Please feel free to comment. It's lovely to be praised, but, if you see something which could improve an image don't be afraid to say! There are several of my contacts who give my images honest appraisal and I am grateful for that.

Always Learning... Critiques are very welcome.

Completed my Woodland mixing bowl set this weekend! I found the 401, 402 and 404 for $15 at the Medina Antique Mall! They were dirty but didn't even end up needing any magic eraser! If the seller had simply rinsed them off I'm sure they would have charged more for them! I'm glad they didn't! :)

I was out in our summer cottage and took some shots. It was built in the 1950's and a lot of things in it are from that era.

Excerpt from www.mtr.com.hk: Led by the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation and artist Law Man-lok, “Tribute to Traditional Shops”, is the photography and illustration series of the four projects including Bamboo Kitchenware Store, Dried Seafood Store, Paper Offering Store and Rice Store.

The historical business district of Sai Ying Pun was once home to hundreds of traditional family-run shops, many of which specialised in handcrafted products for special occasions and everyday needs. Although many of these shops have now closed, those that continue to trade are a reminder of the unique character of this historic community.

For this project, a group of teenagers visited traditional bamboo kitchenware stores and spoke to the owners about their work and memories. Using these reflections, they worked with the artist to create lively pieces of art incorporating text and illustrations.

Two versions of a common kitchen utensil, also known as a fish slice, turner, or flipper outside of the United States. The spatula on the left is a standard-sized one.

As an essential tool used in making pancakes, the regular spatula serves its purpose, but its size is far from perfect when flipping pancakes any larger than about five inches (127mm) diameter. I put up with this issue for years, until I got frustrated and decided to search for a larger utensil, happening upon the one on the right. Even though it took some getting used to, it does a better job than a traditional spatula, thanks to its seven-inch-deep (177.8mm) paddle.

I photographed my grandma's lovely antique kitchenware for a bookcover I'm designing. the story is based on a culinary correspondence between a girl who's a chef and her great grandmother.

Can you tell that I love red? It makes such a lovely happy accent in the kitchen.

These are also fantastic to work with in the non-stick pots and pans.

As I love being 'creative' in the kitchen these are definitely my kind of GADGETS, those that actually WORK and are properly helpful!!

More fun from studio Indigo.

You don't need a recipe for this dish, although sometimes the eggs don't come out as cooked as we want: they are either too raw or overcooked.

Our technique consists of putting the eggs in a small pot to cook with tap water, that is to say at room temperature, to which we add some drops of vinegar and a tablespoon of cooking salt.

When the water begins to boil, we start chronometer to count eight minutes and after that time we remove the pot from the heat.

We empty the pot of water, but let the eggs cool naturally, without adding cold water.

And that's it.

The time it takes for the water to start to boil depends on the elevation of the area where we are. In our case, the elevation of our area is 700m (2,300 feet) above mean sea level.

The higher the elevation of the area, the less atmospheric pressure there will be, therefore the water will start to boil sooner than at a lower elevation.

If we are, for example, at sea level, the atmospheric pressure will be higher, therefore the water will begin to boil later.
