I thought the lake was bigger, it was not much to go down to the dam (int he distance) and maybe a mile upstream (both arms). But it was a glorious day to be outside.

I've never been in a kayak, but friends tell me they're great for wildlife photography. What's keeping me from trying? Photography! I wouldn't want to take a camera with me during my first few times out; I'd be afraid of making a mistake and getting it wet. And, I wouldn't want to be in those wonderful places without a camera!
Maybe I need one that's waterproof . . .
Loading up traditional native kayaks onto the Polar Prince. The icebreaker is on it's first leg of a coast to coast to coast journey that will take it through the Northwest Passage.
I'm supposed to take my first sunset shots today but I first captured these varsity students practicing kayaking @ MacRitchie Reservoir.
Kayak silently beneath ancient cedar branches on a private exploration of ocean beaches and centuries-old shipwrecks. Wind your way through the secluded sea inlets and fjords of British Columbia's Trutch Islands. Pick a spot. And, prepare to be amazed.
I saw a lot of people enjoying the time in the Arno river with their kayaks / canoes. Looks like a fun sport.
An old picture, but a favourite. We were having a lunch/birthday party on the beach, when a group splintered off to go exploring the point and caves. A group launch, and lucky shot. Must have been that perfect wave that set them off.

A few years of practice and now reaping the rewards .Knowing the water and different fishing Technics we are able to capture those fish.Kayak fishing at sea is a dangerous sport but we are able to go in small groups of addicted kayakers and fish those inaccessible places .With an early morning start we paddle for miles on the ocean looking for different grounds and fish . Most fish are released but sometime some are kept for the table .Nothing taste better than freshly caught fish .Ian in this case displaying a fresh pollock ,Those fish are hard fighter and our lines get broke from time to time..
