I redid some of his face up today but wanted to add this "before" pic to his album anyway.
I think he looks kinda sweet and melancholic here ... he's been with me + than 3 years now and I wanted a change!
--> new Kai on the next pic.

German actor Kai Wiesinger (1966) has appeared in several German TV shows and films since 1992. In Comedian Harmonists (1997) he played singer Erwin Bootz.
Kai Wiesinger was born in 1966 in Hanover, West Germany.
Wiesinger began taking private acting lessons as a teenager. During his Zivildienst he served as a paramedic. After that, he became an acting student in Munich. In 1990, he made his stage debut in the role of Harold in 'Harold and Maude' at the Bavarian State Theater. Since 1992 he appeared in several German TV shows and films. He received a Bavarian Film Award for his role in Sönke Wortmann's comedy Kleine Haie/Little Sharks (1992). Two years later, he appeared in the Anglo-German independent drama Backbeat (Ian Softley, 1994) a film on The Beatles' formative period in Hamburg, starring Stephen Dorf and Ian Hart. He then appeared in the hit comedy Der bewegte Mann/The Most Desired Man (Sönke Wortmann, 1994) starring Til Schweiger, Joachim Król, and Katja Riemann. The film was based on the comics by Ralf König. He had a small part in the Norwegian film Pakten/Waiting for Sunset (Leidulv Risan, 1995), starring Robert Mitchum and Cliff Robertson. A huge success was Comedian Harmonists (Joseph Vilsmaier, 1997), which chronicles the rise and fall of Germany's most famous a capella group, the Comedian Harmonists, in 1930s Germany.
Kai Wiesinger played the lawyer of Dr. Josef Mengele (Götz George), known as the "death angel of Auschwitz" in the film Nichts als die Wahrheit/After the Truth (Roland Suso Richter, 1999) depicting the fictional trial of Mengele. In 2001 followed a role in the second most successful Austrian film of all time, Poppitz (Harald Sicheritz, 2002), together with Roland Düringer and Marie Bäumer. He also played Emil's father in the family film Emil und die Detektive/Emil and the Detectives (Franziska Buch, 2001), based on the classic novel by Erich Kästner. He had a small part in the Television mystery Murder on the Orient Express (Carl Schenkel, 2001) based on the novel by Agatha Christie, featuring Hercule Poirot (Alfred Molina). The following year, he played in the Italian Mini-Series Dracula/Dracula's Curse (Roger Young, 2002), starring Patrick Bergin. Other notable screen appearances he had in the Minis-series Dresden (Roland Suso Richter, 2006), set during the bombing of Dresden in World War II, and the film Bis nichts mehr bleibt/Until Nothing Remains (Niki Klein, 2010) depicting a story about Scientology and its effects upon converts. More recently he appeared in the films Lucky Loser - Ein Sommer in der Bredouille/Lucky Loser (Nico Sommer, 2017), and the comedy Takeover (Florian Ross, 2020). From 1998 till her death in 2013, he was married to actress Chantal De Freitas. They had two children.

He's here! Finally after a century (three days) of waiting. He is so adorable and tiny. The company photos definitely do not do him justice. He is Isul Kujo Kazuya from the anime Gosick (I have never watched it). Little Kai here is my first Isul and will not be my last.
I was in the Kensington Market neighborhood of Toronto when I saw an impressive mural painted on a laneway wall just west of Spadina Avenue and I stopped to admire it. I could see that it would make a good location for a portrait as the wall was in shade but with nice reflected light from the facing wall of the narrow laneway. I leaned my bicycle up against a garage door and tried a couple of selfies to confirm my opinion about the light and then stepped out onto the sidewalk to see if I could spot an interesting person to meet and invite to participate in my Human Family photography project. After a few minutes I grew impatient and walked my bike back toward the street to leave.
I saw her arriving on her bicycle and starting to lock it up to do a bit of shopping. I was drawn to her friendly appearance, her braided hair, and her brightly-colored bike helmet and approached her to make my request. She thought I was competing for a lock-up spot for my bicycle so I quickly told her that was not the case and explained my photo project request and pointed to the painted wall. She was agreeable but said she didn’t have a lot of time because she had someone looking after her two year-old at home and was taking advantage of the “window” to get some errands done. I could remember well those treasured moments of independence when our sons were young and requiring constant care. I promised to make things quick and we proceeded to lock our bikes and make our way into the laneway. Meet Kai.
I demonstrated how I would like her to position herself, angled away from the wall and looking into the lens of my camera. The first photo was with her mirrored sunglasses on but Kai was quite willing to take them off. Once she blinked a couple of times to recover from the dazzle (the dazzle was from the sunlight, not from the photographer!) I took a couple more portraits. At my request, she donned her helmet again which I thought might add a nice splash of color and also capture how I first saw her. I was glad that her twisted braids still showed below the helmet. She offered to put a scarf over her shoulders for an extra bit of color which was vert thoughtful.
I could see that Kai was aware of time so I gave her my card and offered to send her copies of the photos. She hesitated, then said she would rather just email me at the address on the contact card. I could understand her hesitation as the whole encounter had come up quickly and there hadn’t been a lot of time to strengthen the rapport. I did learn that she is 35 and was born in Jamaica. When I asked how long she has been in Canada she said "I have been back and forth so many times, it would be hard to say." I squeezed in my request for a message she would like to share with the project and she had two. “Raise your hands in gratitude” and “Try your best in all that you do.”
As we walked back out to the sidewalk a man passing by paused to exchange a few friendly words. He must have seen us doing the photographs because he explained that the mural had been painted by a street artist from Tibet. We thanked him for that piece of background information and Kai, with my thanks, was on her way to do her errands. While unlocking my bike I noticed a children’s book in the milk-crate carrier on her bike and was amused. Only a concerned parent would park their bicycle with a book on how to provide cognitive stimulation to your preschooler in its cargo box. I took a quick photo of it and was homeward bound.
Thank you Kai, for squeezing in a couple of minutes of your limited free time to meet and participate in my photo project. If you see this photo, don’t hesitate to email me for copies of the photos.
