Students are increasingly using their smartphones to conduct research. They can access academic papers, research reports and eBooks to increase their knowledge and watch videos to better understand concepts.
Many stakeholders in the education sector are emphasizing the need for Android application development to aid learning.
• Intuitive Classroom Management: Mobile apps for the education sector are not limited to students. Even teachers can benefit from technological advancements. The best Android app developers integrate a range of monitoring tools that help teachers keep track of a student’s attendance as well as learning. This helps teachers take a more proactive approach to identifying areas of concerns and meeting the needs of different students.
• Boost Engagement: Through knowledge-oriented activities, education apps can make learning more fun and engaging. And, various studies have shown that student engagement has a significant impact on retention through their academic life. Such students are less likely to drop out of schools and colleges. Easy access to course materials and notes help keep students motivated.
• Encourage Interaction and Collaboration: Android application development needs to focus on providing a single unified platform for students to interact and collaborate with each other as well as with teachers. Some students may be more comfortable asking questions or seeking advice from peers. Teachers can also be easily accessed for further assistance.
For younger students, the app may include the involvement of parents. They can easily receive updates on their child’s progress and communicate with the teachers. Mobile apps can also help track students in real time, which is extremely valuable in case of emergencies.
