Metal lunchbox from the 1979. Muppets on one side, Kermit on the other, with a groovy thermos where Kermit is eating lunch out of a lunchbox. So meta!

I pulled this off the net a while back, a little after the Palisades Backstage Playset was released. Looks really good on the front of the stair railing. A replica poster from eFX would be awesome!

Shawn is sitting on the back porch of the Jim Henson Museum. Why he is making that face is unknown to me.

fearful of the big green monster with such a sweet disposition, Penn, Gwen, and Carl try to appease Kermit with Tangerine the orange octopus (squid).

Kermit rather enjoyed the cookie, so Tangerine did nothing for his tastebuds.

This was in a display about pop culture - a very small display with terrible lighting. This was the best photo I could get of him.

How many times has Dickens' wonderful story been adapted for movies and television? I have no idea (at least 14 full-length movies), but here are some figures based on two of them! Kermit reading the book is a Hallmark ornament from 2005. The other Muppets are Palisades vinyl figures sculpted by Cynthia Woodie. These were released in 2003. Unfortunately, Palisades Toys is long out of business, so we'll never see the rest of the characters. I think that the figures from the Disney version are by Applause.

Kermit so wanted to do a Mustache Monday that he was thrilled with excitement when I said OK!!!

I loved Kermit's prints at the Disney Hollywood Studios

I sometimes look at the habits and behaviours of others and find them strange. There are things about myself which, if someone else was doing them, I'd think were a little odd. This is one of them. I'm not a collector, I'm not a hoarder, I''m not one of those people who obsesses about the cleanliness of their ornaments. However, I do have a secret, and slightly strange love - giant musical snowglobes.

My sister bought one as a random gift on a trip to NYC. Ever since, I've found myself drawn to them in the tackiest and strangest of locations - from Las Vegas to Dubai (which features a camel of course).

This is my favourite - a 2002 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Snowglobe.

I worry about myself sometimes!

Kermit has discovered the addictive nature of Flickr.

Muppet creator Jim Henson was born in Greenville and raised in Stoneville, just west of Leland. As a child, he spent hours playing along the banks of Deer Creek. It was here that Henson dreamed of and created the character of Kermit the Frog.
