For our last night in Key West we decided to head to Mallory Square to join locals and fellow tourists for the nightly sunset party- and oh what a spectacular sunset it was. Pictured is one of the sunset cruise boats returning to dock. We had considered taking one of the cruises but I think I preferred the view from the shore.

An old key from my wife's collection, above a modern one.
This is a 3 image HDR photo taken through a 12mm extension tube. The background is simply a book with a silvered cover which has reflected the brightly covered tablecloth beneath the assemblage

This pair of matched keys has been in our junk drawer for years. We have absolutely no idea what they're for.
A quick high key shot for the Macro Mondays Flickr group. In this case, the tines of an iridescent fork.

This group of trees with their colour really stood out on the Beaver River... trying for a more high key look.
A large population of feral chickens inhabit Key West, Florida, reminders of the days when cock fighting was a sport on the island, and Ernest Hemingway spent hours in the local bars. Generations of released/escaped "Cubalaya" roosters have "cock-a-doodle-do-ed" their freedom and roamed free.
This handsome fellow is protected by law, but is not admired by all of the current residents of Key West. The chickens do provide local "color" and a link to the romantic past of Key West, but they are also noisy and messy. For now the Rhode Island Red hens/roosters still "rule the roost."
Looking south west towards the Straits of Florida, where the Caribbean Sea meets the Gulf of Mexico from the beach at The Reach on Simonton Street, another spectacular spot to take in a world famous Key West sunset. Key West, Florida, USA.
Mirando al suroeste hacia el Estrecho de Florida, donde el Mar Caribe se encuentra con el Golfo de México desde la playa de The Reach sobre Calle Simonton, otro lugar espectacular para disfrutar de las famosas entrada del sol en Key West. Cayo Hueso, Florida, Estados Unidos.

Macro Mondays: "Numbers"
Stamped onto the key is the number sixty seven. It has no meaning to me. It's just a spare key to my house that I keep on a string, so that when I go for a walk I do not need to carry my car keys with me.
This image is about 7.6 cm (3 inches) on the long edge.
Looking across the public square at this tower, as we enjoyed sightseeing through the city on this Holiday weekend.
A macro view of a single key. The frame spans one-inch across.
This is the first of two images in this subject of "keys." Here is the other image.
Strobist/technical info:
The scene is a 13-image focus stack composite. It was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights, placed 50° CL and 40° CR two-feet away from and one-foot above the subject. They were fired in Manual mode @ ¼ +0.7EV power through Neewer 24" x 24" soft boxes.
The SB900's were triggered by three PocketWizard Plus X's.

Some more experimenting with ND filters and trying to process them to the way I would like, that's the hard part.

Our first time trying this beautiful seaside resort. It was fantastic!
The mini-suite with kitchenette was terrific and newly renovated. Professional staff following all the Covid-19 guidelines, and this was the view from our 2nd floor balcony. We would definitely stay there again! Would highly recommend it. Come and visit the Florida Keys.

So here is our gacha item for the December round of The Arcade - The Ribald Butler!
Be prepared to have e big laugh with this one :D
He's scripted to show up when you're near him and say different things, related to the held objects.
Of course, there is an option for the butler to stay visible and silent if you want it this way.
We hope you find it amusing, as much as we do and wish you happy upcoming holidays! :D
Good luck and enjoy! <3
Location: The Arcade (opens on December 1st!)
More info here.
‼️After the event ends, the gacha machine will be placed at our in-world store, along with the other gachas from previous rounds.
This is my second go at taking pictures of keys.
The first hook holds the keys to William Evans' desk: the drawers and the secret compartment. William was born in 1849, but I don't know when he decided he needed a desk.
The next hook back holds the keys to the cottage that used to belong to my great aunt, WIlliam's grand-daughter. These are probably not all that old but certainly serve no purpose any more. They live in the desk.
The desk keys are probably the oldest things I own, although I feel more like they are just in my care for a while. And I am only guessing that the keys were made before the desk, which of course is still going strong.
Here's another perspective of the famous lighthouse in Key Biscayne, this time from the Phantom 4 Pro. We're testing the P4 Pro against the new Mavic and this sunset we thought we would do the P4 Pro because we're more used to it. We suffered two disconnections (any of you that saw our live FB broadcast will remember), but I took a lot of "blind" photos, like when I used to attach a GoPro to earlier Phantoms. Anyway, continuing to test both of them and making a video today in Grand Cayman to compare the two.
