Last weekend we had a rare June snowstorm in the mountains. It didn't make it down to the valley where I live. But it did make for some beautiful and rare June alpenglow.

I lucked out and actually heard this goldfinch singing while poking around the feeders in the backyard today.
Usually I only spot the goldfinches at the front feeder which isn't as nice of a background. I lucked out again because this little guy was not bothered by me coming out of the house and inching closer to get this shot.
