GEOVACUI-2: citizen science and cooperation initiatives against depopulation in rural areas is a citizen science project, following the work started in the GEOVACUI-1: rural societies in empty territories and their productive potential. Both have tried to deepen the knowledge of the phenomenon of depopulation.

Quite a few of the paintings were nearly as old as the churches, but the sum total of their conservation was accomplished with a simple cloth covering. In some cases, this covering also ensured that only the correct people saw what was painted upon the canvas. Spiritual knowledge is dangerous if in the wrong hands.
