Sharka (a 95) is running happily with my 97 Link ECU. I have the magic bundle of wires in the next shot to thank for this. The past month or two of driving has been just wonderful. I missed my Link.
The Link isn't the newest, hottest ECU. It's not even sold anymore and is considered "weak." I mean it can barely perform 100 calculations for every 1 degree of engine rotation at 7000 rpm (if I remember right). But I love it. The keypad interface is so enjoyable to use and I'm decent at tuning it. It's one of those things that really gives Sharka the right personality. And thanks to the 1995 chassis build date, I'll never have to remove the Link for emissions inspection.

I don't know what the originally keypad came out of. Although it looks as if it came from some sort of calculator I don't remember having one that used metal "dome" switches. While the issue 5 MK14 board used the same type of keyswitch this is significantly more tactile, and therefore useable, than the onboard version. As this is 3 keys short it is not perfect but was only ever intended for use until I found a more suitable alternative.

Self-storage security by PTI Australasia. The PTI keypad is part of a robust self storage security system.
The keypad housing unclips from the dialer PCB. This reveals the rubber contact mat with conductive rubber domes, the traces it connects on the PCB and the individual buttons which slide out of the housing (one is removed here and placed just to the right of the housing containing the remaining buttons).

Here's what I have:
1. The Bridge (black plastic wrapped thing laying horizontal on bottom left)-Schlage wireless router-this is what Z-wave and the lock are linked together with once the bridge is connected to the internet.
2. Repeater-the white plastic thing (above the bridge). You plug this into a wall outlet and then plug your lamp into it and you can either dim or turn on /turn off your lamp from your cell phone. This happens after you synch it up with the bridge and connect the bridge to the internet.
3. Power supply cord-for the bridge
4. Latch and strike for installation-I didn't have to use this because I already had a Schalge Kpd installed in my door before installing the new LiNK KPD
5. 9 volt battery come free with every kit.
6. The exterior side of the KPD-this is where you punch in your four digit access code to unlock or lock the door.
7. The interior side of the LiNK KPD. The black plastic portion on top is where the radio frequency chip is housed. This will be synched up to the bridge so Z-wave and the Schlage intranet site can monitor and give remote access to your cell phone or computer.
NOTE: there is also a set of keys in case you have a battery die or some electrical problem with the lock. The mechanical portion of the lock will always work when you insert the key into the key hole.
