Kayak fishing is my life , oh no , kayak fishing is my hobby . I am not privileged as such . I have got a passion . This year has been fantastic in every aspect . I set my goals as early as the first of January . Catching 25 species from the kayak in Scotland . This week we tackled the east . We teamed up well considering we are out to sea .

Species 25 came along nicely . Ding a ling as we say , the serpent looking cod . Half a mile out from the launch we have one thing in mind is to stay put on that kayak . The wind and tide are gathering pace , from time to time I check out on my friends Ian and Marcos .And they do the same with me .

This is multitasking , today’s fishing is not easy , the drift is fast .

The team is getting good , I feel safe out to sea .

I forgot to say , species 26 is now onboard too . A ( maossive ) scorpion fish . I did not know those fish could grow that size . We stay 6 good hours on the lumpy sea and say no to the last drift . We understand the risk and know our limits . This year has been so interesting in every aspect , we have learned so much as a team . No one knows where our next trip will be , that’s Scotland with the unpredictable weather . And we still have so much to learn , every day is a school day . Enjoy the images .

Sometimes, even as I'm taking a photo, I know I'm going to like it. Do you get that feeling too?

This woman was stretching her back and shoulders, just prior to propelling herself across the lake. She was good, too!

We went kayaking in Koh Samui and this shot was taken en-route to this little island called Mae Koh (translation: sleeping cow).

It’s late May and a group of kayakers paddle in Byron Bay, Australia, as the whale watching season begins. Soon the bay will be busy with whales as they rest on their long migration from colder Antarctic waters to warm northern bays to give birth. Then the whales will return with their new calves as they journey home, with eager tourists and locals watching them frolic.

In the Montreal borough (suburb) of Dorval. I'm not saying this is the proper way to do kayaking. Actually I'm not even sure these are proper kayaks. They were some distance off and I didn't get a close look. This was a telephoto shot at maximum zoom in my Panasonic. They don't look like traditional kayaks. And don't ask me what they were doing.

Kayak's can go places where hikers and swimmer, and even motors can not. This sunset scene taken between Big Goose Hole and Big Daily Bayou in the Ottawa marsh area north east of Fennville, Michigan is a perfect example.

At the BlueWater Resort & Casino Marina on the Colorado River in Parker, Arizona.

OHIOPYLE (AP) - Beginning today, kayakers and canoeists on a western Pennsylvania river will be have free rein to tumble 18 feet down a waterfall, a thrill allowed only once a year up until now.

The state Bureau of Parks earlier this month lifted a ban on access to the Ohiopyle Falls along the Youghiogheny River. On a trial basis daily through Sept. 12, the falls will now be open to qualified kayakers and canoeists willing to take the chance. If all goes well, the program will continue next year from mid-May through mid-September.

We went kayaking in Koh Samui and against my better judgement, I took the risk, took my camera out of the waterproof bag and took some shots!
