Welcome To The Jungle. (double exposure)

Concrete jungle is the perfect place for those two insane asshat clowns that embarrassed us again in the "debate" last night.

Play Projects

It's hard to imagine how early explorers made their way through Louisiana before there were any roads, or even paths to follow. It had to be numbingly slow going.

Big urban jungle with a clammy (the riverside) note.

Walking in the jungle and enjoying the nature.

The seaweed made this 2,000 piece jigsaw very challenging!!

It would only just fit on my dining table. When I completed it

I felt I had really achieved, after spending days on it. :-))

This huge spider (about the size of the palm of my hand had spun its web about 3 metres above the path. Not a place for arachnophobes!

Went to a jungle today, but this place is still at jungle's edge :)

#DoodlewashMay2023 prompt: Geranium.

Did you know that the Ixora Coccinea plant is also known as the ‘jungle geranium’?

Sunrise shot from Pidurangala rock, in the Sigiriya area of Sri Lanka.

The most common bird found in the backyard along with its cousin, the Yellow-billed Babbler. These gregarious birds are found in the Indian subcontinent and forage in small groups of six to ten birds. One can see these birds right through the day, even in the afternoon during the peak of the summer, noisily foraging on the lower branches of trees or on short plants or often on the ground. I have frequently driven out of the windows the largish spiders that dwell in our homes only to have one of these birds scoop in to wolf down the offering.

No yellow patch near eyes as Common myna and has a tuft at the base of the beak

My Photoblog- My Third Eye...!

Close up of Jungle cat. At present, the UK only has one jungle cat left to view and photograph.

This was Jack who very sadly passed away last year. Photographed at Big Cat Sanctuary.

Sydney as seen from 'The Forgotten Jungle'.

Here's the surreal sound of Cocogroove with their brilliant track 'Forgotten Jungle', to accompany my image of Sydney from the depths of 'the jungle', lol. This is the 'Swazi Mix':

Photographed from the remnant jungle-like forest.

Upper level of Blues Point Reserve, Sydney.

The forest is located directly below the Blues Point Tower.

Jungle, the rainforest in the Philippines.

Not so much left of the forests in the Philippines, but the scenes that are intact, are really beautiful especially with the mountains in the background. There are green mountains in the most parts of Luzon, outside the main city of Manila. Here you can see the part where the famous vulcano Mount Banahaw hides in the mist. The picture was taken looking out from Del's resort. Still there are not so many regular tourists visiting this part of The Philippines, though there are some ecology travellers. So if you are in the neighboorhood one of these days, I sure can recommend it.

Opening in a path - Moruya Island Camp

Fynn hiding behind a bush and spying on the dogs and their owners. He has made peace with the neighbour's dogs exept one who will probably always stay his enemy as he barks and barks as soon as he sees a cat. The others just come to the fence and look if the cats are around but usually stay quiet.

song- Jungle Love by the Steve Miller Band, from the 1977 album "Book of Dreams"

Spent the day with a friend who is an entomologist and was introduced to some fascinating insects. This Malayan Jungle Nympth holds the record for producing the largest egg laid by an insect at 0.5”

This familiar ash-brown colored babbler has a yellow bill and a darker eyebrow in front of the eye as opposed to its pale eye which gives it an "angry" look. They are often seen making noise in the swarming ground and throwing garbage in search of food.
