to them to carry these traditions forward so that one hundred years from now, their children and grandchildren will be able to come here to this very spot and see the tree that we will plant, full grown and in full bloom.
And I hope that on that day, the First Lady –- or the First Gentleman –- of 2112 will also have the privilege of joining with our friends from Japan, and planting another tree which will bloom for yet another one hundred years and beyond.
So with that, I want to once again thank you all for joining us today, and bearing the frigid cold. If you stick around for one more day, it will be 80 tomorrow, I guarantee you. (Laughter.) It's really nice weather here. But we are truly honored to have you here, and it's a pleasure to be able to join in this very special occasion.
And with that, I think it is time for us to plant a tree. (Applause.)

The march capped two days of street corner rallies in Washington Aug. 4-5 where King called for voting rights for the city.
Dr. King predicted that with the voting rights legislation to be signed into law the following day on August 6, by President Johnson, that he hoped to register 900,000 blacks to vote in southern states.
King met with community leaders at Shaw Junior High, attended a fair housing meeting in Arlington, held street corner rallies at Stanton Road and Alabama Avenue SE, 48th St. & Deane Ave NE, 14th & Harvard Streets NW, 9th St. & Rhode Island Ave. NW, 1st & L Streets NW and at the Metropolitan Baptist Church at 1225 R Street NW.
Participants at the Metropolitan Baptist rally marched to Lafayette Park.

TRRA 2001 leads a transfer run back from NS Luther Yard to Madison, Illinois at May Street in St. Louis.
I think this was Terminal Job 102. The track straight to the camera is the former Wabash going to the freight house district of North St. Louis. The crossing track is a TRRA line to the Central and West Belts and would also interchange with the former Rock Island across Missouri.

Ottavio Bottecchia (1894-1927) was the first Italian cyclist to win the Tour de France. With 34 yellow jerseys, Bottecchia stands on a shared 9th place.

1923: Highest placed independent rider in the Giro d'Italia, stage one of the Tour de France (finished second overall)
1924: Tour de France with four stage victories, Giro della Provicia Milano (teamed with Costante Girardengo)

MYSTERIOUS DEATH...
Ottavio Bottecchia was found murdered on June 3, 1927. His skull was broken, but his bike was a short distance away, undamaged. There are many theories about his death, but no strong evidence points reliably to any explanation.
As said, in June 1927 he was found on the side of the road with a severe skull base fracture. His bike was not damaged and stood neatly against a tree. Although Bottecchia could be quickly taken to hospital, he died a few days later at the age of 32.
A wine farmer later confessed on his death bed that he died after he had thrown a sharp stone to Bottecchia when he had caught the cyclist stealing grapes. When he saw who it was he got scared and he put him aside the road...
Skeptics indicate that in June the grapes are not yet ripe and it is also not clever for a cyclist to eat unripe grapes.
An Italian who moved to New York also was also accused of killing the cyclist. He should be commissioned by the mafia.
Finally, the priest who had assisted Bottecchia in his last hours, told in 1973 - again on his death bed - that Bottecchia, who did not hide his socialist sympathies in the Italy from Mussolini, was killed by fascists who were jealous of his successes.

Mehrangarh Fort (Hindi: मेहरानगढ़ का किला) (Sindhi: مهراڻ ڳڙهه‎), located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is one of the largest forts in India. Built around 1460 by Rao Jodha, the fort is situated 125 m above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls. Inside its boundaries there are several palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards. A winding road leads to and from the city below. The imprints of cannonball hits by attacking armies of Jaipur can still be seen on the second gate. To the left of the fort is the chhatri of Kirat Singh Soda, a soldier who fell on the spot defending the Mehrangarh fort.
There are seven gates, which include Jayapol (meaning 'victory'), built by Maharaja Man Singh to commemorate his victories over Jaipur and Bikaner armies. Fattehpol (also meaning 'victory') gate was built by Maharaja Ajit Singh to mark the defeat of the Mughals. The palm imprints upon these still attract much attention it is very proudes for rao rajputs.
Rao is brahmbhatt jagirdar clan of rao jodha. Rao is rajputs and in gujarat they calls "barot" and rao saheb.
The museum in the Mehrangarh fort is one of the most well-stocked museums in Rajasthan. In one section of the fort museum there is a selection of old royal palanquins, including the elaborate domed gilt Mahadol palanquin which was won in a battle from the Governor of Gujarat in 1730. The museum exhibits the heritage of the Rathores in arms, costumes, paintings and decorated period rooms.
HISTORY OF MEHRANGARH
Rao Jodha, the chief of the Rathore clan, is credited with the origin of Jodhpur in India. He founded Jodhpur in 1459 (Jodhpur was previously known as Marwar). He was one of Ranmal's 24 sons became the fifteenth Rathore ruler. One year after his accession to the throne, Jodha decided to move his capital to the safer location of Jodhpur, as the one thousand years old Mandore fort was no longer considered to provide sufficient security.
With the trusted aid of Rao Nara (son of Rao Samra), the Mewar forces were subdued at Mandore. With that, Rao Jodha gave Rao Nara the title of Diwan. With the help of Rao Nara, the foundation of the fort was laid on 1/ May 1459 by Jodha on a rocky hill 9 kilometres to the south of Mandore. This hill was known as Bhaurcheeria, the mountain of birds. According to legend to build the fort he had to displace the hill's sole human occupant, a hermit called Cheeria Nathji, the lord of birds. Upset at being forced to move Cheeria Nathji cursed Rao Jodha with "Jodha! May your citadel ever suffer a scarcity of water!". Rao Jodha managed to appease the hermit by building a house and a temple in the fort very near the cave the hermit had used for meditation, though only to the extent that even today the area is plagued by a drought every 3 to 4 years. Jodha then took an extreme measure to ensure that the new site proved propitious; he buried a man called "Raja Ram Meghwal" alive in the foundations. "Raja Ram Meghwal" was promised that in return his family would be looked after by the Rathores. To this day his descendants still live in Raj Bagh, "Raja Ram Meghwal's" Garden, an estate bequeathed them by Jodha.
Mehrangarh (etymology: 'Mihir' (Sanskrit) -sun or Sun-deity; 'garh' (Sanskrit)-fort; i.e.'Sun-fort'); according to Rajasthani language pronunciation conventions,'Mihirgarh' has changed to 'Mehrangarh'; the Sun-deity has been the chief deity of the Rathore dynasty. Though the fortress was originally started in 1459 by Rao Jodha, founder of Jodhpur, most of the fort which stands today dates from the period of Jaswant Singh of Marwar (1638–78). The fort is located at the centre of the city spreading over 5 kilometres on top of a high hill. Its walls, which are up to 36 metres high and 21 metres wide, protect some of the most beautiful and historic palaces in Rajasthan.
Entry to the fort is gained though a series of seven gates. The most famous of the gates are:
- Jai Pol ("Gate of Victory"), built by Maharaja Man Singh in 1806 to celebrate his victory in a war with Jaipur and Bikaner.
- Fateh Pol, built to celebrate a victory over the Mughals in 1707;
- Dedh Kamgra Pol, which still bears the scars of bombardment by cannonballs;
- Loha Pol, which is the final gate into the main part of the fort complex. Immediately to the left are the handprints (sati marks) of the ranis who in 1843 immolated themselves on the funeral pyre of their husband, Maharaja Man Singh.
Within the fort are several brilliantly crafted and decorated palaces. These include, Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (Flower Palace), Sheesha Mahal (Mirror Palace), Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana. The museum houses a collection of palanquins, howdahs, royal cradles, miniatures, musical instruments, costumes and furniture. The ramparts of the fort house preserved old cannon (including the famous Kilkila), and provided a breath-taking view of the city.

ELEPHANT´S HOWDAHS
The howdahs were a kind of two-compartment wooden seat (mostly covered with gold and silver embossed sheets), which were fastened onto the elephant's back. The front compartment, with more leg space and a raised protective metal sheet, was meant for kings or royalty, and the rear smaller one for a reliable bodyguard disguised as a fly-whisk attendant.
PALANQUINS
Palanquins were a popular means of travel and circumambulation for the ladies of the nobility up to the second quarter of the 20th century. They were also used by male nobility and royals on special occasions.
DAULAT KHANA - TREASURES OF MEHRANGARH MUSEUM
This gallery displays one of the most important and best preserved collections of fine and applied arts of the Mughal period of Indian history, during which the Rathore rulers of Jodhpur maintained close links with the Mughal emperors. It also has the remains of Emperor Akbar.
ARMOURY
This gallery displays a rare collection of armour from every period in Jodhpur. On display are sword hilts in jade, silver, rhino horn, ivory, shields studded with rubies, emeralds and pearls and guns with gold and silver work on the barrels. The gallery also has on display the personal swords of many emperors, among them outstanding historical piece like the Khaanda of Rao Jodha, weighing over 3 kg, the sword of Akbar the Great and the sword of Timur.
PAINTINGS
This Gallery displays colours of Marwar-Jodhpur, the finest example of Marwar paintings.
THE TURBAN GALLERY
The Turban Gallery in the Mehrangarh Museum seeks to preserve, document and display the many different types of turbans once prevalent in Rajasthan; every community, region and festival having had its own head-gear.
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN MEHRANGARH
NATIONAL GEOLOGICAL MONUMENT
The Jodhpur Group - Malani Igneous Suite Contact on which the Mehrangarh Fort has been built has been declared a National Geological Monument by the Geological Survey of India to encourage Geotourism in the country. This unique geological feature is part of the Malani Igenus Suite seen in the Thar desert region, spread over an area of 43,500 km2. This unique geological feature represents the last phase of igneous activity of Precambrian age in the Indian Subcontinent.
THE CHAMUNDA MATAJI TEMPLE
The Chamunda Mataji was Rao Jodha's favorite goddess, he brought her idol from the old capital of Mandore in 1460 and installed her in Mehrangarh (Maa Chamunda was the kul devi of Parihar rulers of Mandore). She remains the Maharaja's and the Royal Family's Isht Devi or adopted goddess and is worshipped by most of Jodhpur's citizens as well. Crowds throng Mehrangarh during the Dussehra celebrations.
2008 STAMPEDE
A human stampede occurred on 30 September 2008, at the Chamunda Devi temple inside of the Mehrangarh Fort, in which 249 people were killed and more than 400 injured.
CULTURE
The fort has musicians performing folk music at the entrance and houses museum, restaurants, exhibitions, and craft bazaars. The fort was one of the filming locations for the 2012 movie The Dark Knight Rises. Principal photography commenced on 6 May 2011.
In 2015, the fort was used to record a collaborative album by musicians including Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur, English composer and Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood, and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. The recording was the subject of a documentary, Junun, by the American directory Paul Thomas Anderson.

Suziette leads Mrs. Smithwell to the basement kitchen where they find the chef busy at work...or at least he makes people think he is busy. They hear Chef E. Ed Rayob mumble some kind of incantation while pouring in a potent solution of some kind of juice.
"It's only cranberry juice," he explained as his visitors entered the kitchen area. "And some spices..." he added, then paused, "and slime from the skin of a snake..."
Mrs. Smithwell was beginning to feel a little queasy, but realized that Suziette had invited her to come and help make this brew better.
"Chef E. Ed Rayob, I want you to meet someone who will help make the supper for our Halloween dinner." Suziette introuced him to Mrs. Smithwell, and at first, he wasn't too sure about allowing a witch into his kitchen, but sensed this woman knew something about cooking.

CN 2033 leads a rescue train with equipment from the North Shore Scenic Railroad. In late September a large washout on the Lakefront Line marooned the NSSR's train in Two Harbors MN. The washout was fixed but CN came to the aid of the NSSR which needed the train back before the washout was repaired. by picking up the equipment. CN hauled the train around the horn from Two Harbors back to Duluth via the Iron Range of Minnesota.
