Ben Loyal (from Scottish Gaelic Beinn Laghail) is an isolated mountain of 764 m in Sutherland, the northwestern tip of the Scottish Highlands. It is a Corbett located south of the Kyle of Tongue, and offers good views of the Kyle, Loch Loyal to the east, and Ben Hope to the west.
Ben Loyal is composed chiefly of granite, and has a distinctive shape due to the four rocky peaks, the highest of which is called An Caisteal. To the north of An Caisteal is the 712 m Sgòr Chaonasaid, to the south is Bheinn Bheag (744 m), which cannot be seen in the photograph opposite, and to the west is the ridge of Sgòr a Chèirich, 644 m at its highest point. The fourth peak in the picture is the 568 m Sgòr Fionnaich.
This is one of many photos from last year that have been stuck in my “to post” folder. This is from last April, when Jazz fell asleep on my lap, which he doesn’t do much anymore.

A southern lapwing hightails it out of the area upon my arrival. Luckily the hand was as quick as the eye this time, and I managed to catch it in the act!
This photo is quite grainy as it was taken in poor light - but Daisy was fast asleep & I wanted to take the photo without disturbing her.
(The EXIF data is a bit strange, as I used my iPad for the photo then emailed it to my PC for processing. The original photo was taken on 29 November, around 3:30pm.)

I was gone for 2 days on business. Myles couldn't stand it. When I got on the computer he did the closest thing he could to sitting on my lap........
Well it's got to be an improvement on living in a box under a herb garden . Once Fifi finds my lap to sit on, she moves upwards (by clawing) and remains under my chin trying to hypnotize me. Fortunately I am a very busy person and have little time for this to happen.

Going back a couple of years Mark and I took a trip to Corrour d stayed over in the Youth Hostel. With just a few hoards spare a decision was taken to hike nearby Beinn na Lap and keep our fingers crossed for a sunset. We weren't to be disappointed.
This view was taken during our freezing cold wait for the sun to set and shows the views west from the summit.
Grizz is a great lap sitter. The dogs and I are in the car while Rob's in the doctor's office. My lap had a sun spot.... very coveted by Basenjis :)
Doing laps
A swimmer is undertaking an invigorating start to the morning by doing laps.

My son took me for a beautiful walk in a little park near their home,,,, pure nature all around us,,, we walked a mile around a pond ,,,, it had sevral of these walkways,,,,wishing all of you a good day and thanks for your visits,,,,,
Here's one from a remarkable evening hike taken from the summit of Beinn na Lap in March 2018. It was particularly cold but as can be seen the views were out of this world.
Although I had the DSLR with me, at this point I hadn't mastered the photo-stitch process so this was a panorama taken one the iPhone.
